Because a lot of players are asking for its return. From 2014-2017 franchise players were paying a cheaper dollar to have that feature. Now we’re paying a higher dollar to not have that feature.

Your evidence actually proves the opposite of what you're arguing. People are willing to pay more for a game that doesn't include it.

They didn't take it out because they were lazy or wanted to upset a subset if their fans. I believe they took it out because the group of people who played it, no matter how devoted they were, was not enough to justify the resources to update or maintain it. The last time they told us numbers for each mode online Franchise was always dead last by a significant margin.

They could cap prices on cards even further, but then you get the situation like you currently have with the Bat Flips where you have hundreds (thousands?) of max orders sitting in line because of not enough supply.

IMHO, the best thing to do is let the market do it's thing and find it's own level.

It usually does that with other collection rewards like New Threads, Pipeline, etc. Price inflates a bit early but settles quickly.

Checked prices lately?
New Threads 1.0 prices are hovering between 50K and 120K for < 90+ OVRs.
Pipeline 1.0 are between 20-250K.
The 3 rare Egg Hunt cards (again, < 90+) are 100-220K.
