Larkin, cause he rips

Thanks for the advice, I’ve been batting him in the 8th spot lately due to my low hitting average with him.
I’ll just have to be better on getting RISP for him to utilize that clutch attribute. I seem to have weak fly outs on good contact, or I line out with him consistently.

Does anyone have hitting tips for 99 Posey.
I really want to be able to use him, but I cannot count on him offensively one bit (hitting low .200), he’s on my squad for his defensive contributions at this point.
Should I be looking for a certain pitch, or is there a sweet spot in the strike zone for him?
I tried biggio, but he costs me too much defensively.

Yup, hello darling my old friend!

I swear you deny that request and boom they score 3 runs lol
I’m always nervous that karma is gonna slap me around when I deny a FQ. So, if they send me a FQ, I’ll let it sit there and run down their pause timer...and they either retract their FQ request or forfeit.
That’s disgusting that you have to let someone’s timer expire so you can get a free win.
You must be trolling, they can choose to retract their FQ and not lose...SMH

Sounds like no one is really certain how a very basic but critical part of this game's mechanics works, which is pretty amazing considering the popularity of the Show. Would be nice if SDS would take a moment to give us a little feedback on this.
This! The last time I played madden, I believe it was madden 17 or 18, they had a training mode that would teach you the ins and outs, and tactics of playing offense and defense. Would be cool if they had this in MLBTS, and of course fix all the glaring issues in the game as well.

Mets collection reward Olerud.
Solid defense and I can always count on him to get a clutch hit.

This is correct, has nothing to do with deception as argued above.
Eh, semantics. If you throw a fastball with Chapman with full “effort” input it will surely be faster. But it will also be flatter, and easier to decipher, that it indeed is a fastball hurling at the zone.
Throw that same fastball with “green” effort input, off of the slider tunnel...it won’t be as flat or fast, and you just bought yourself a few milli-seconds of time for the batter to determine what your throwing. By having that slight “hump” in the FB’s flight path, it helps it mimic or give the split second illusion that it may be a slider.
I struggled mightily with Chapman, because I was trying to throw the heat as fast as possible. But with the effort input adjustment and tunneling, I’ve righted the ship. So in part it does have something to do with deception.

When you see it drop that low; do you run back-to-back speed tests?
I noticed the orher day that I had HORRIBLE lag. Ran a Network test and it came back at 50-60mbps.
I turned off the Network Connection then ran it again. Jumped up to 280-290.
I run a few tests, and it’ll display 60~mbps result. So I’ve been keeping my game time early in the day, or late AF at night to avoid losing due to lag.
What do you mean, “turned off the network connection.”
-
Wow I never knew that!! I always thought the red meant that it was being thrown harder so it had a higher chance of missing the spot, but would come in at a faster speed
It does throw it at a higher velo, but I’ve also had those “red” effort pitches hit very hard, so I tend to use them sparingly, and focus more on the “green” effort pitches.
-
What pitching interface are you using?
I use analog, and the “hit-ability” of the pitch depends on a few things; overall pitcher’s confidence, individual pitch confidence, and hitting your marks on the interface.
I’ve also noticed one fine detail on the analog meter. It’s not just hitting the yellow “release” bar and then hitting the target, but how fast you “flick” the joystick up after you hit the release bar.
If you move it fast, and you get a red color on the meter, it will be easier to identify the pitch at release.
If you get a green meter color, the pitch will be more deceptive...and if you tunnel it with other pitches, will be harder to hit.
Go practice with your pitchers and try to get green indications on the analog meter...each pitcher has their own input speed requirements.

I have been noticing that PlayStation has been throttling my Internet speed. I’ll have 300+mbps download all day up until 3:30pm, at which time it will drop to 60mbps until 11:00pm. I’ll run speed tests on all my devices, but the only one running slow will be my PlayStation.

Agreed. They shouldn’t take away the ability to bring in a starter in a relief situation, that starters stamina should take a severe hit as a punishment though

Yelli is a monster at the plate, but plays like a goober in the field...
He’ll get you hits and potentially score runs, but he will most deff allow his fair share of hits/extra bases

I feel like there is issues with the game. But, if player input was the only thing that matters, what would be the point of the “in game” player attributes?
The player’s attributes also have a say in how that player performs. Let’s say you hit your marks perfectly on the analogue meter for a pitch, and the pitcher has a 50 point control attribute, you cannot expect a perfectly placed pitch.
