Fun, memorable game! Tim with the Walk-Off! Crazy cool!!
Great nostalgia and I liked the Costner interview.
Think theyโd make this a yearly thing..?
That would be fun!
Was a great matchup!

Heh! I totally feel you, bro! This is the first year where I've played online fairly consistently. I feel like I am as good as you explained: can't hit squat, other dudes destroy me, I am always feeling like I need to avoid the mercy rule in RS, etc.
While I was enjoying trying to prestige some of my cards' stats while playing online, I quickly realized that I have no real skill online. It's like you said - any time I get a solid hit I feel it's just dumb luck. I'd say more than 50% of my online wins (RS & Events) have come from quits and disconnects. I'd say I've won about 10 RS games fair and square. Same goes for Events. I have no clue how to use the PCI. I've tried it, but can't stay with it long enough to get comfortable and go back to directional.
So what I do now is I go into every online game knowing I will lose - just make it a given. So if I do win, I feel great about it! Even if I'm up I still count on losing. But if I somehow pull off the win, it's very satisfying! When I have won big in rare occasions, I then realize how it feels to play against me! Lolz!
In any case, by having this "loser mentality," I've had tons of fun playing online! Unfortunately, that also means I rarely can prestige my cards that need the prestigin'. I only have 4 Prestiged cards. Workin' on getting Paxton prestiged but still got a-ways to go.
But hang in there! Losing sucks but have some fun with it and change up your expectations and see if that helps! Good luck, yo!
Bravo!! That was awesome! Congrats to him and all White Sox fans!
JV did this for the Stros a bit back and it feels good for your team! So fun to watch!
This is a solid matchup! Itโs gonna be super tough for my Stros to advance but Iโm hoping for a great series here!
And, well, no Yankees this year. On to the next...
Go Stros!
Yes, #ForTheH
GO STROS!!!!! Yasssss!!! Luis came out with the straight FILTH!! Mother of the gads, that was an amazing game!
Redemption time. On to the World Series. Absolutely beautiful. Go Stros.

The 8th Wonder of the World: The Astrodome.
FINALLY! After some finaglinโ and selling all duplicates (took FOREVER!), finally bought Trout and have now completed the 2017 LS collection. Only took 3 years!
Now to get the top 5 most expensive LS cards in 20 and get that Mantle!
Lolz! Henke was the 1st guy I was able to prestige! (Or maybe after I managed to prestige Roy O. - not sure..was neck-and-neck.) But heโs 1 of my only 4.
I'm with you, SekiroDiesAlot!!! I DESPISE Moments!! They're tedious, inconsistent, and a complete waste of time!! To be fair, I see why SDS utilizes them - you want to earn those cards/rewards, you gotta earn em!
Moments are true to form "work." I hate them because they take time away from Events, Conquests, etc. I wish they were as simple as you do one try, then no matter what - done! But that's never the case..Ever.
The worst one for me, so far, was in last year's game and it took me 3 hours to complete this McCutcheon Moment. Pure heck. So far, this year, it was that dang Corbin Burnes one that came out yesterday - get 10K's w/o a walk or hit. Needed 1 more K and we're in the 9 inning, and the game ends on a weak double play - gotta start over. Ugh...
They're a "Necessary Evil," I guess... But, regardless, overall, the game is super-fun!
FINALLY!!
Finished! Using up on Directional hitting worked! Picked solid players and better perks and now itโs done!
On to the nextโฆ
I completely agree about how the collecting aspect of MLBTS draws me to this game. I keep seeing how everyone complains about pitch speed this or fielding that, when it's all good to me and I will blindly accept whatever SDS puts out because, in the end, I do have tons of fun with this game - both playing the games (both on and offline) and collecting all the different players/items, etc.! I would say my only complaint would be to add an "Attempt Meter" for the Moments so I can catalog my insanity when trying certain ones. But that's minor. I think it's the best sports game out there!
Currently, I've been attempting to collect ALL purchasable cards in MLBTS19 and I am down to 13 left! They are all the guys that are, like, 200K - 900K (SS Gagne, SS Foxx, SS Carew, etc.) Part of my obsession lies in the fact that I'm OCD and have that "need" to complete the entire collection! I've got approx. 50 days to complete it before MLBTS20 comes out. Yes, of course, I've already pre-ordered. Can't wait!
I'm the type that has always collected stuff like Star Wars figures, sports cards, comics, etc. As I've aged, I now only collect The Punisher comics/items, but that's about it. I stopped collecting sports cards a good ways back, and what I had stored away got destroyed in 2017 when Hurricane Harvey hit. (And, yes, I will always cherish the Astros winning the WS that year. I stand by my team through the good times, as well as these current dark times. I am hoping the Astros use this hashtag this year: #Redemption. We'll see what happens this year... Go Stros.) All I have left is a Ricky Williams card that happened to survive thanks to the special case it was in. I still have all my old school Star Wars figures, but stopped collecting those back when the prequels came out. Used to collect DVDs & Blu-Rays and all that, but sold them all to reduce clutter as everything's pretty much streamed, nowadays.
I guess as we get further into this digital age, my collecting will become more digital, as well. Who knows, but I am definitely having fun with MLBTS and collecting digitally!

Sigh... Guess I should get used to all this. So be it.
Although I cannot defend my teamโs actions, I will forever stand by them. Hopefully this next chapter is one of them proving themselves after all this. Hopeful for redemption at some point.
Yes, itโs sad and disheartening, but stuff does happen and all we can do is learn from it. #Stros4Lyfe
Go Stros.
Unfortunately that vacates your guys' WS win as well. Maybe not officially but in the eyes of literally everyone else, nobody won the WS that year.
Sigh... Sadly that's the reality of it all. Alls I can do is accept it and just continue to support them in this very dark time. I'll still despise those dang Yank fans that always chant "F*** Altuve!," but I get it. So be it. I stand by my Stros. Can't defend them, but will support for life!
I learned a lot about him because of MLBTS. Really enjoyed watching (and using) his pitching style. Def one of the greats...

Got any Kenner stuff? Those go for a good amount of money. Even some of the prequel stuff has risen in value tremendously the last couple of years. That must have been such a bummer to lose everything in a Hurricane, man. It's an interesting point regarding collecting in the digital age. Personally, with everything becoming more digitized, I find myself embracing tangible collecting even more.
I hear ya! It's becoming harder and harder to collect the more tangible items as we become more and more engrossed in technology. All of my Star Wars stuff is the Kenner stuff! POTF, all that! I looooooooooove my Darth Vader with removable helmet! I would say that I still collect anything that deals with Han Solo In Carbonite! I loooooooooooove that figure and have so much stuff related to it! A rug, a beach towel, a coffee mug, the Lego set, etc. I'd say my next item to collect would be that Slave I Boba Fett Lego set that has the mini Han Solo in Carbonite that comes with it! I is a nerd.
This...did not age well. :โ/
Itโs now โGet well soon, Yordรกn...โ
Darn it.
"What If I Go" by Mura Masa in MLBTS18. I looooooooooove that song and so I Iistened to more Mura Masa because of it and am now a super fan of his! Makes great music!!
Guess Iโd be spewing just as much hate as alla yโall if all this stuff had happened to a different team - especially if it were the deplorable Yanks.
But I have no choice but to just sit back and take it, as my teamโs actions and behavior have warranted all of this. Yeah, it sucks...but so be it. I get it.
The only way to truly move on would be that the Stros this year would have to completely dominate and win the WS under the watchful, bloodshot eye of all the haters - which, I guess, is the rest of the world.
I stand by my team. Go Stros.
#ForTheH #Redemption
Stros, of course. Iโm a homer. Hoping they can close out their series against the Aโs today...
The collections and the pursuit of trying to gain all purchaseable cards - NMS style - helps satisfy my OCD tendencies. Plus, I actually liked sort of being "forced" to play online if I want to Prestige certain cards. I lose so many games but I'm used to it and I enjoy trying various/weird lineups.
One of my goals is to put a "Big Man" lineup together - dudes like Willians Astudillo, Jesus Aguilar, "Big Panda" Sandoval, that FA Matt Albers if he's still around, etc. But we need cards like Prince Fielder, Lance Berkman & Bartolo "Big Sexy" Colon to throw in the mix! Don't much like the Yanks, but give me a big 'ol CC Sabathia and I'd throw him in the mix! Carlos Lee!
I completely understand your frustration and hatred. It is completely warranted by my teamโs behavior and actions. I, too, was just as cocky and talked the same smack back to other teams, especially against the hated Yanks, when things were going well.
While I cannot defend the actions and behavior of my team, I will continue to stand with them and can only hope for #Redemption. No apology and all that would ever be good enough, no matter how sincere (or lack of sincerity) they would seem to others. I, too, would be smack talking if it were any other team, ESPECIALLY if it were the dang Yanks.
A true fan sticks by their team through thick and thin and this is a very dark time for Astros and their fan base, obviously. I will support them and just hope for a season where they will rise above the scrutiny. They would have to win the WS this coming season with the world watching them hating them and throwing verbal hatred and probably things like batteries and all that. Physical violence of any sort is not acceptable, but all the rest of it is warranted, and I get it. I, and most of the Astros fan base, will just have to sit back and take it.
So, yes, I stand by my Stros and the punishments have been fished out and we can only move on and hope for something positive in the end while the world watches with pure hatred and disgust. I get it. So be it.
With a heavy heart, Go Stros.
