Stealing fans is virtually unnecessary if your only goal is finishing the map, and you dont care about finishing it in a certain amount of turns.

I pulled Acuna last week.....but a whole lot of squat since. Pulling Acuna is a big deal and even though that should be what i think about.....i cant help but be bummed about a week of packs with 4 free agents and a bronze.
I think its just how our minds work. No matter how good a pack is....if the next one sucks we are bummed again instantly.
The packs are weighted with odds.....odds against getting something good.....its just how it has to be or we all would have the best players and the chase would end....and we would be bored.
Just know, something great is probably around the corner.....enjoy playing the game, and let packs be a bonus. If you get something awesome, if not, use what you got. Its about playing baseball first and foremost.....dont let the packs ruin the reason we are here.
I think about it wrong all the time.....but we have to keep reminding each other.....

Every player dives like a super athlete with super human reflexes and gravity & friction turned off. I dont know how anyone thought this change was game worthy.

1. Unless you have gold or better fielding.....you shouldnt have a dive. Thats the first fix. You dont see even mediocre fielders dive because its a skill and most players dont have it. Is The Show a Simulation or not?
2. Laterally, you dont slide along the ground then catch the ball -- You catch the ball in the air or just as you hit the ground, then momentum carries you and you slide to a stop. The dive in this game is some weird anti gravity, anti friction slide along the ground INTO the ball......its just ridiculous. The animation is all wrong. The physics are all wrong.
   Its next gen - Gravity and friction are possible in the game....use them....or fake it more creatively....games did it successfully long before they had current levels of tech.
3. Dives are RARE. They shouldnt be happening 5 times a game. There is something completely off when they are happening so often.
   If "The Show" is supposed to be more simulation than arcade game....this is important.

It just feels like the game has gone backwards this year.....and the absurdity of how dives now work is one of the reasons.

The Big Dog Showdown has now crashed twice on me in the last 24 hours....on XBox FYI - It counts it as a loss so you lose your progress and the entry price. Both times trying to start the 2nd challenge so i hadnt made my stubs back.

Other showdowns (and conquest games) have crashed on me, giving me an automatic loss....but it seems to be happening more frequently.....and its hard to keep your patience when it just continues to happen and costing me stubs.

Please look into it. Xbox obviously has crash problems, so something needs to be instituted to protect players from losing stubs, at least....

My game just crashes and closes every third game or so.....and you get credited with a loss - Its getting tiresome. Plus -- wheres all the content this year? Last year we had Innings, plus TA which was a whole games worth of content in itself, plus new moments every week, plus special events, plus tons of new conquest maps, giant monthly award programs, & more -- This year i feel like they cut 75% of the content. One program....and they are trying to stretch what was weekly moments & an end of month huge content card drop, into a few moments each week --

Ive had some issues with this years game, but i want to compliment SDS when they deserve it, too.
I really enjoy the conquest maps. The overall challenge of this type of content is my favorite because you can set the difficulty to your preferred challenge level, and get some hidden rewards in the process.
I appreciate the work put into the maps, and want to offer my appreciation for their increased inclusion as content over the past few years.

Because the devs prioritize things like making a "Switch" version & photoshopping the word "indians" off uniforms instead of details like updating old card art. There is limited hours in the day, and id argue they didnt make the best use of them this year....

I hear ya, man. Until they make the game based on physics instead of RNG, its going to feel unfairly out of our control at times. Youll get those breaks eventually and the other guy will be in your shoes.
If it makes you feel better, out in reality, baseball is fundamentally just as odd. One guy will hit a 100 mph line drive straight at the CF for an out, and the next guy will dribble one in the infield and get a hit out of it.
Baseball is silly....but thats why its great.

Why do you need a DH in DD? -- Because those the rules of baseball. I cannot believe how many people are making excuses for SDS - The universal DH was in the news for months as a probability -- if you want to be considered a serious game, you follow the sport and prepare for its rule changes....
They put in ghost runners and reliever requirements instantly -- this should have been no different.

Ask yourself why it was....

There is 50% less content and TA has lost its original purpose. Last year there was always something work towards and content to tackle. This year i finished everything in a week. They have moved the game very much towards, pay to win. In fact, ive never seen the game with so many cards there is no possible way to earn. They never would have put out FotF cards for every team but only gave you the ability to earn, less than half of them...in the past. PLUS - i swear you get less stubs for playing - i dont remember walking away with so few after a game or an afternoon of playing.

The game is much more Madden, then the baseball simulation i fell in love with 5 years ago. I dont remember players warping to get into catch animations so often, either.

Lack of content is just one of the serious problems i have with this years game....

It seems like virtually every 3 inning game ive played, there has been a diving catch by the CPU -- Often by players with lower defensive ratings. Its ridiculous. This needs to be adjusted.
First - If a player doesnt have at least gold defense, he should almost never dive for the ball.
Second - There is a reason it is extremely rare in the MLB - its extremely difficult & can lead to multiple bad outcomes. Most players wouldnt risk it....especially in the outfield.
Its just silly how often its happening in the game.
Between diving, and the pitcher being an NHL level goalie who blocks the entire middle of the field -- something about this years ball vs player physics feels off.

I hope this is something the devs will look into.

Absolutely agree. Every aspect of the game is worse than last year. Ive never seen such unrealistic game "physics" in a "The Show" game. Every 4th hit is a diving catch. Line drives float at 20 mph. Players warp to get into a catch animation. The pitcher is a black hole that catches anything within a 10 ft width around the mound. Then there is the graphical glitches from LAST YEAR that still arent fixed. Then there are the dozen crashes ive experienced in limited play time, and 2 complete console locks, in which i had to hard reset my XBox.
(Yeah, im playing on Game Pass b/c i wasnt preordering after those awful "feature premieres" --- "Switch" & "Co-op" -- really?)
The programs are SO stripped down. The content is unengaging. Everything seems sloppy & low effort.
Not to mention -- this is the first real NEXT GEN year and we got NOTHING to make use of all that console power.
Its just a complete disappointment.
This should have been the year they made the game more realistic than ever, and instead we got a soulless Madden-itzation of the franchise.
Is it me or have the decreased the stubs you get from playing,too? I feel like i used to get enough to at least buy a card here & there....this year i swear ive gotten like SINGLE DIGITS for playing conquest games.
TBH - its probably Sony that forced SDS to focus on everything but the game....i just dont understand how a studio declines that fast -- something behind the scenes must be going on.

Ive been playing "The Show" everyday since "MLB The Show 18" - and ive watched as the game has become more and more like a Madden type cash grab. Now instead of improving the game we get "Switch" versions, and novelty garbage like "Co-op". Its year 2 on next gen, and the physics have not improved in the slightest, and mechanics like "check swings" are still RNG.
Where is the effort going -- into photo shopping historical uniforms like the Cleveland Indians off player cards. Besides looking amateurish, and cheap, its gutless.

Im very disappointed in what i am seeing.

WTF -- This still isnt fixed. Come on guys. Its been at least 3 weeks.

I declare myself the winner, also. Its a tie for first place by everyone. YAY!!!
