99 Piazza, Schmidt and Grove
-
Bought all 8 of them on my phone as I’m not near a console and will just sort through it later. Excited about Grove and Piazza though.
-
i bought the 5 base for collection purposes.
average 10k-11k apiece compared to 30k for a pack... spent 55k, no brainer.
have to think though, once these packs are gone their gone so value could go up. -
Got 5, got all base. Not mad though. I love the Bryant card, he'll be on my bench. Good hitting stats, good D and 70s speed. Pretty legit. The only other one I'm keeping is Betances who makes my main squad in the BP currently. The other 3 are good cards too, just not interested in them.

Piazza's Signature card is a Dodgers one? Why not a Mets one?
I know it's stupid to wonder.
Maybe because Mike had a more prolific career in LA than in NY?
I'd say more in NY because of the 911 HR, the Clemens incident,, and the fact that he was the part time co-host to 'Eddie Trunk Rocks' from time to time. Amazing times as Mike knows some real obscure Rock!!
Better stats. Obscene stats in LA, but more eventful in NY. -
I bought the base cards off market, then decided to purchase one pack for the 30k got lucky and Got Piazza

I can't remember where I read this, but Lefty Grove was sold from his first team because the owner needed money to pay for a new outfield wall at his stadium. So Lefty Grove is the only Hall of Famer ever to be traded for a fence.
I suppose that is worse than being sold to fund the owners play.

Really wanted Piazza but I only had 33k. The rare round is insane and only good players in base is KB and maybe Lou Brock. Got Kris Bryant 11/11 parallel 1 and that was a grind for me.

I'm at work and I just bought 5 of the #29 HL packs and I can't find who the new headliner is. Clearly I didn't pull him, but I would feel better if I knew I was at least in the running for something worthwhile.
A FS marlins SP.

Piazza will allways be a Dodger to me.
-
Piazza will not be better than All-Star JT in The Show. JT is OP and the Piazza cards seem to always suck. Hopefully I am wrong this year.
-
Schmidt will continue to be unusable until they update his stance.
I've been calling for this since '15.
Schmidtty stood in the back corner of the box as far OFF the plate as any player in MLB history.
Closed stance to keep his front shoulder in. Then he drove into the ball as opposed to today's hitters who spin to win.
I would use this card every year, but it's unfortunately not usable. -

You are wrong. He's [censored] good. Buy him if you haven't pulled him.
