Seen a lot of folks complaining , currently and even in past regarding offline grinding for some or all of these programs. Thought I’d offer my two cents.

Playing offline modes to acquire some of these cards can be a bore for sure. That’s why being efficient imo is cardinal. If you’re like me and play a lot of offline , and then dabble into the ranked , and events games then hopefully this can be helpful for you.

My approach is simple. Gain as many cards as I can prior to playing mini seasons or conquest. That means putting my head down and slogging through moments and showdowns. Once TA moments and showdowns are complete you’ll be at 20k+ in each division , which nets you a captain and future card. This is where being efficient comes into play.

With your 12 packs , fill out a roster. Grab a pitcher or two , reliever, and position players to spread out on the diamond. Sometimes keeping a regular from your main squad can make it more fun.

I always try and have two ‘grind’ starters in my rotation. , usually at the 4 and 5 spots. This ensures I face lower level pitchers in the games. Keep track of your stats needed and play the games

I often reference player missions in the companion app. Very helpful. For instance we need x amount of K’s with this captain. If im sat 10/12 entering a game I’ll pitch with said card until I get 2 k’s and then I’ll use my other starter from the bullpen. Typically I start games with captain pitchers , and then I relieve them with futures starters since they only need pxp.

Once I finish up the TA conquests doing this I’ll have another bundle of cards to grind with. I’ll take those in to mini seasons and use the same approach.

In mini seasons I play to 19 wins. That nets me 3 vouchers from wins. I load and quit the rest. This allows me to get the playoff team vouchers as well with having 6 games remaining left to win.19 regular season + 6 postseason nets me 5 total vouchers just for wins. Then I get the 3 bundle vouchers to go with them.

This has been my approach. If you’re struggling with these programs I think it should help you. If you aren’t struggling or prefer other ways disregard. This post is only mean to help those who don’t understand how to grind.

So was in the process of doing the POTM Brian Reynolds challenge ( behind on potm ) anyhow I had to make a trip to the bathroom. Thought I paused the moment before I walked away only to get an achievement notice while on the toilet through my Xbox app. The CPU walked me 4 times and I got the ‘I’m walk-in here’ achievement while on the toilet. Moments are so weird

Edit. Sadly this community has become so toxic and defensive that a person cannot even share something funny without all the fan boys getting defensive and [censored] hurt about it. Settle down clowns , this wasn’t a complaint post. You can stop sending me nasty private messages now.

Seriously, what has happened that I am no longer just naturally accumulating stubs this year? At least last year if you would just grind BR or most other modes, you’d get multiple sellable silver or gold cards that would go for quite a bit and accumulate lots of stubs. This year my stub total seems to be crawling.

Needless to say, if the strategy is to get us to buy more stubs, I ain’t doing it!

I’d never defend a company for over reliance on microtransactions but they are getting shafted over at Microsoft. They just give the game away for free. They gotta make up that lost revenue somewhere.

Gave the game away? Game pass is a subscription. Xbox users pay monthly for the service to ‘rent’ the game. It is not nor has it ever been free. Additionally microsoft pays the developer a lump sum of money up front for the license to put it on game pass. If they were losing money on the deal they wouldn’t have made the deal multiple years in a row. Even Phil Spencer has mentioned multiple times now that he was actually shocked by the amount of people that end up buying game pass games once they leave the rotation. Again game pass does not nor has it ever given away any games for free

My kids are in bed , my wife is doing her stuff , it’s dark outside and it’s also 25degrees. Don’t have a dog either. Maybe I’m just bored and decided to type about it on the forum for the game that is semi responsible for my current state of boredom

If course they are. Tons of people got the game for free today. Which means I can’t play the game I payed for.

I’ve only played a handful of online PvP games this year. I think I’m unbeaten even. I just don’t enjoy it. Its not the reason I turn it on. I like to play and relax , which I can do 95% of the time in the offline modes.

I wish there were a nice little offline program to use your built up squad on. Rewards wouldn’t have to be equal to online rewards , but it would allow folks an Avenue for 9 inning games with their squads that’ll also lead to something decent after a determined amount of success.

That's why they pushed the start date back a month to accommodate this larger release, but still they fail. At least dont charge for "early access" especially when you can barely play the game. It's a d&ck move on their part

Did any of you consider the fact that they were making the game during a raging PANDEMIC? They studio is already lesser than 2K’s or EA’s and you want to [censored] on them for this? Seriously?

The state of this game can be likened to a 90 year old woman driving the wrong way down the interstate at 80mph with two blown rear tires in a rain storm completely oblivious to the world around her.

I think we will see a Freddie Freeman card. Dude raked in July. .400 average so far 4 bombs 3 doubles and has added a whopping 21 points to his average. Only stuck out 8 times in 50 at bats and has also walked 8 times with a OBP of .475 and is slugging over .700. Only has an 87 overall live series. Good candidate for a 94-96 card , not a master card though.

Preach brother! I’ve been doing this crazy thing where I swing while I’m batting and throw while I’m pitching to earn PXP from compiling stats as well. Sometimes when they hit it, I run over and try to stand where the ball is going to land and catch it for one of the three required outs needed to end the inning. Never even thought about using the required cards to complete the missions tho that’s genius. I’m assuming you turn the Xbox on before you do any of this though?

Clearly you missed the disclaimer at the end. Goal was to help folks who are struggling , not reinvent the wheel for seasoned players. Good job on the post though. I’m sure it made you feel super d duper swell , likely the highlight of your week.

Apparently these promo codes expired on the 20th from what I’m seeing in multiple places. Unfortunate that I subscribe to the emails , scouting report , maintain a presence on their forums and play the game and use the companion app daily and I never once seen anything regarding this promo offer until I looked at this forum this morning. Very poor communication on the part of the dev team.

My issue with diamond quest is that the majority of the time spent in the mode doesn’t advance program stats. This to me is the biggest deterrent

I’m not one of those that thinks a perfect perfect should always be a hit , but I can honestly tell you I have LOST COUNT of how many perfect/perfect foul balls I’ve hit where I’ve been given a measurement on how close they were to home runs.

Aside from hitting companies straight in their wallet , our only option is to use our voice and our dialogue as a community in an attempt to incite change. If you’re fine with the status quo then so be it. That’s your option. Telling me that I shouldn’t have a voice or an opinion on the matter is plain ignorant.

Everything we do in the game is and has been a [censored] shoot to this point. Save them ... they might disappear , spend them and watch what you’ve spent them on disappear.

Look , clearly these server issues aren’t going away any time soon. If they cannot keep the content constantly in a playable and progress able state then remove the time gates from all programs and delay any future content until these issues are fully resolved. It’s a tough one to swallow for those of us that have completed content and are awaiting more , but fact it’s what is best for the game and the community as a whole.

Would also go a long way to communicate a plan for current and future content time gates in regard to the issues mentioned above.

I suck at showdowns. Other than the super easy intro one that gives you the gold bieber card, I haven't completed a showdown yet this year.

Gotta use a patient approach , same deal as any mode in the game when you ramp up the difficulty. If you’re interested in getting better there are tons of settings and approaches you can use to overcome it. I sucked really bad before , I can at least consistently be productive at all star level now just with some tweaks to my settings and being patient and knowing what I’m looking to do with each hitter.

I love myself a FF. His live series has suffered since the start and his hitting isnt as good, but if we see a 99 FF. I dunno. He may make my 1B.

He’s on freakin fire man. .429 avg , .507 on base , now 5 homers 12 rbis and just ended a streak of 35 straight plate appearances without a single swing and miss. Maybe I’m a homer ( Braves fan ) but that’s seems pretty impressive. He could get the lightening
