MLB the Show 21 - never mind it’s no longer in gp
-
I have used both. I have a Series X and my son has a PS5. I also had a PS5 for a few months last year. I felt like with 21 it played much better on PS5. This year I feel they are very similar in how they play….but I prefer PS5 because of the controller. I just haven’t found a controller I REALLY like on Xbox. I like the PowerA for pinpoint, but I feel it is a bit too sensitive for PCI placement. The Elite isn’t bad, but I just think PowerA handles pinpoint better. The PS5 controller just seems to handle the analog sticks better in my opinion.

I’ve tried so many controllers as well haha. I agree 100 percent that on Xbox some are great for PPP and some for hitting.

This has always been my fear. What have you settled on?

Ok, I can chime in here. For some reason, and so far only with this game, the control that comes with series X is wonky for pitching and you will even notice some jittery pci hitting, even though it didnt affect my result hitting it definitely does pitching. So people were suggesting this "power a control". And it is awesome! And only 30 bucks on Amazon. At first I thought it felt cheap, but that was mainly just the weight because it doesnt take batteries, its wired and come with the wire and is replaceable. The thumbsticks feel the same as Microsoft and the buttons actually feel a little better to me. It also comes with 2 extra buttons on the back you can program to be any of your buttons and still use those buttons as well. For example I programed my back 2 to be L3 and R3 but if I push down on my left and right stick it still works as well. And they are very naturally placed. And it absolutely smooths out the PCI and pitching in MLB TS. They come in a bunch of colors too.
As mentioned above though, the PS does win on controls for this game. But the Power A control is nice.

I agree with Chuck, the elite 2 and normal series x controller seem fine wired, but are a little fast/wonky on ppp. The Power A, Turtle Beach, Wolverine all worth checking out. Just return the losers.

So is the Elite just overkill?

I kind of like it a lot. You can mess with with everything in the settings of the Xbox. Like there are probably 1000 different settings you could use for stick sensitivity and you can change it for either stick.
I’ve been meaning to dig into it but haven’t yet.

Forza Horizon 5
Gears 5Gears 5 is a disaster of lameness. If i wanted to play sailboat id go outside. Its the worst Gears game by a mile and is a reason to buy a PS5.
Horizon 5 is fine but thats it....that the whole XBox list?
What a terrible company.
