FINALLY!!

Finished! Using up on Directional hitting worked! Picked solid players and better perks and now it’s done!

On to the next…

I just really suck at Showdowns that bad.

I remember there was one earlier in the year that you had to do for a program and I do remember that one being pretty easy cuz I was like "Wow! I actually finished that in the first run!" But I can't remember which one it was...

This Finest one - Ugh! If I remember correctly, with Maddux, you start out 0-0 and no runners on base. I was trying to hit dingers but he killed me with that darn Sinker! I may have gotten one guy on base at one point, but it was erased by a double play.

Sigh... Can SDS lower the difficulty for me..? "Negative Rookie..?" Haha!

Well, this one is STILL giving me fits! Made it to Maddux the other day - then blew it. I gave up. But I'll try again later today. Still stuck at 78 points...

Just curious - Since Showdowns are essentially "Moments" based, do many of y'all hold up on Directional hitting, like for normal Moments when trying to hit dingers..? That def works for me on normal Moments, but I haven't tried that yet for this Showdown...

Were you able to complete this, @beatlesnews? I, too, am struggling mightily with this dang Showdown. Ugh… I barely can get past Phillips and Dontrelle has shut me down 9 times straight. I despise having to do this to advance the program cuz I’m officially stuck. Anyone have any feasible tips..? I’m #NMS4Lyfe, but I’d pay someone $5 to get this dang Showdown done for me. Clang clang!

Well, since I am bid number 2,360 for Randy, I may as well give this 250 RS innings thing a shot…

Gotta find a way to make it a “fun grind.” Like another person said, go in not caring about a loss or getting rocked - just get those innings and try and P-level some of my guys up. We’ll see… ‍️

@My fellow Astros fans = #BuryMeInTheH What an amazing season! 2 WS Championships! I love this team and organization so much! The parade was a BLAST!!! The haters can and will hate, but that's nothing new and this team showed the world that the Stros are absolutely #1! There were so many historic moments in the WS - just beautiful!

The Phillies were a great matchup and, no doubt, they put up a great, sweat-it-out kind of fight! The Philly fans are proud of their ability to be pieces of filth, but there are good ones out there (like my cuz and Uncle). Honestly, it was when the Philly fans verbally attacked Mattress Mack that the momentum REALLY took a swing! Even Mattress Mack admitted he underestimated the spew of filth that would come from their fans, but in awesome H-Town fashion, we took that energy and brought ANOTHER WS title to H-Town! So proud of our players! Great job, Dusty and the entire organization!

Let's do it all again next year!

Couple of questions regarding this new card. He’s registered as a RF, but what about his other abilities?
1.) How do I put him in as a Starting Pitcher..?
2.) If I wanted to use him as a Relief Pitcher, then can I just sub him in..?
3.) Will he be able to earn parallel points for any type of pitching..? (Or does he only get points as a RF, regardless if he pitches..?)

YES!!! Charlie F'n Morton. That was such an amazing moment. He wasn't gonna back down and he knew he was gonna close the f outta that game! I bought his WS shirt soon after. Wish he was still a Stro... Sigh...

Finest 99 Kirby Yates, yo!! Just Superfractored him to level 5 yesterday - 18/18, at the time. I've enjoyed using his card every year he's been available! Simple pitch selection, quick delivery, and super efficient! His splitter is probably the best in the game, imo. I have all the other 99 RP's, but Yates is my dude! I keep 98 Finest Sewald in my Bullpen and he'll be the next RP I'd Superfractor, but next up is the 99 MS Justin Verlandy-Man! Love that card!

For reference, I put in my order for him on 12/26/21 and it went through on 1/2/22. Haven't gotten to use him yet, but looking forward to it! Patience pays, tho!

Great topic! If I had any baseball skill, a Pitcher is what I would choose to be! Clemens is one of the best and - regardless of the issues - deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Loved his time as an Astro!

In regards to the game, I don't mind JV's windup and his 99 is fun to use. The MA Glasnow card was a huge surprise! His windup is quick and he's accurate! I took LS Luis Garcia (Astros) all the way to Level 5 Superfractor! His windup is fun to watch in real life, but getting him to Level 5 was a true grind! Most players using him haven't gone past Level 2!

Paul Sewald's Finest card has been the latest surprise! His windup is quick and he's been pretty accurate! I have all the 99 relievers, but I keep him in my lineup (he's a 98).

One card I thought I'd super-hate would be Walter Johnson's MS card, BUT, it turned out his windup goes way quicker than expected and he was pretty accurate. Was pleasantly surprised by this one.

One other card I really enjoyed using was Wade Miley's TN card. I got him to Level 5. His windup was quick and his card was efficient!

Snap! Good job on that Wagner! I got him for about the same either yesterday or the day before. Down to 5 expensive cards left!!!
