Just FYI -- The "Throwback" 1989 Cleveland Indians uniforms -- which are famous because of the "Major League" movie franchise -- are not accurate in the game.

I get that SDS would never use the real logo that appeared on that uniforms hat -- Its a dang logo but it might offend someone. God forbid. (Or it may be banned from official use by the MLB for all i know)

BUT THEN DONT INCLUDE THE UNIFORM.

Rewriting history by CHANGING the uniform and including a version that NEVER EXISTED is is dishonest.

Either include the whole uniform as it existed or dont....but changing it and then using it to make money while never mentioning that its not really the 1989 uniform is dishonest..

If you cant use the logo because of MLB rules...just say so. If you did it because of your own sensibilities...have the guts to say that too.

Or just dont use a uniform that is not acceptable to current standards.

People deserve better than to be spoon fed, a sanitized, fake version of baseball.

Is there a need for CPU pitchers to include the logic to try to pick off runners standing on 1st? The "Moment" is about me (the batter), hitting a HR, and the runner is completely irrelevant. Does the runner need to have "stealing" logic either?

It becomes frustrating to wait for 3 or 4 pick off attempts and then a steal attempt when they have no bearing on the "Moment".

Taking out all unnecessary CPU mechanics that make the player a spectator, would keep things moving. The more things keep moving during "Moments" the more enjoyable they are.

The tattletale thing just rubs me the wrong way, sorry. Its words on a screen, they cant hurt you. If you dont want to play someone with a dark sense of humor or that even is a [censored] -- quit out.

Because the devs prioritize things like making a "Switch" version & photoshopping the word "indians" off uniforms instead of details like updating old card art. There is limited hours in the day, and id argue they didnt make the best use of them this year....

Im sorry my friend. There is no excuse for the disastrous pile of garbage they released. The amount of lost stubs and time by players is class action suit worthy.
Ive been a defender of the game and SDS for years, but their silence is unforgivable.
Over a week into launch and you cant even feel sure your game will count or your cards will appear in your inventory.

All people can do is keep telling their stories. Make sure to do it on other forums. So far this situation is being virtually ignored outside of the community.

I thought it was a fun moment. It took me a minute to get used to Ramone's "fast" ball. Once i got locked it, it was pretty easy.

I like when they think outside the box with these Moments though. It breaks up the monotony of the usual ones.

Someone at SDS get Ramone on a throwing program for next year!

Ive seen it 3 times in my life and it happens 3 times a game. Its ridiculous and says something negative about ball flight and AI defender logic.

It makes the game seem canned.

I hope its something that is fixed in future versions of the franchise.

Absolutely agree. Every aspect of the game is worse than last year. Ive never seen such unrealistic game "physics" in a "The Show" game. Every 4th hit is a diving catch. Line drives float at 20 mph. Players warp to get into a catch animation. The pitcher is a black hole that catches anything within a 10 ft width around the mound. Then there is the graphical glitches from LAST YEAR that still arent fixed. Then there are the dozen crashes ive experienced in limited play time, and 2 complete console locks, in which i had to hard reset my XBox.
(Yeah, im playing on Game Pass b/c i wasnt preordering after those awful "feature premieres" --- "Switch" & "Co-op" -- really?)
The programs are SO stripped down. The content is unengaging. Everything seems sloppy & low effort.
Not to mention -- this is the first real NEXT GEN year and we got NOTHING to make use of all that console power.
Its just a complete disappointment.
This should have been the year they made the game more realistic than ever, and instead we got a soulless Madden-itzation of the franchise.
Is it me or have the decreased the stubs you get from playing,too? I feel like i used to get enough to at least buy a card here & there....this year i swear ive gotten like SINGLE DIGITS for playing conquest games.
TBH - its probably Sony that forced SDS to focus on everything but the game....i just dont understand how a studio declines that fast -- something behind the scenes must be going on.

Cant stand them.

Waiting during every at bat for the requisite 3 balls before getting a pitch to hit....sometimes then you still dont get one. Losing whole at bats because i need a double and the man at first wont advance past second unless its hit in the upper deck. Losing whole games because AI game flow caused me to only get 3 at bats. Suffering through having to get XBHs with a contact hitter going up against a sinker ball pitcher. Suffering through 7 game moments when all of these things happen leading to being a hit short.

Meanwhile you get zero team affinity, cant try out new cards, and spend most of your time waiting for "restart" to light up so you can click it.

I know some of those stat grinds in The Show 18 were tough, but you could always be making progress towards something else, too.
I preferred them in every way.

Moments are a dark cloud i cant wait to get over with.....

Who thought loading after every at bat was a good idea? Come on, man. You are better than this SDS.

Playing it once should have alerted someone to its game breaking flaw.

This is not going to make "Moments" any more popular, either.

I've tried all 3. Mattingly is my favorite real life player of all-time, but this card does not do him justice. Really good contact, but you really need more power (I'll still use him because of my love for The Hitman). Jason Bay is fine, but I think there are already better outfield options. I love Lee Smith. Donnie Baseball is my favorite player of all time also.....

Stats due him an INJUSTICE -- he played in an era when his 35 and 31 HRs were top 5 in the whole league and only 1 player hit 40 (and it was 40 on the nose).

If he played in the juiced ball era he would have put up numbers they would still be talking about today. Instead he just hit .307 for his career.

Oh, and he played gold glove defense.

If he played now, not only would his numbers have been ridiculous, modern medicine might have been able to keep him playing at an MVP level longer, since it was nagging issues that held him back for the second half of his career.

Anyway - He could never get a fair shake in a game like The Show. They dont reward line drive hitters.....Im just happy he got a Boss card. Thats pretty cool!

It always happens with the guy on 2nd. Even with 2 outs and a ball into the outfield they head back to 2nd before you can get them to advance....ive lost games because of it.

If its a legitimate mechanic with base running, i wish it was explained.

I feel like its gotten a fair shake. Its just isnt fun. I like every single other game mode. I play them all. But when i know there are new moments i have to play for rewards, i DREAD it. Ive never felt that way about another part of MLB The Show.

Going 7 for 10 but failing the Moment because you need a double with a noodle bat hitter, and the cpu runner on first didnt go to third in the best opportunity you had.....is infuriating.

I love the game. I play it every day. This one thing drives me nuts. There has to be a better way.

A quick note of observance would have probably been the normal response from a studio, but you guys drop a nice gift on us.

You didnt have to do it. No one would have thought twice about it.

Well, i for one, appreciate it and think its the kind of thing that sets SDS apart from the other sports studios.

Ive had some issues with this years game, but i want to compliment SDS when they deserve it, too.
I really enjoy the conquest maps. The overall challenge of this type of content is my favorite because you can set the difficulty to your preferred challenge level, and get some hidden rewards in the process.
I appreciate the work put into the maps, and want to offer my appreciation for their increased inclusion as content over the past few years.

Ive never seen anything less aesthetically pleasing. I thought the game had bugged out when i was playing the daily moment because it looked like all the words were jumbled up on the uniforms....

Turns out.....thats how its supposed to be.

The news media puff pieces should be a clue that he is garbage. If they love him, he is necessarily a liar and a phony.

Get your information from real scientists. I suggest Stanford and their clinical virology lab. Theyve been on the data since day one......but the pandemic has never been about that, so the media virtually ignores their findings.

Stick to real numbers. The CDC has good data, but ignore them when they speak publicly. Their words are political but their information is good.

Also, listen to doctors from hospitals caring for COVID patients. People on the ground, actually doing the work. They are often telling a totally different story than elitists like Fauci and his fans in the media.

Oh, and never trust a guy who looks like he has never thrown a ball before.....AND accepts an offer to throw out the first pitch at a MLB game. Its a sign of a galactic level of narcissism and pathological hubris, plus.....
