    Classics Pack Missing?

They screwed up the reward path a day added the last AL Pack to the missions.

Thank you. That makes sense. I figured it was a mistake of some kind. Like I still have 10 icons, banners and uniforms that I've never unlocked because they only gave 3/5 for each division with some random pack at the beginning of the year. Figured it was some mistake like that. Appreciate the help.

From what I can see, there are AL ones at 7, 14, 21, and 28 and NL ones at 10, 16, 24, 31 x2. I would assume that there should've been 2x AL ones at 28, but my program doesn't show that. Did you get all 30 cards somehow? Or am I just misreading something.

Am I the only one that has just 9/10 Classic packs in the program? It looks like one of the AL packs is missing. Is this true for everyone?

  • Diamond Uniforms that can't be bought on market

@jcassaro44_PSN said in Diamond Uniforms that can't be bought on market:

They are from the faces the franchise program, you couldn’t choose all of them, so a few uniforms are unavailable.

That's what I thought. I was just wondering if they had reappeared at some point and I missed them. Because so many of the L/F henchman packs from those programs, and even the boss packs, have been recycled further along in some of these bigger programs.

  • wwpjd28_MLBTSW wwpjd28_MLBTS

I was looking through some of the uniforms and I realized there are 12 diamond uniforms that can't be bought on the market that I don't own. I'm assuming these were part of the team packs in one of the early featured programs, as I also have 12 gold team icons and gold team banners that I assume were from the same packs in that first featured program. Is everyone missing this many of these items or did I just miss them when they came around again in a different program?

  • Mission Progress Tab
  • wwpjd28_MLBTSW wwpjd28_MLBTS

I no longer get any information about ongoing missions in the mission progress tab after games. Is anyone else having this problem? And if so, is there anything that can be done to fix it at my end? Or is it something they messed up in one of their patches?

I really hope they bring back the Extreme Program and the All-Time Team Program in '22!

I do too. I think any increases in offline programs and modes would be a big improvement in DD. I enjoy playing online, and the changes they made to online rewards this year felt like a good step (especially in BR - I played BR a ton more this year than ever before). But I would enjoy more offline grinding and game modes. Those 2 programs seem like good ones too bring back from 20.

Why was there no Extreme this year?

Because SDS moved their content model to accessibility for all and away from “exclusive/limited” awards. This move was likely driven in part by data (what % of customers completed extreme/went 12-0/etc) and in part by their desire to have the best “free”content in all sports gaming.

I get that a lot of people didn't complete Extreme. I was one of them and I am a Yanks fan that really wanted that Gehrig card. But I still enjoyed the challenge of trying the mode even if I couldn't get the final card (I finished the moments and conquest and probably could have finished the showdown if I did it enough times - I just kept losing in the final one and gave up after a while).

I think the move to allow anyone to get any card was a good overall strategy, but as the year went on, I felt like I enjoyed RS very little. Because it was just win based like Events, you had pretty much identical pitching rotations throughout RS so it just got tiring after a while. This year, I think I only completed a RS 30 win season twice (Trout and Gehrig I rushed to get). Barely played RS besides for that - games are too long, hard to find the time for, and just felt so monotonous. And I really only got all the cards for maybe 2-3 events until these more recent ones that are the only things going on in the game. This is the first year I got every single card in the game, but I ended up buying most of the RS cards like last year and even more of the event cards than last year because the rewards weren't really that good.

BR was a great move though because no matter what all the teams are mixed up by the draft so every game felt fresh and fun and I finished like 5-6 of those programs. Extreme feels like it would still fit into the theme of everyone technically can get the cards, but the challenge was part of the reward. Plus, if they added it now, it would only be people who really enjoy the game playing anyways. And I would imagine they would make the money they spent creating it back with all the free advertising from content creators that finally have some fun gameplay to do.

Andruw Jones is out like Kirby Puckett.

Why is Kirby out by the way? I never really understood why a new legend for this year only got one card and it was available from day 1. He passed away in 2006 so I don't know how the developers could have changed their opinion on him throughout the year. Did something happen with him that I am unaware of?

Neat idea, but what card could they possibly use as the reward to make the effort even remotely worth it?

I’d absolutely do it for a Finest JRam and/or Flashback Mondesi.

That's what I'm saying! There are definitely cards left that they could do to make it worthwhile (JRam from 2017 had .300 BA both sides, 20+ steals and great power so that could be a card to do or you could do finest from this year). I'm a Vandy guy so I would love a Leiter card if they need to do a pitcher. Either way, they definitely could still find cards that would get people excited. And I think an entertaining and challenging offline grind actually felt worth it just in being some of the rare people to complete it. Doubt they will do it at this point, but I am sure there are plenty of people that would enjoy it (and the content creators would probably enjoy it too since it would be something new to mix in with their content about the new game).

would be fun, tho last year the reward was lou gehrig and very much worth it imo, also the pearson and yeli cards. that being said I still think his mission of hit 3 home runs in a game on HOF or legend was my least favorite time on the show

I think I came up with some names that would be at least as good as Yelich and Pearson. Don't think we have a Lou Gehrig caliber inner circle guy left, but I don't really care quite as much about the cards as having something to really grind offline with no baseball in sight and not much going on with online. I agree that 3 HR mission took me forever. I think the guy pitching was a wild pitcher that threw a lot of fast sinkers so it was really hard to get several pitches to smack for homers. The Mo mission was hard too if I remember right (trying to score several runs to come back against Mo on legend). But pretty much all of them took me days and so many attempts. And the conquest took a long time to knock out. I never actually got the Showdown done, after getting to Pearson like 3-4 times and failing. Either way, I just think it would be fun to have something to work on offline and at my own time.

I listed some ideas above. I don't think there is a Lou Gehrig left, but Andruw Jones, JRam, Judge, Mullins, Buxton, Edgar Martinez, that cracked Mondesi card, Kirby Puckett, etc. all could have juiced cards as exciting or more than Peterson and Yelich from last year. Don't really know if I can come up with many pitchers (there are some legends like Guidry that normally get 99s but no one that is crazy exciting - they could give us a really juiced Jack Leiter or Casey Mize and I bet those cards would be fun). Either way, I'm less invested in the cards since we would only use them for another 2 months (it'd be great to get fun cards compared to what they are giving us in events now though). I think I am more interested in the prospect of having a challenging, time consuming and fun offline grind to last the next 2 months and fill the baseball craving that I feel is doomed to be unmet by any real baseball until into the summer.

Not “excited”, but I’d definitely run through it.

Probably a better word choice. I think it would be fun if they added something offline to grind with instead of just new events for the next 2 months. RBI 2 would work I guess, but Extreme would be a lot more entertaining and diverting.

  • Extreme Program
  • wwpjd28_MLBTSW wwpjd28_MLBTS

Would anyone else be really excited if they dropped Extreme, even at this late stage of the cycle? I do think they could give pretty fun rewards with Jones, JRam, Judge, Mullins, Buxton, maybe a really juiced Edgar Martinez, monthly Mondesi was super popular and loved, Kirby Puckett could be really fun, etc. But even if the rewards weren't that good, I'd enjoy something fun and really challenging to play offline until the new game comes out, especially with no prospects of baseball anywhere on the horizon and less people playing online.

  • Who is left?
  • wwpjd28_MLBTSW wwpjd28_MLBTS

RIB 2 would be great - there are quite a few legends that never got high diamond cards. Trammel is another that comes to mind and Andruw Jones really should get a legit spectacular card every year and never does.

I also really want a few more 99 Flashbacks too. There are a few current day players that should get 99s every year no matter what. Judge and JRam are firmly on that list for me and I would love a 2017 season card for both of them (or even just a finest from this year).

  • 10th Inning player program
  • wwpjd28_MLBTSW wwpjd28_MLBTS

Carlos Carrasco is another possibility. He got a 99 last year and a juiced Cookie card would be better this year with pinpoint pitching and increased emphasis on control. But Bieber seems the most likely to me. He has a clear fit into Milestone category and definitely deserves a 99 before the end of the game cycle.

  • Event New Finest
  • wwpjd28_MLBTSW wwpjd28_MLBTS

I want Machado, Mullins or JRam. All three should get 99s before the end of the game cycle. Only a few more players out there that would really get me excited but those 3 could all be really fun. The player program is likely Shane Bieber who could be fun on pinpoint this year.
