Even in real baseball, the worst teams in history will still win 25% of the time. It just happens.
Also...
Oddly enough, my first exposure to Uecker was Mr. Belvedere.
RIP to one of the game's greatest ambassadors.
McGreevy was in the Season Awards 2 Week 9 pack.
Hanigar was in the Season Awards 2 Week 10 pack.
I mean, there's a "chance?" that pack gets thrown in somewhere down the line hidden in a Conquest map or in one of the Forever programs, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
All 3 released in the Retro All-Star Game pack released 7/2

A Beta Is Essential
We need a beta for MLB The Show 25. No more radio silence, no more dropping the game with zero trailers and zero information like 24. A beta would:
- Prove that San Diego Studio is listening.
- Let us see the changes and improvements before committing our money.
- Show the community they care about making a better game, not just rehashing the same formula.
If you want a game out by Opening Day, the time for a Beta is long since past. There's no time to set one up, run it, analyze the results, and then put changes into practice.

You are assuming it will feature actual colleges/universities. My guess is the schools will feature fictious names. That avoids all the licensing issues.
And everyone will hate it because a game featuring real MLB teams and real MiLB teams cheaping out with fake ncaa teams will please no one.

They won't because they never played in the majors, that would be something for backyard baseball only
@super_squirrel13_PSN said in Card Series Wishlist:
I would love to see them put cards in from baseball movies. I.e. Major League, Bull Durham, The Natural, The Rookie, Sandlot, etc. I think that would be awesome!
Major League: Paramout Property
Bull Durham: MGM Property
Natural: Sony Property
Rookie: Disney property
Sandlot: Fox (now Disney) property
Roy Hobbs (and the Leagues of Their Own) are the only ones who have a chance to appear.
Make sure there's not another version of him already on the team, hidden on the bench or something.
Wait until 25?
@PriorFir4383355_XBL said in Interesting article about MLB The Show 25:
Bonds and Clemens won't be in this game because MLB will step in and say, "Hell no!" and this is one time when MLB would be absolutely correct.
Bonds has held a coaching position for the Marlins and a front-office position for the Giants. MLB did not step in and say "Hell No!" in either instance.
@PriorFir4383355_XBL said in Interesting article about MLB The Show 25:
Expanding the RTTS career path is nice. There are some rumors it may include college.
There is absolutely no way it'll include college. They don't have the licensing budget for both the schools and NIL.
@beatlesnews_PSN said in Interesting article about MLB The Show 25:
Face it: A lot of fans of this game want him in it.
Yeah and alot of people don't
Face it: None of it matters until BONDS wants to be in the game.

Sure, an 85 Austin Nola isnt going to make someone's god squad
IT WILL MINE!!!
This is one of the few things NBA2K does right. Yes, they can more easily license the older guys
The "older" NBA players are in their 40s and 50s. All the Russell/Oscar/Wilt era legends have been picked clean. MLB has twice as much history as the NBA and thus has a much longer list of "no longer with us" legends where getting rights is much more difficult and costly.

back in the Joe Mauer cover days I remember it being a nasty sweaty fight to get a 1-0 small ball win vs. the cpu.
Almost as if MLB as an entity has changed the rules to benefit the offense over the years and the video game based on MLB followed suit.
"If it's in the game, it's in the game!"
Assuming the 'no blackouts' thing is true (I'll believe it when I see it, which I won't because I'm not in the market), the dip in revenue from bringing broadcasts in-house puts the Reds in a permanent underclass where they won't be able to compete.
But Jake Fraley is cool...

I really hope the theme of the first whatever replaces seasons is Fresh Start as a proper series
They should aim to give every team at least 2 or 3 of these.

What? Are you serious? No interest in Millar? Did you watch the Netflix documentary on the '04 Sox?
Millar was pretty much the star of the whole thing. Maybe not the best player but a huge personality and his clubhouse presence was a major factor in their success.
I'd love a Millar card.
A bigger factor in their success...
Besides, I don't think TheShow rates on "personality" and "clubhouse presence".
