I'm not really excited for anybody in this "One Sided Hitters of The Franchise" program... didn't help the whole stream the content guys never showed the break or control of any of the pitchers

Thanks, maybe they'll update the schedule when the new event drops. Hopefully there will be some good week 4 content for the Future stars program this week as well.

We have the Brewers Program coming as well.

Game sucks this year. Everything boring, gain pxp, do moments, play vs cpu because online is garbage... all that for what? Show packs?

I've been hearing this a lot and I don't understand it.
I have been busy a lot of this year and I haven't gotten to play nearly as much as in 21 but even then I've still played a fair share of ranked in both games and I don't see how they are bad. In fact, they're quite fun and challenging. This opinion may be influenced by the fact I have a PS5 and a monitor but there is still nothing as fun as playing ranked and the competition that brings IMO.

My ways for hitting fastballs
#1 Monitor
Helps a lot but not everyone can get/afford one

#2 Warming up before grinding/playing H2H games
Go to sliders, set fastball speed to max. Then go to custom practice, use a hitter who's swing you like against any live series/legend player with generally fast stuff (DeGrom, Diaz, Ryan, etc.) Set the difficulty to hall of fame and start with only inside pitches and expand the zone as you get used to the insanely fast pitches. You don't have to be hitting perfect in the slightest since these pitches are well beyond any selectable difficulty and are more meant to make all star or whatever difficulty feel slower in comparison and sharpen your reaction time. After doing this BP for a while. You usually will be able to go into ranked and hit fastballs without latency.

#3 Where you stare while batting
I used to stare at the PCI while batting and wait for the pitch to come in. But the smartest way is to stare at the pitchers cap because you can see his arm winding up and get more reaction time for the pitch.

That makes sense though, these other posts highlight instances where the commentation doesn't make sense. They will still say its a no hitter until the no hitter is done or there's a hit. That just makes sense.

Im with OP on this actually…..every time I play a game it’s like there are “innings” and in one half the opponent pitches and I’m hitting; then we switch and I pitch and they hit. And then we do that over and over until one of us wins.

Like, why can’t we have lightsabers, and wide receivers, and playbooks, and witches/magic, and zombies, and side quests…..it’s like I have to play other games to get something different.

cant wait to grind that program! Gonna love an 85 Dan Pleasac that gets shelled in anywhere that isnt rookie vs the cpu.

I know this is likely obvious but KC causes lag because of the water effects and FOD has tons of corn that has to render

There is no "next gen". Its current gen and last gen. Maybe you should get a current gen console and then when you get wrecked on that, you can find some other excuse.

The difference between PS4 and PS5 or the XBox versions is minimal. But some people need every excuse under the sun to justify their losses.

This is pure nonsense. I had Xbox One and was hitting below .200 and about to give up on the game. Instead I got a Series X and am now a .300 hitter and winning half or better of my H2H games. It is borderline impossible to hit on old gen.

Surely it has nothing to do with playing the game more and getting better over time or anything...

I have an old gen and suck H2H. Doesn’t current gen run at 120 fps and old gen 60 fps? That’s makes a huge difference in seeing the ball coming. Also I play on a TV and supposedly people who play on a monitor have an advantage cause of response time.

Depends on the type of TV and what settings you have because the size of the screen and amount of colors have a huge factor on refresh rate.

When he's supercharged he's good but you truly are letting your fan bias get to you with this take. LS Trea with no supercharge is just a worse Kenny Lofton IMO.

we talking IRL or in game? In game I love Vidal Brujan, George Springer, and Devers. IRL I always will love me some old school A's ballers Rickey Henderson, and the Bash Brothers (Although their use of steroids makes me looks back on them less fondly).
