Ok here goes.

I preordered about a month ago and then decided to cancel my order and wait to see what happens during the early release.

I got a full refund and PS stated that the game cover would still show on my console; but wouldn't be able to be accessed unless I bought it again.

I just bought it again, as I got a free $100 PS card from work.

Now when I go into download it; it just gives me a timer. Nothing about having to download it.

Is it safe to assume that the download from before is still there, because I repurchased the game, and I don't need to download it again?

Or do I need to delete that download, if I can do so without messing it up, and redownload the game from the new purchase?

This for ps4 as i dont have a ps5 and dont know if its different.
go into data storage and see if it is in with the apps.yes - you are good. No- you ll need to download from the library.

Ok. So I went into Settings: Storage: Applications and it shows a 79.72 file for MLB The Show 22. So I assume I'm good.

Yes! You can move from platform to platform and retain all your items and inventory. So say you buy the DD for your PS5 and one copy for your Switch.

You'll get the packs and stubs on both consoles. But whatever cards you pick plus the 25K in stubs on the PS5 will be assigned to your PS5 account and what you pick on your Switch will be assigned to your switch.

So ex: you pick Randy Johnson from your PS5 pack. Unless you pick Randy from your Switch pack; you won't have him in the Switch.

And as for the stubs: Both consoles will only show 25K.

The stubs yes but let's say you got the Digital deluxe for both version even link you would only see the special packs lock to the system. Now open this packs and what ever player you pick then goes to your inventory and can be seen on all platforms. So pick Randy on PS and Vlad on switch get on all

Again, this is a touchy subject and needs better clarification. I couldn't see them being on both platforms as theyre technically bonus packs.

How about this: Did you play on two consoles this year? PS and an XBox? If so, when they gave out the Server Issues packs did the cards you pulled from you PS account show up in XBox and vice versa?

If they did; then I would assume it would be the same with these preorder packs.

Stubs. No.

But again, without better clarification from a dev; we may very well see a bunch of posts later with people complaining that they bought two seperate DD versions and they're cards aren't showing on both consoles.

That is a good question. I assume they're bringing by Uniform cards. So are these logos only available via the actual jersey card or if you can now put a created logo on a sleeve like you could with the batter's number.

Of course if they allow it to be with created logos; that may open up a whole can of worms with vulgar logos.

Do you have a PS4 that you can play over the weekend? If so, couldn't you just load it on that console?

Whatever happens to SDS announcing these players? They started a bouncing at the beginning of the week and it's been nothing but crickets since.

Maybe they'll announce during tomorrow's stream?

No. You can only play early release on a DD or MVP version

Why would they test 21s servers if they utilize different servers for 22?

I like everyone's optimism about these cards; but I have a feeling these will be a tad bit harder to get than normal.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're locked behind a program where you can't get them until you complete a set of stages and each set is released in two week increments.

Is anyone else experiencing longer than normal wait times when logging into the game?

Seems like it's taking longer than normal. Like it was to be a server error and at the last second you get in.

Not a good sign if you ask me.

I don't think there is an option. I think you would have to ay least order the DD if you wanted the option to transfer over to a PS5

I hope you're wrong.

If I want to spend all weekend grinding the heck out of a game, that will more than likely base it's progression on XP, then that is my prerogative.

To limit how much XP I can accrue, just by playing the game, is not a good business model.

Now if I sat there all weekend and played vs the CPU in a 1v1 matchup just so I can run the score up to 5,000 to 0 thus giving me 1M in XP; that's a different story.

I disagree. While I think it is somewhat likely they keep it, it was only put in place to counter exploits (which they hopefully fixed). I also think they want people doing mega streams on twitch and hitting an xp cap isn’t a good look. I think it is more likely that they dropped the cap and bring it back quickly if need to combat exploits.

I hope this is correct.
