I’m a dodger fan. So, I guess I have just as much of a right to be upset as anyone. But, it’s interesting to think how all of this could have happened.
Yes, they cheated. But, the bench coach and the veteran leader were the ones that were the heads of the operation. So, if you’re a younger player who has never played for another team you might just assume that every team is doing something like this. No one from upper management told you to stop. So, you figure this must be what all big league teams do. And, as a side note, maybe in a couple years we will find out that there were others that had systems in place like this.
I do want the players to be remorseful. And, once they got in the locker room I thought their statements were much better. And, yes, the owner is an idiot for what he said yesterday. But, I do have a little sympathy for the Astros players. Maybe I’m being naive, but I’m starting to think that they really didn’t think what they did was that bad until a month ago when the report came out.

I was ready to move passed everything until they put Crane in front of a mic. Then I got mad all over again, the whole "Our opinion is that this didn't impact the game" is ludicrous
Holy moly did he really say that ? What they did 100 percent impacted the game, knowing what pitch is coming is a massive advantage... As a matter of fact it totally takes away what advantage the pitcher has...
Yup he said that and then he tried to take it back. I hope the Astros lose 100 games this season. It wont happen but a guy can dream.

Bregman and Altuve 100% knew what they were doing was wrong and were more than happy to cooperate. Both should be banned for life.

I'm thinking theres going to be a lot of Astros getting beaned this season.
Oh, I hope so. There is nothing more manly than attacking someone with a potentially deadly weapon from sixty feet and six inches away.
So brave. So manly.

The real problem that their cheating created is that now any team that does exceptionally well will be accused of cheating. There are some real good teams out there that don't need to cheat like Yankees, Red Sox and Dodgers. When a team wins 100 plus games people are going to question them

If the commissioner is not gonna punish them, then somebody has to!

Yeah cause no one ever gets hit in the hip in baseball.

I gotta be honest I wanna see some carnage!! They should all be banned and they’re getting off Scott free. So I hope they get what’s comin to them!!
-
I hope going forward no other team signs those cheaters, let them play out their contracts with all the boos and all and just be forced to retire.
-
Guess I’d be spewing just as much hate as alla y’all if all this stuff had happened to a different team - especially if it were the deplorable Yanks.
But I have no choice but to just sit back and take it, as my team’s actions and behavior have warranted all of this. Yeah, it sucks...but so be it. I get it.
The only way to truly move on would be that the Stros this year would have to completely dominate and win the WS under the watchful, bloodshot eye of all the haters - which, I guess, is the rest of the world.
I stand by my team. Go Stros.

Astros and anyone that supports them are scum. Anyone that doesn't burn their Astros jersey deserve what they got coming to them. #Disgusting

Eh, that's a stretch. You gotta separate what the team did from the bulk of the fanbase. Supporting a particular team is something deeply personal that usually lasts a lifetime. If I were an Astros fan, I wouldn't burn my flashback Lance Berkman jersey just because you say I should. You can't vilify people for being lifelong Astros fans, that's dumb. Most Astros fans I've seen 100% understand the criticism, and many are saying the punishments need to go further.
Astros fans either need to find a new team to support or weather the storm (like knuckledragging comments such as this ^) with as much grace as possible.

Actualy that was very well said as a baseball fan period. Be angry at the players and team who cheated but don't take it out on the fans. It's is not their fault their team cheated.

You do realize that Ken Giles and Derek Fisher were on the 2017 Astros team, are you calling for the Jays to dump them?
Dave Hudgens (current Blue Jay's bench coach) was the 2017 Astros hitting coach, so he should be gone too right?
Otherwise Blue Jay fans are supporting cheaters right?
-
I am not a true Jays fan. They just happen to be the only team in Canada currently
