Hot and Cold Hitting Zones
-
This is a good question, I'd like to know for sure too. I'd assume not though, because it's not as stat and RNG based as directional hitting. also whenever I throw a low and away anything to Bellinger, the one little blue square he's got, still gone. Lol.

Think it only has any effect when tge batter is cpu controlled or when simming

How does this work exactly @Collin_SDS

It's questions like these that remind me how helpful it was to have a game manual included with the game.
-
What if hot/cold zones were the key to all hitting inconsistencies?
-
Hot and cold zones are just weakness and strengths or a hitter in the particular part of the plate. It doesn't mean you will have a better success rate but you will get a slight boost on hot zones and a slight decrease on cold zones. That's why I don't use any of the new FOF players, they all have cold zones all over.

I don’t think it makes a difference, but I do have a theory if anyone cares...I think a players spray chart is an influencer on outcomes. Let’s say you have a really good pull hitter. If you get a really good feedback, say good squared up, but it’s to the opposite field, I think your outcome is way worse than if you had even just slightly pulled the ball. This may be part of the problem of why PCi results aren’t totally trustworthy. Any takers?

Sounds like no one is really certain how a very basic but critical part of this game's mechanics works, which is pretty amazing considering the popularity of the Show. Would be nice if SDS would take a moment to give us a little feedback on this.

This! The last time I played madden, I believe it was madden 17 or 18, they had a training mode that would teach you the ins and outs, and tactics of playing offense and defense. Would be cool if they had this in MLBTS, and of course fix all the glaring issues in the game as well.
