The Orioles traded Jorge Lopez. I woke up to this news. So annoyed right now, I swear the Orioles will trade away their stars as soon as they start to get a buzz. Sucks to be an Orioles fan. Still a die hard fan.

Lopez had a terrible July and BAL seems to have figured out how to make endless relievers, so probably a good move both ways. The return seems light but I'm sure it's a case where prospect lists haven't caught up to reality on those low-level guys.

Bautista will slide into the closer's role.

Well, I'm in All-Star to Div. Series purgatory, so maybe getting him is overkill?

Thinking of buying the card, but unsure if he's still viable. He's at 101 buy now currently.

If you're looking for a good right-handed pitcher that not many folks have seen so far this season, I highly recommend that 92 Tom Seaver. His repertoire of pitches are just about perfect and I don't know what it is -- but he's just fun to use. I've been getting into a nice rhythm with him lately.

I really have got to give SDS a lot of props, they've found a way to make the guys who don't throw all straight heat really fun and effective this year. In years past, I remember if a starter didn't throw 97mph and above -- nobody would even bother. That is no longer the case at all when you see that Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux and Cliff Lee are among the best starting pitchers in the game.
