Anyone else having issues trying to play Online Ranked games? I updated the game this morning but now every time I find a matchup in Online ranked it doesn’t even get to the lineup’s, it just closes out to the main start screen with “CHALLENGE FAILED - The game server closed your game session”. Annoying…

Why are y’all complaining so much that it’s taking a while? Don’t you want them to actually take the time to figure out the issues, fix them properly so it doesn’t happen again? Y’all are on here crying like it’s life and death that the servers down and being fixed. Let them do their thing and fix it properly and stop crying. Yes we all paid to play, yes it’s not ideal, yes we are frustrated but god [censored] let them fix it!

How hard is it to start an APPROXIMATE timing window and then watch
For the attributes and algorithms to do the actual " playing" for you ??

You guys want to use that type mechanism, then have at it..AND do it against each other not skill based players.

We just want a way to isolate the tee ball boys out and away from the guys who actually Aim at the ball
With some sort of simulation of a bat .
There's plenty of players to go around... BUT the two different skill sets have no business in the same game whatsoever. Never will, never has.

Also to those saying the top players ( say top 20 in online rated for instance ) "ALL use zone"...
That is false and in a big way...

The no foul balls to speak of, and home run mashers out of no where toddler tee ball boys are indeed as I print this sitting in the top tiers on page ONE as I type.

The guys (& gals) who long pause and swap to tee ball hitting simply in essence because the opponent pitches good and they can't hit...OR when being behind they then get a man on base....you guessed it they pause and go to toddler tee ball and suddenly hit the game winning lick after striking out 15 times prior.
It's ridiculous to say the least and there also needs to be " a settings lock" to prevent these settings manipulative changes ,* except for " camera views".
I use mound visits every single time on defense and on offense " quick menu " at the plate ONLY as a way not for just for authenticity But foremost to show respect to the other player that I Am NOT one of the dime a dozen multitudes of "them" who will do anything to win games against faceless people who to top it off will give you NO prize !!

I use Outfield view and meter pitching. It’s what works best for me. I’m 23-3 on ranked online games (not DD) and on an 18 game W streak.

A worthy adversary. Ive been playing lots of Ranked Online and am around 19-1. I will say a lot of people seem to be very beginner level but hey, id like to think my pitching is pretty lights out. I use whatever the default camera is for pitching and pinpoint. Pinpoint is a very nice touch, i enjoy it.

Haha yeah definitely have run into a lot of newbs so far this year but I’ve been playing for 5+ years now so I’m consistently good. I also only play with the Phillies who aren’t a top team so my rankings jump a little faster due to XP. My big thing is taking balls. Everyone wants to throw across the plate instead of strikes. Be patient and wait for them to get frustrated and start to throw strikes lol

That’s just a dumb statement to make. Plenty of good players do. Just because we choose not to blow our money for packs or play 10 hours a day to stay competitive in DD doesn’t mean we aren’t good. I only play online ranked because I choose to only play with the Phillies. I do the same in Madden with the Eagles and Flyers in NHL. Don’t be a try hard. Plus you’d probably get whooped by the top 10% of online ranked.

Last season when I played online ranked using exclusively the Mets, I stopped after I was 26-0. Literally no one good plays it.

Btw, I spend no money on packs, and I get home from work at 6pm. ~3 a day if I’m lucky?

Online ranked is cool until you realize how much better the other game modes are.

26-0 is nothing though, I’m 23-3 in the first 4 days of play. If you actually climb the leaderboards and get inside the top 100 you’ll get matched up with better competition maybe you wouldn’t think it’s so easy. Obviously people have their own “favorite” game modes and that’s fine, but to say anyone who’s good doesn’t play online ranked is still a dope comment. I don’t care to build some fantasy team or collect cards by doing challenges. I like playing head to head with my favorite team and the current mlb rosters. Doesn’t mean I’m not good because of that.

Noticed some choppiness but I’ve definitely been playing fine as thousands of others have as well.

Meter is just what I’m used to. It also depends on the pitchers you’re using. I only play with the Phillies so over the years I just got use to the pitchers and their speeds on the meter. It’s all what YOU like. I hated pulse and pinpoint seems okay but I’ll just stick to what gives me W’s lol

I just linked my account, I’m 23-3 was ranked inside the top 100. My games are still showing in Game History and on here for my 2021 stats it shows my correct record however when I check the leaderboard it’s not saying anything just blank.

First, I think you need to reacquaint yourself with the definition of humble.

Secondly, you have not made a comment yet about directional hitting that has not been belittling or demeaning to those who use it. You are building yourself up by tearing others down. Decidedly not humble.

By the way, there are folks over at the Operation Sports forums who will insinuate you are a child and not a true fan because you play DD and not Franchise.

Only thing is that the 2 forms of play need to be seperated by user choice just as guess pitch is.

What this comes down to is people getting angry because they are losing/have lost when they feel they should win because of how their opponent plays.

• Some teams want to hit gappers and HRs (Baseball)
• Some teams run the wing-t (Football)
• Some teams go empty and throw (Football)
• Live and die by the three (basketball)
• Get inside for the easy score/foul (basketball)
• Using directional hitting (The Show)
• Using Zone Hitting (The Show)

I do not hear anyone complaining that throwing the ball 40 times "isn't football" or that shooting 3s isn't basketball. So I find it pretty rich to have a gamer come on a baseball video game forum and tell people how they should play and how one way of playing shouldn't be allowed in competition. When fact is that their preferred way of hitting (zone hitting) doesn't accurately simulate hitting a baseball either.

So quit your complaining. When the servers are back-up, login, and do what you do: Stair down Rizzo's crotch from your Strike Zone Camera and act like you're amazing because you're moving a curser around a square.

You do still know you have to be accurate in your swing and direction of the bat to be successful right? You can still swing and miss at a ball down the plate if you are early or late and you can still miss a ball if your directional swing is up and in but the ball is down and away. Yeah man I’m having trouble finding a match today even when the ratings are maxed out lol I’m ranked at #50 so maybe that has something to do with it? I’ve never been ranked this high up so not sure honestly..,

Where were you watching his games? He’s got like almost 150 played already it’s insane. I’m only like 22-2, no way I’ll be able to keep up with the top dogs but hoping to stay in the top 100 this year.
