Is it me or are the devs way off on some of their updates? Merrifield is still a diamond with a .799 ops and 115 ops+, Marte goes diamond with .845 ops and 126+, Ketel Marte is still diamond with .731 ops and 99 ops+ (below league average).... I can keep going.
Then you have Corey Seager with a .956 ops and 155 ops+, Tim Anderson with a .951 ops and 151 ops+, Paul Goldschmidt with a .995 ops and 174 ops+ and so on still at gold, because they have a formula. I would love to see Ruairi look at some stat lines for the entire league rather than just a few and make adjustments accordingly rather than just doing popular picks. @Kyle_SDS

I'm baffled Ryu hasn't moved. He's been excellent this year (10ks/9innings for example,) and has a nuts 3 year average, yet the won't touch him.
Because he is not a popular pick... I think some of their choices are completely subjective.

If you link your account then Drops are redeemed by watching any streamer playing MLB The Show. We can't give specifics, but we set them up to be pretty generous.
Been watching streamers all day and haven't received since 2pm

Here's the thing, they are subjective in their selections. Look at Lugo and Kenley, nearly the same stats, but Kenley has been more consistent through his career. The team with the best record in baseball only has 3 diamonds, but should clearly have 5 like the Yankees. Seager is a clear candidate but for some reason SDS doesn't get it, or they just don't care. Also, LA is not the only team getting the shaft... look at Tim Anderson, dude is on fire but can't even get a bump. @Victor_SDS

Honestly, the last two years have been so crazy for TA7, I've never seen a player improve so quickly as a player.
I think you're right. He has made improvements to his defense and his offense is great.

@Zugma said in Corey seager Again...:
The player upgrading system this year is pretty nonsensical. Guys are going up to diamond without any real statistical rationale one week (Whit Merrifield), and then when the player inevitably crashes the following week, they're back down to gold. Other players who have stunk all year (Javier Baez) refuse to be downgraded, and then players who have been excellent all year (and the prior year), like Nelson Cruz, Tim Anderson, etc, have been mostly ignored. Like, how is Luke Voit a diamond over Nelson Cruz? Both are worth nothing in the field or on the basepaths, but Cruz has a 195 wRC+, and .450 wOBA, whereas Voit is only at .389 wOBA and 149 wRC+. No reason for one to be diamond, and not the other
This is the truth. Popular players are protected by @SDS and players who are deserving are shafted. The players you pointed out: Cruz, Anderson, Seager, Kenley, as well as others are more deserving, but @SDS has to pander to popular players, and big market teams.
