Opened 5 of the rewind packs between current even and last one. didn’t get goose. Got the rare round once but it was Will Clark, Strasburg and Belli. Easy stubs but nothing to spend it on.

I stand corrected. I am mis-remembering the circumstances from that game with another game. The game ended up 1-1 (Me winning) because he dashboarded from a walkoff hit or homerun. Thanks for calling me out on it. Wasnt intentionally fabricating a story to sound cool. Sorry.

I had that with tatis was hit like .430 with him and his average has dropped to .315

‘16 was my first year and I probably didn’t ever have access to the best cards in the game. I remember the rookie to prime missions being long af to grind, but diamonds were hard to come by and highly prized in those days.
‘17 was obviously Griffey, top spin swing and all.
‘18 was clearly bronze Phil Niekro, he was the only card that was even halfway effective at what he did in that terrible game, certainly hitters had little value, unless you enjoy popping up to shallow CF on good swings every AB.
‘19 Would be SS Chris Sale, always going to be one of my favourite cards to use and I’ll probably cry when he retires.
‘20. Probably Sale again. One of the few pitchers that isn’t a chore to use in another lacklustre year for pitching and gameplay in general.

Many cards I could give an honourable mention to, but the list would be too long, so I’ll just throw Ichiro out there, as he really is missed by me, even with the likes of Lofton and Juan Pierre who are pretty similar, the man himself was a true legend IRL and I’m glad I got to see him play the game in his prime.

Pretty much this. Basically Pearson with a better pitch selection, but worse control. .

Same, at this point I have at least 10 of every silver card in the game and countless more bronzes, I've been ready for awhile

you might start to get repetitive when using pitchers

I got 89 Trever Story from the live series diamond and Jake McGee from the guaranteed headliners. I was then dumb enough to buy all 5 of the 2-pack of headliners. And only got 1 gold and a Lucas Giolito. RIP

But I'd say move certain guys around if you dont care about alternating handiness and place your better hitters up top. Like if you hit better with Tatis instead of Jackie....Put Tatis 1, and Jackie 8 or 9 to add speed for when the top of the order comes up like below. Sometimes its better to put the guys you do well with in better spots rather than looking at attributes/overalls:

After a few attempts, I’ve reached the second to last boss, Chris Sale. His funky wind up on HOF scares me a bit. Is it worth skipping him? Update: I beat sale on my last out. Did decent against Pearson. I got it 20-20 with 5 outs left and the winning run at second. I didn’t score him and I am dead inside now

Sorry man, it’s a brutal feeling to fall short like that and know you have to start it all over....I failed first time against him but best with with 12 plus outs left second time.

For sure, it definitely hurts, but at least I was right there. I think if I had another lefty bat or two I could have done it. But congrats on getting it, hopefully my second run at Pearson is as successful as yours!

I had it beat, and had two stupid base running errors that killed me ( lost 20-19). Also had 3 perfect perfect fly outs in last 6 outs ( so those “perks” are useless )...
