Which pitching mode and view do you use?
-
I'm new to the show this year since I had an xbox one and just got a ps5 a month ago and grabbed the show 21 a few days ago.
I am wondering what style and view everyone uses? I tried all of them and I like analog or pinpoint. I'm unsure which I like best however.
For view I am more unsure about, but right now I have it set to strike zone upper I believe. What view d you like?
-
I use Outfield view and meter pitching. It’s what works best for me. I’m 23-3 on ranked online games (not DD) and on an 18 game W streak.
-
Pitcher view with Pure Analog
It's all user preference so try them all out and stick with what YOU like. -
Pitcher view, pinpoint
-
Pitcher offset to pitch, the show 15 to hit.
-
Outfield pinpoint
Reto for hitting -

Sheez. I tried meter, but I didn't like how fast it goes back down. I may give lt a better shot. Pinpoint I was having trouble with timing, but started getting use to it last night. So I may stick with that.
Thanks for the responses all I guess it's just whatever you like best and there is not a "best" option.

Meter is just what I’m used to. It also depends on the pitchers you’re using. I only play with the Phillies so over the years I just got use to the pitchers and their speeds on the meter. It’s all what YOU like. I hated pulse and pinpoint seems okay but I’ll just stick to what gives me W’s lol

PinPoint is the most accurate compared to others when you are pitching perfect on all. It has the least amount of RNG in it.
PP > Meter > Pure Analog > pulse > classic is the order of least RNG to most RNG. -
for Cam View use Strike Zone 1,2,3
whichever one that you like (i use 3 and have allowed 15 runs through 5 games)
now for the style if u have very quick fingers go with pinpoint
i dont personally have really quick fingers so i use analog which is also very good its just that pinpoint is very rewarding if u get it good -

A worthy adversary. Ive been playing lots of Ranked Online and am around 19-1. I will say a lot of people seem to be very beginner level but hey, id like to think my pitching is pretty lights out. I use whatever the default camera is for pitching and pinpoint. Pinpoint is a very nice touch, i enjoy it.
-
Outfield view / Pitch Meter. Looks like real life games on TV. The broadcast view is too far out for my liking.

Haha yeah definitely have run into a lot of newbs so far this year but I’ve been playing for 5+ years now so I’m consistently good. I also only play with the Phillies who aren’t a top team so my rankings jump a little faster due to XP. My big thing is taking balls. Everyone wants to throw across the plate instead of strikes. Be patient and wait for them to get frustrated and start to throw strikes lol
-
Haha yup, its very east to frustrate opponents. Thats interesting that you only use the Phillies. I only use the Twins, solely because of how much i love Kenta Maeda. Most my opponents are the Dodgers or Yankees so far.

Literally no one good plays online rated, just saying.

Offline DD games pulse and strike zone 1
Online: pinpoint or pulse depending on how bad I’m getting whooped lol
-
Strike zone 3 so I can pick off people leading off of 2B with an extra step. I get them every time!

That’s just a dumb statement to make. Plenty of good players do. Just because we choose not to blow our money for packs or play 10 hours a day to stay competitive in DD doesn’t mean we aren’t good. I only play online ranked because I choose to only play with the Phillies. I do the same in Madden with the Eagles and Flyers in NHL. Don’t be a try hard. Plus you’d probably get whooped by the top 10% of online ranked.

Last season when I played online ranked using exclusively the Mets, I stopped after I was 26-0. Literally no one good plays it.
Btw, I spend no money on packs, and I get home from work at 6pm. ~3 a day if I’m lucky?
Online ranked is cool until you realize how much better the other game modes are.

26-0 is nothing though, I’m 23-3 in the first 4 days of play. If you actually climb the leaderboards and get inside the top 100 you’ll get matched up with better competition maybe you wouldn’t think it’s so easy. Obviously people have their own “favorite” game modes and that’s fine, but to say anyone who’s good doesn’t play online ranked is still a dope comment. I don’t care to build some fantasy team or collect cards by doing challenges. I like playing head to head with my favorite team and the current mlb rosters. Doesn’t mean I’m not good because of that.
