Why is Ohtani missing from the lineup?
-
There is no problem in the game where Ohtani is the starting pitcher when facing LAA in franchise mode.
The problem is when Ohtani comes out as the designated hitter. If you play the next game after starting, Ohtani always stays on the bench instead of appearing as the designated hitter.
If you proceed with the simulation, you will be recorded as the designated hitter of the opposing team without any problems However, when playing the actual game, Ohtani never appears as the designated hitter.
I'm always disappointed with this game
Why should franchise mode users feel discriminated against?
P.s.
I'm Korean and I'm not good at writing English, so I think it might be awkward to write through a translator. Please understand. -
If you are the Angels, do you have Ohtani as your DH in your lineup? If he is the pitcher he will not be the DH. I know in MTO Ohtani automatically becomes the DH whether or not he is assigned. You can manually put Ohtani as your DH on the lineup screen.
If not, It could have been a trade that would be better choice at DH, or his day off. Ohtani, like others, would still get days off. I don't think any player in this game plays 162 games.
As far as discrimination, DD is their baby. So that seems to take priority. Lots of problems in MTO and RTTS as well. This year seems to be a work in progress. Even DD is sorely lacking.

If you try franchise mode with OAK, you can see this problem.
This is because this problem arises only when LAA is set as the opposing team. After the match against LAA starting pitcher Ohtani in the opening game. If you plays directly in the second game of the season, Ohtani is unconditionally missing from the opposing team's LAA batting lineup.
Of course, the third game is the same. the fourth as well
However, if you run the OAK VS LAA season game as a simulation, Ohtani, who disappeared from the direct play, is set to the 4th batter DH.
Of course, I don't think that a player has to play all 162 games, but I can't understand that the game developers promoted the improvement of Ohtani's lineup logic this time, and that even though Ohtani was the main model, no one recognized this simple error

Weird. Lots of bugs this year. Simple errors are the hardest to find. Hopefully soon. I've played against DH Ohtani on MTO since my last post. Must just be a Franchise thing right now.

Ok, it’s not just me. In the Angels lineup vs LH DH it has a Starting pitcher in the 9 hole and you cannot sub him out for a hitter only another Pitcher. Also, Ohtani is completely missing from the players list there is a spot that says “None”. It is only the Angels. I traded Ohtani to Baltimore to see it the glitch would fix itself but it did not. I released Ohtani and resigned him to the Angels and it fixed the glitch.
