I absolutely agree with this. However, I posted about a month ago in which I noticed parallels are updated in-game as well. Example: I was batting with jeter first inning - 201/201 paralleled. Next AB - 201/203.

My point being they have the ability to do it, but I’d assume the reason they don’t is because it would put much more load on the server. They should experiment a bit, I.e. choose 3 goals to track and watch throughout game. Take the live update for parallels out.

It’s not tracking for me either. But I feel as if it’s because weekend classic isn’t included. May have to wait for tomorrow night to go to regular ranked.

I know mini seasons is worth it for regular packs. And I’m talking the classic/regualr. Not threads or WBC. I’d rather risk my chance on classic then do WBC for 1500 quick sell diamonds. My question is, 2 weeks ago running through mini seasons, it almost felt like the packs were juiced. I did it twice last week, got nothing of value from them. Now I’m seeing on twitter that juiced packs may be back

Anyone get crazy pull from the classic mini seasons packs they got the past couple days?

Unfortunately, they won’t do it. There’s prob upwards of 50k worth of uniforms via the TA program. That equates to about 40 bucks worth of stubs! Not to mention if they do allow it, how it would most likely crash the market a bit. Very dumb decision by them to give us non-sell dupes, but I don’t think they thought it through much lol

The only categories he is in the top 3 that I saw was OBP and OPS.

There were only 3 cards given as Spotlights today. One went to a pitcher for a Complete game shutout. One went to a fielder for robbing 3 Home Runs in a game (which is rarer than a perfect game) and one went to Sal Stewart who hit .340 with 4 HRs.

Do think I Ben Rice has been fantastic so far? Yes. Do I think he was robbed of a Spotlight card? No. No more so than Jordan Walker or Drake Baldwin or any number of Pitchers off to good starts.

I get your point. But He was one of the most unlucky hitters last year and is hot to start off this year. You're right, he doesnt deserve a spotlight this week (compared to the others who had great games). But compound what hes doing over 4 weeks, he should get a spot in the monthly. should he get the Final-boss-like card for finishing the monthly? Maybe - although I think it'll be Yordan.. Should he be in the monthly program? Absolutely.

And I would make the exact same argument for Schlittler. Although i feel as if the egg hunt card ruined his chances of being included in this. great pitcher Top 5 in many stats from last july to now. but unfortunately, that egg hunt card is kinda BP online

Well. Biased or not - I think anyone watching baseball has to point out…. no Ben Rice?! Sure maybe he’ll get a monthly, but I’ll tell you what, most of the time with SDS, they always leave 2-3 really hot players out. Hoping this isn’t the case for Benjamin. One can make a case for Yordan as well. Although, I have higher hopes he’ll get a monthly because he’s more well known. Yall can say what you want, but I’ve been playing since 19. I know how they are (unfortunately).

I guess. I’ve been playing since ‘18. Not that long in retrospect, but there to see the best and the worst.

Franchise isn’t usually something I’ll grind that often, but some of the new things revolving around trades and such is definitely something that I’ll have to get used to.

Btw. Whatever they are doing is helping. Was able to get some good margins today for the first time in a year without being outbid every 4 seconds. Still some, but not nearly as many as there was on launch. Keep it going guys. DONT STOP (pause)

Can’t be a setting I’m missing but running my first playthrough this year and I can’t suggest trade a trade anymore to get suitors for a player?? Cmon. One step forward two steps back. I wanna know what teams would offer for a guy immediately like in the past. I get the trade block, but like why are we removing a useful feature guys. Come on.

Should be an easy signal as to what the problem is and how they are able to operate. Might be time to take the app offline until you can implement better controls to prevent abusive behavior. They are clearly smarter than the SDS devs, assuming SDS actually cares about a healthy free flowing market like has been claimed.

Only reason it coincides with the app being down is because the people who create them use emulators, - I’d assume more android - that access the app.

Anyone finish all of TA? I'm hoping theres an additional collection besides from the voucher you get for just completing half of them (30/60). Hopefully it'll be a standalone collection and not just a major one in which it combines WBC/new threads/TA, like we've seen in the past.

Hey SDS. What do you want us to do with dupe uniforms that YOU MAKE US PICK from TA packs? What is the point?? At least make it quick sellable and reward the user for grinding. Absolutely unreal.

Btw- yall patched a glitch yesterday that was live for 8 hours on the app regarding people making 800 stubs from quick selling dupes after purchasing one from the shop. Yet you’ve allowed/neglected to ban market bots… make it make sense.

Am I mad I can’t do it anymore? No.. does this make me mad because it adds onto the gross amount of neglect SDS has shown this year? YEAH

I’d hate to stop and 2 months later SDS drop something that requires all of them.

Wait they still haven’t fixed this from last night? Took me 2 and a half minutes from progress to TA to Rockies. No shot it’s still broken, right?!

It was about the fact you didn’t have to play DD when grinding TA. You got to experience the entire team doing it this way. TODAY, you’re right, it wouldn’t be worth because it’s no longer broken up by divisions. But still, the fact they took away the TA progress first, then silently removed it this year is extremely frustrating. I am a big DD player and I stopped playing when they did it last year. I usually play until October but I stopped in may last year.

It simply comes down to $$$ they didn’t want to spend the money to maintain the mode they didn’t profit off of. Which sucks for the smaller chunk of the fanbase that actually really enjoyed the division-by-division grind of TA they used to have.

The issue probably isn’t just “a simple stats program.” It’s the amount of live backend syncing tied to it. I finished a game with Jeter at P3, 104/104, then during the entire next game I watched it keep updating in real time to 104/107, 104/109, 104/114 (over 3 plate appearances). That tells me the game is constantly processing and refreshing progression data while an online game is already being played, instead of just logging it cleanly after the game.

That means the infrastructure is not only handling the actual ranked game traffic, matchmaking, and whatever netcode overhead already exists, but also constant stat writes, progression checks, mission tracking, PxP updates, UI refreshes, and who knows how many other live-service calls in parallel.

And that’s the bigger point: I very much doubt these companies have the backend capacity (or they NEGLECT to upgrade servers accordingly) to handle their real concurrent player load as well as people think they do. A million players constantly generating those updates is not nothing.

This wasn’t a huge issue last year. But between this, the disconnects, the market bots (huge f’kn problem), and the god awful release state of this game, it may be take the cake as the worst release ever. Which sucks bc I have fun with the game, but maybe it’s my ego saying I don’t want to play because of SDS’s incompetence.
