Where were you watching his games? He’s got like almost 150 played already it’s insane. I’m only like 22-2, no way I’ll be able to keep up with the top dogs but hoping to stay in the top 100 this year.

Noticed some choppiness but I’ve definitely been playing fine as thousands of others have as well.

Just found out about the new bat shaped PCI today.

Played a few online ranked games with it and I’m actually digging it. Took a little to adjust to the skinniness of the PCI but makes me feel more like I’m swinging a bat and not just lining up circles.

Any thoughts by anyone else?

I don’t believe so. Probably because online games you can get matched up with players who don’t have next gen counsels and can’t access the create stadiums so they lock it.

Anyone else having issues trying to play Online Ranked games? I updated the game this morning but now every time I find a matchup in Online ranked it doesn’t even get to the lineup’s, it just closes out to the main start screen with “CHALLENGE FAILED - The game server closed your game session”. Annoying…

Just because it’s perfect perfect doesn’t mean it’s a guaranteed hit lol do you watch regular baseball at all? There’s a reason a .300 average is considered “great” lol

What this comes down to is people getting angry because they are losing/have lost when they feel they should win because of how their opponent plays.

• Some teams run the wing-t (Football)
• Some teams go empty and throw (Football)
• Live and die by the three (basketball)

I do not hear anyone complaining that throwing the ball 40 times "isn't football" or that shooting 3s isn't basketball. So I find it pretty rich to have a gamer come on a baseball video game forum and tell people how they should play and how one way of playing shouldn't be allowed in competition. When fact is that their preferred way of hitting (zone hitting) doesn't accurately simulate hitting a baseball either.

So quit your complaining. When the servers are back-up, login, and do what you do: Stair down Rizzo's crotch from your Strike Zone Camera and act like you're amazing because you're moving a curser around a square.

FYI - Before you start laying claim that I use directional, I am a zone hitter. I find the arrogance of PCI users hilarious. Get over yourselves.

Listen. One of the lead developers said the cpu aims.... so yes letting the cpu aim for you is easier than actually having to put the pci on the ball. Directional is the easier of the two esp on any level below hof.

Maybe change the difficulty to hof for all of ranked seasons instead of progressing as you go.

You guys want to use that type mechanism, then have at it..AND do it against each other not skill based players.

Also to those saying the top players ( say top 20 in online rated for instance ) "ALL use zone"...

The guys (& gals) who long pause and swap to tee ball hitting simply in essence because the opponent pitches good and they can't hit...OR when being behind they then get a man on base....you guessed it they pause and go to toddler tee ball and suddenly hit the game winning lick after striking out 15 times prior.
It's ridiculous to say the least and there also needs to be " a settings lock" to prevent these settings manipulative changes ,* except for " camera views".
I use mound visits every single time on defense and on offense " quick menu " at the plate ONLY as a way not for just for authenticity But foremost to show respect to the other player that I Am NOT one of the dime a dozen multitudes of "them" who will do anything to win games against faceless people who to top it off will give you NO prize !!

I only play online ranked and it’s been working fine for me. In face I find the L1 or R1 features to cause more issues so I do it manually lol

Side Note: I believe there SHOULD be a roster update Thursday or Friday. They usually do them once a week or once every 2 weeks. Wouldn’t be shocked if they held off for a little until other bugs and a game update is rolled out.

Because when the game released he was on the IL with an injury. When a players goes to the IL they remove them from the online roster so people can’t use them.

Not sure because I’ve used Meter pitching since the game pre-released and it hasn’t happened to me more than MAYBE 2-3 times total. Might be your connection (even if you think it’s not). Maybe try uninstalling the game and re-installing?
