I don't think we'll ever get confirmation of this, but I expect that @Dolenz_PSN is right. Those of us who got the exception will have to re-start Mini Season just to see if this patch fixes things and prevents us from getting the exception again.

No, the PvP games I've played today were fine.
The "unhandled server exception" some people get right before/after their Mini Season championship series hasn't been fixed. I also had some problems getting Mini Season games to start today. I hadn't had that problem previously. I don't think I've seen an error playing Conquest today though.

The bugs in mini-season have been around since early access and they haven't done anything about people just flat out not being able to play a game mode. Pretty lame that I wasted my time getting to the championship, just to likely lose all my progress if they ever find a solution.
Server patches are not game patches.
My guess is that many of the issues being seen are going to require an actual patch to the game on the console and not just server maintenance.
You'd think they would've patched that by now considering it's been a problem for almost 2 weeks now. Their lack of communication shows that they don't really care. They pump out all the content but can't fix their brand new gamemode.
I didn't play The Show 21 much at all last season. Is this terrible communication common for SDS? What about the technical glitches, has this been a common problem during the first month or so of previous game launches?

It's crazy how these bugs don't seem to affect everyone. I just finished a season, without any bugs. Meanwhile my friend is playing at the same time and he's winning games and getting losses. And then he made the playoffs as the number 1 seed, and he didn't even get the rewards for finishing in the top 2 or just making the playoffs.
I finished my first Mini Series without any bugs/crashes as well. I got knocked out in the first round of the playoffs in that season. I just got the "unhandled server exception" for the first time after I made the finals of my second Mini Season after being down 2-0 in the semi finals series. It seems like many of the people who have gotten the server exception get it right before or after the finals. So it may be a problem with the mode.
I just made the finals of my second Mini Season after coming back from down 2-0 in the semis. Then I get the unhandled server exception. So frustrating!!
I got knocked out in the first round of the playoffs in my last Mini Season and had no problems with it. Based on the other thread about this I read, maybe the server exception bug is only triggered before/after the championship series?

I've gotten multiple "unhandled server exceptions" today for the first time. (Playing on XB1.) Interestingly, I didn't get one until after the server maintenance earlier this morning. I was somehow able to fix the problem once by completely re-starting the game. Of course, after I made a comeback and won my semi-final Mini Season series to make it to the finals for the first time, I get another unhandled server exception that I can't fix.
I didn't play last year's game very much, were the server problems this bad last year too???

This is not acceptable huh? Unfortunately Michael because online play is such a huge component of the franchise day one issues will occur. Day zero issues will occur as well as the game isn’t officially out yet.
Your items will be granted to you. Don’t worry and don’t get frustrated over this. Literally every game with online ever has issues on day one yet alone day zero.
Everything will be worked out in due course just like it has been every other year. The Show Devs are excellent at communication and addressing issues as quickly as possible.
Just try and be patient.

I finally figured out how to download the game after you purchase the Early Access Pass! Microsoft didn't properly include directions on the MLB The Show 22 Early Access Bundle page. Once you purchase the MLB The Show 22 Early Access Bundle, go back to the home screen on your XBox, then go to the Game Pass tile and enter Game Pass. Once you enter Game Pass, there will be a "MLB The Show 22" tile with a picture of Ohtani on it. Click on that tile and you'll get an option to install the game.

I'm getting "check back in a little bit. We're having trouble getting your stuff right now" whenever I go into Manage You Own this on the MLB The Show 22 XBox Game Pass Early Access Bundle page on my XB1.
By "tried to enter multiple times" do you mean you went into Manage You Own This and eventually the game started to download?
