I have never bothered to play BR because of the fee. It most certainly is a deterrent to play.

@AstrosJake_PSN I've pulled the plug on Diamond Dynasty as of today. I'm quitting it cold turkey. I am moving to just Road to the Show and classic MLB seasons modes. The great thing about no longer being interested in Diamond Dynasty is I won't have to purchase the new games each year anymore. Cheaters and bots have made DD a no play.

The other option is to get rid of marketplace app and website outright. That's the option many in this community are starting to come around to. Madden did this. Make the marketplace only on the console would be only sure fire way to beat the bots.

@Ch-76-1908_PSN Only solution is to discontinue the community market companion app IMO. Make the community market available by console only. More inconvenient for sure, but I'll take that if it means a fairer market. Madden dropped their app a while ago (maybe they have it back again, not sure) because of this same issue.

@rubicante23_PSN They could just implement a limit to the number of entries allowed, but not charge stubs for it. Maybe have a 6 hour cool down to do another team?

@theBlindRhino_PSN I don't agree with instant permabans. Too many tech companies do that with no appeal process, and what happens is you end up catching innocent people in the net. That's exactly what has happened to me. I'm banned, and all I've done is flipping a few hundred silver cards for 30 stubs profit a pop. I have a 41K stub balance for pete's sake, and got banned?

I only play them on rookie setting to ensure a win, and will just accept the lower odds. Worst case, I don't get the card, but keep my treasures. I just keep playing until the card eventual falls my way on rookie. At least I accumulate some packs in the process.

I'm in Russia and can't buy stubs either. Heck, the game wasn't even for sale here and I had to drive down to Kazakhstan to buy a copy, and I have to use a VPN to connect to the freaking servers.

I preferred MLB the Show, but if they are going to treat me like a cheater for using the features they provide, then I'm going to bounce.

Stubs used to be for sale here too, and also 21 and earlier. I get it that Western Companies have left my region, so it's not just a Sony thing. I now have to use my Playstation pretending I have a Canadian account, and VPN to a Toronto server.

@Pergo_MLBTS I would imagine you are correct. If word ever got out about fake pack odds, that would open the game studio open to a lawsuit for damages equal to all packs purchased.

Nah, not dumb. I wish there was more options for baseball games out there. I am trying to move off of playing on consoles and instead play 99% of my games on PC. This game is pretty much the only reason my PS5 gets turned on. Wouldn't mind seeing Konami or EA even get into the baseball game market again.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL I barely win 10% of my games against the CPU on rookie level. I doubt I will ever be good enough to even bother playing a online match against someone. I just like to play on the couch, with my kids or friends that come over.

I hope this outage is a big sweep of the bots in the market. I am convinced about 70% of all marketplace transactions are bots. I am not buying this game in the future because of these bots. I will just play this version, in non Diamond Dynasty mode going forward for years to come.

@soggy-hampter_PSN Could easily fix the market by implementing cool down features, like only being able to place 1 bid per minute or something.

@LadySwampfox_XBL also, the current state of bots on the marketplace means you aren't making profit ahead of the bots anyway. Cooldown will only remove the bots, and legit bidders won't be affected. 1 bid per minute per card is what I meant too.

I say that cooldown should apply on the app only. No cooldown on console.

@samguenther1987_PSN The bots being allowed to operate, without being shut down is what makes this game the last purchase I make from SDS, and also the reason I have abandoned any of the Diamond Dynasty modes. I now just play offline modes only.

@Teak2112_MLBTS Typical liberal way. Report people who you don't agree with. Police state. Agree and comply or be banished. Glad to see the world is waking up and combating communists like you. Starmer is about to get ousted, and Kamala too. Why, because of cancel culture like this, and people getting tired of being silenced for having their own opinion. Quite honestly, it's people like you are are the true human filth in this world.

@rubicante23_PSN Same reasoning for me, though I have never won a online game as I am not very good against human competition.
