Correct. Obviously, there are bugs within their base code. Debugging their skeleton code, and coding a fix with each issue, would be a monumental task that Sony will not support. You basically need to build a new game from scratch. Since that is not realistic with their limited resources, SDS has to build on top of their (bugged) base code every year.

It's like having a Lego tower that has problematic pieces within the base. You cannot just replace those pieces, without collapsing some other pieces built on top of it.

Even with the annual issues, I still enjoy the game and think SDS has done a fantastic job providing interesting content and solid online H2H gameplay.

Yep. Mookie and Yamamoto were great. Kiki came through with a clutch play. Smart by Roberts giving Miggy the start.

However, it will take more than 3 runs to win it tomorrow. The bats better come alive or it might get ugly in Toronto.

Sounds about right, it was brutal. I had to take a break and walk away after every couple of matches or my eyes would start crossing. ...If I can do it, then you can. Just be patient, work counts, look for your pitch, and take one match at a time. The Ai Pitchers will eventually make mistakes.

BTW: Go directly to Clemons, and practice a couple of times. Keep note of how many runs you can score against him and that will show you how many henchmen points you will need to acquire. After my first go around, I failed but was still able to tag 11 runs on Clemons. When I did the Showdown the second time, I only needed 7 or 8 runs when I got to Clemons, and so I knew that I could get that if I was patient.

I completed this Showdown on my second try and went 9 of 10. I was able to beat Clemons by making him throw a lot of pitches. Basically, I drafted a lot of lefties, sit my PCI middle center, and waited for a middle-high fastball to crush. I had about 15 outs left when Clemons was almost out of energy and his pitches became more flat and only topped out at 99-100 mph. This is when I did most of my damage and scored the final four runs I needed with around 10 outs to go.

I used this strategy for all the Pitchers except for O'Day. For him, I sit my PCI low. I was able to get a hit and immediately subbed him for a speed guy off the bench. Then I stole 2nd and 3rd and used contact swing to knock in my runner from 3rd.

• I recommend having a couple of speed guys on the bench to sub in for slower runners on base. There are too many instances where you will hit into a double play... so stealing 2nd is important when you only need a run or two with just a few outs remaining.

Sale pitches from a unique, high-velocity, sidearm windup. It's just quicker than some traditional wind-ups.
That is who I picked also. He is the one Pitcher than can give me 4-5 solid innings against very good players on AS and HOF.

I have nine more collections left. I am going to work on the Neon TA and Summer Mini Season simultaneously to knock those out. The other seven collections may take a while because I have no idea how to acquire those cards without buying them from the market. I may skip the Standout collection due to that Posada card cost.

I do not think SDS has ever claimed this game was an exclusive "simulation". While they do incorporate some realism into the game, it has always had some arcade aspects as well. I remember in '14 or '15, hitting a 500 ft.+ homerun with Edmonds, off of a pitch just above his shoe laces. That is not sim.

That does not always work. At times, I have even shut down my system and disconnected from the network, and the logos still did not show up on reboot.

The only fix that works in those cases is to make a small adjustment to your hat's custom logo, of the H or A logos that are not being loaded into a game.

Yep, but after many years of dealing with this logo issue, I discovered a reliable method to fix it, at least temporarily.

Anytime your logos disappear, just make a slight adjustment to your hat logo, and they will show back up. I thought that adjusting just the home hat logo would fix everything, but then I realized that you may need to adjust both the home and away hat logos. Regardless, I am not sure what makes the custom uniform logos disappear, but this is how you can restore your custom logos.

I used to delete everything and re-upload everything and change the names of all of the logos, etc... and those methods did not always work. However, changing the positioning hat logos, seemed to always work, and that is when I realized that the bug is probably somewhere in the line of code that deals with the hat logo.

*So when your logos disappear (home or away), just shrink the hat logo by one pixel, or move the hat logo by one pixel... and your custom hat, jersey, helmet, jacket, etc. logos will re-appear.

But I agree, this is inexcusable... along with Lagaussa or whaever that nonsense is with the hack stadium.

Uniform logos still disappear, the lineup menu has been freezing all year, custom stadiums have been plagued by some hack stadium, etc... The OP has a valid point and is just coming here to vent, like a lot of folks do. There have been some annoying problems since launch.

However, I do not agree that the "game is broke". H2H and vs CPU Gameplay has been enjoyable for me. Thankfully, Sets and Seasons are gone, and I have enjoyed the Innings format. There are still a lot of fun, legendary cards to use, and the Spotlight program has been excellent this year. Lastly, SDS still does live streams regularly, and they have communicated with me after each bug or feedback submission.

So while there is much room for improvement, I am fairly happy with the game.
