they could’ve released these Fs cards first and better versions of the fotf now it would’ve made more sense. No reason why we should have players with no mlb experience comparable to the best cards in this game.

Appreciate the response this is all a lot of us are asking for open communication and insight.

Co-vid or not there exists too many apps and services to communicate nowadays and not a peep from SDS. I would love to know the excuse bc right now everyone has nothing but free time. Also they stated at the beginning of the year that communication would be improved this year. At the very least they have to answer these questions are we close to a fix in this years game? Will there be no more major patches and we have to wait until 21? Why did you decide to give the majority of pitchers a sinker this year?

I don’t plan on playing hour and half games watching myself be walked over and over and then when I don’t swing it’s 102 mph

there alot wrong with the game right now players not throwing strikes is not one of them. Learn to be patient not even the cpu throws only strikes.

The guy has 0 power and to top it off my opponent was early on it. I know it’s a broken record at this point crying about the game but f***k does that boil my blood. The kicker is of course i had some balls die at the track bc BaSeBaLl. I know nothing will come of this just had to vent this out.

it should be a 5 man rotation that gets locked for 5 games. after 5 you can change your rotation again the way its done now its as if we are playing game 7 of the WS every game

It’s the weird timing window in this years game. I’ve been a WS player every season since 16 but this year I feel like a noob again. Even in 16 where pitch speeds were fast or 19 on legend the speeds were fast but the timing was consistent so you could adjust. This year it feels like speeds aren’t as fast as 16 but the timing window is shorter.

if you want arcade baseball go play slugfest or mario baseball. MLB the show has always been a sim style game having batting averages of .400+ up and down the lineup along with 5+ era's is not actual baseball. Yes mistake pitches should be crushed, yes hitting should be fun & rewarding but the same way you find 6-5 games boring I along with alot of ppl find consist 15-13 games boring because it's not baseball the sport the game is trying to simulate.

loved the stat grind of 18??? you are a special kind of crazy sir, kidding aside a mix of 17 & 19 would be cool but nothing from 18 should ever be added to any game

No. Made a ton of posts about it. That patch really did something bad to pitching for some of us. I can't play RS at all and turn off the game early all the time. Every pitch is down the middle or outside the zone. Tried different inputs, connections and even a different controller.

18 was horrible mainly due to souvenirs and exchanges. At far as game play, 20 is the worst one for me by far. I basically throw HR derby every game.

I have never seen someone be so miserable and complain day in & day out. You have said the same thing for 3 years just play a different game.

I wish he has a 4 seamer everything moves so much that if he had a straight 4 seamer it would freeze a lot of guys

I have been waiting for an SS or awards version of cliff lee since last year. We always just get the same low diamond card from him and that’s it why is that? Maddux has been very fun to use and i know lee would be just as good come on SDS smoltz has 5 diamonds in this game.

Events at this point into the game should definitely be about prestiging you do realize it’s September there’s only 5 months left in the games cycle and there’s a [censored] ton of guys you can prestige. Also None of the 3 rewards are very good or would start in most teams so grinding for them is just about getting more cards for trout which will turn off a lot of players. In the 1st event the wait was long to get a game in imagine now.

It makes so much sense after reading the reports I remember watching in 17 & 18 and my yanks couldn’t get a ball past any hitter it was so mind boggling since we had never seen such dominance before and here it was in back to back years.

Not quick selling is huge in 19 you could get the collections done for around 500k with the proper plan. Now it’s easily going to be a million+ all year long

All I ask is please do not ignore this topic and just address if it'll be back or when itll be back. I understand DD is the big mode but that doesnt mean fans of other modes should suffer. Servers should be better now, there are more players today so I imagine the player base of OF would be bigger and lastly, I love DD but we need other things to do other than collecting cards and playing with god squads really miss the strategy that went into OF.

There is definitely an adjustment period this year once you reach hof but stick with it and you’ll start getting it.

I am just tired of people constantly complaining about the game mode not being in the game. They removed it years ago and gave reasons why they did remove it and at the time they said they have no plans on it returning in the future. The created league thing may be the best thing to keep you happy and I am happy about that.

Complaining about not having this game mode is just as annoying as people complaining about lineouts in this game. Everyone knows it's an issue don't need to repeat it everyday.

We are complaining bc ultimate team modes have effectively killed any other modes in sports games especially the show.

I love both OF & DD but as I get older I see myself wanting to play mostly OF because of the time commitment that DD requires. Whether it is grinding through RS, moments, missions and etc DD requires a lot of time no matter how good you are.

OF allows someone to keep playing but not have to log in every day to keep up with content while also giving ppl something new to do in 20 im entering my 5th year playing DD and its getting old the reason I keep going is because I love the sport and love the competition of RS.

No one is saying DD should not be the main focus for SDS lets be real its how they make most of there money but ignoring other aspects of the game is not good either. Look what happened to COD last year they took out the campaign and as per them not too many ppl played it yet there was an uproar and they had to bring it back for this year's game. There should be options like there are in other games.

You are trying to compare the only offline aspect of a COD game to a small portion of what is an online mode called Online Franchise....terrible comparison. Furthermore, 17 million copies sold in the first 8 days and this is while Fortnite was at its peak. Don't say not too many people played it. And this years game is made by a completely different dev team and company. Anyway, here are some stats for you as to why they dropped it. In 2017, the last year of OF, there was a total of 493,000 games played in OF. SDS sold 1.09million copies of MLB the Show 17. That means on average each user played less than half an OF game. Compared to the average 75 games of RS a user played. There was a total of 81,800,000 RS games played. Yet, OF put as much stress on the servers as DD did.

I pray that this custom league mode is similar to OF so you all can enjoy.

The comparison sticks because ACTIVISION the owner of COD regardless of the publisher wanted to concentrate on multiplayer and nix anything that could not be monetized. They had to revert back because of the backlash. Yes, the noise is much bigger coming from the COD community because of the number of players but the principle is the same gaming companies are doing away with anything that can not be monetized. Sports games are headed in the same direction as shooters.

What you fail to realize is everything you stated was when SDS was a smaller company. Also if DD had come out like OF with minimal effort put into it the player base would be just as small. OF never took off like DD bc of the of bugs that it had. My honest opinion is SDS is holding out because they fear if OF did come back in its full capacity DD would take a major hit that's why they will probably wait until the game is multiplatform.

The new custom league sounds nice but ill wait to see exactly what it is. If it turns out to be just a mode inside DD where you can only play 1 season then its still a bust.

Isn’t SDS’s motto play as you like? If someone enjoys HRD why should they be penalized for it? I never did that glitch but if that’s how someone wants to play then let them. It’s not like there not playing right?

In general I am excited we have some sort OF back and I think this is a 1st step for the mode itself which can expand in next years game.

I do have 1 critique there is no incentive to have 20+ team lgs with regular MLB teams. Since there’s no rebuild potential and FAs won’t be a thing there’s really no way to rebuild the lesser teams which was a great challenge in OF. Yes maybe you’ll find guys to come play with them but it’ll be an endless revolving door since players will get frustrated and quit.

Like I said I’m still excited and this will probably turn into my main mode. Might end up playing DD mainly to build a nice team for custom league itself. Curious to see other ppls opinions on this topic.
