You’re wrong. I hadn’t played baseball since high school and joined an adult league at age 27. I had to relearn just about everything. Fielding came back relatively quickly.. hitting is a whole different story. If you haven’t even seen high school pitching, I doubt you even touch a single pitch. Have you even used a wood bat?

Watch the video, it doesn't look too fast, if I get 20 ABs I can just sit fastball and take a swing in the zone, that's probably 100 pitches so statistically I should connect with one and find a hole

I faced 90+ 1 time playing legion ball and I made a fool of myself and when I somehow hit the ball I jammed my hands so bad I had catchers thumb for a week only to ground out to second on a ball that maybe went 40mph off the bat. There’s no way you could get a hit. Yes you could make contact but with a wood bat you’re more likely than likely going to break the bat if you’ve never used one. Also the worst mlb player of all time is 10 times better than anyone who never made the show

Hey bud, if you’ve never stood in the batters box and actually heard or felt the buzz of a 95 mph fastball I would slow your roll. You’re not going to touch it. I played American Legion ball with Chris Carpenter and one other future major leaguer. Both of these guys were tossing 95 plus as was I. The guys we were playing couldn’t touch us. And they were the best players on their high school team. American Legion ball is a step up from high school and is comparable to low level college ball. If these guys were looking silly trying to hit us what do you honestly think you would be doing trying to hit that kind of velocity. It takes years of preparation and training to be able to step into the box with guys who can throw that hard and actually be successful let alone have the ability to even hit that kind of velocity.

Preach and that’s just fastballs what about that first pitch breaking ball after pumping 90+ for the next ab

You can hit the ball for sure if the pitcher throw you BP fastball at the same spot everytime but imagine now facing a pitcher you never saw in your life he throw you a 93 cutter on the wrist ( you are now scared ) high out fastball at 96 you swing in the miss but you got hope then a 93 cutter in again ( you [censored] on yourself ) then a delicious 84 change up low outside ( you swing in the miss ...pretty sure late ) then you walk home and yep your brain have been real hard !

Yeah I strike out... and then have 19 more ABs to adjust

The thing is an average pro player need +/- 400 at Bat to adjust to the bigs so .... Maybe you can but start practice like now

Thank you and with that you put the nail in the coffin. Baseball fans don’t realise how hard it is to hit look at last year when they removed video for batters and half the leagues avg dropped below the Mendoza line

At least we can agree baseball is one of the hardest sports to learn to succeed at.

Yeah this is just wrong, the worst pro hitter ever isn’t ten times better than me. Oftentimes, bad pitchers will go up there and take three pitches. I’m at least swinging every AB, increasing my chances of a hit, did you also have 20 ABs to adjust?

I’m going to be honest here I played competitive and travel baseball since tee ball and I swear on my heart I would never get a hit off of 90+. And the 10 times thing dude come on now that’s like you’re saying you’d be better than the worst kicker in the nfl who had only 1 field goal attempt cause you can kick a college PAT. Dude still had to beat out millions of people to get there makes no sense. It’s like saying Alabama would beat the jets or jags on a game sure Bama has a ton of talented players but the ones on the jets or jags are still way stronger and faster and just isn’t going to happen
