Sorry, I don't play online very much at all, but does dashboarding mean they go to dashboard and quit before the HR hits the ground, so you lose credit for the HR? Or does it mean they go to dashboard and just stay there forcing you to wait them out or quit on your own?
You had it correct with your former statement… they quit and you do not get credit for the HR
So in the case of the guy above me, if you are losing 4-3 and hit a 2 run HR to take the lead but the guy dashboard and quits, do you still get the win? I know you don't get the HR and 2 RBI but since he quit, you get the win right?
i did get the win...just more upset that people give up so easily
this guy quit on me
he scored 4 runs at the top of the second...i came back in the bottom half 4-3...and then hit a 2 run homer and he dashboarded
https://mlb21.theshow.com/games/441658379?username=Qwesty16
i didn't quit after 4 runs..why is the guy quitting
to be competitive i switched from directional to zone hitting and it's not as daunting as you think..
going from meter pitching to pinpoint pitching..now that's a different story lol
i finished off ranked seasons at 30-21...my 30th win i also hit 900 for WS..so got trout twice and sold one of them
put an order for trea turner but grinded out 25 wins in 3 days to get turned and cancelled my order for turner
i thought he was glitchy when i first used him..and i was doing well with him then he got rocked one game and i ended up facing him in another and i rocked him
he was way too easy to read

This take is like saying people who drive stick shifts unfairly get too much control of their cars.
I will drive a stick shift until the day I die.
Is that what we're talking about? I hope so, because I love a good manual transmission.
6 speed no less

After I made world series a couple months ago I stopped playing ranked for a while so I went down to all-star difficulty. I just played my first game on hall of fame since they updated the pci movement and WOW. That was the most painfully boring experience of my life. Literally both pitchers had perfect games through 9 innings before I got disconnected. It's impossible to get good pci placement cause it moves so much. I will do everything in my power to never play another game above all star if this is how the game plays at hall of Fame and up.
translation: I took time off for a while, and forgot how hard it is to get use to something challenging again, rather then saying I couldnt hit, i blamed the PCI update. It takes a while to use to HOF again, I had that same philosophy of not playing on anything above all star a month ago, but after a while it came back again. Some games on HOF are like that. Pitching is just really good this year. I wouldnt give up on HOF if I were you.
I played a bunch of games on HOF and some on legend before the update, and could hit decently. Not one of them felt like this one. I don't play a lot of ranked and there's a million things I'd rather do than try and get good at hitting with a slip-n-slide pci while every game goes into extras tied 0-0. What a boring experience.
I mean, isnt HOF/Legend suppose to be hard? You took a break, sometimes taking a break you lose a step. Plus the player pool later in the year is usaully people who know what they are doing, so games can be harder.
Yes but it shouldn't be "both pitchers throw perfect games" hard. Plus the update in which they unintentionally made hitting harder. Pitching is just way too OP this year imo. They need to make pitching harder as the difficulty goes up too, not just hitting
I get it, The tough thing is, the top players walk through HOF, so if they made HOF any easier it would be a massive complain fest from the top part of the community. Which are the ones that complain the absolute most about people having fun.
what's your rank record?
actually the PCI update did mess up with the sensitivity meaning it's much more difficult to hit on HOF and Legend
i'm batting like .240 this season..lol it's bad
i made WS and i'm 5 wins away from 30 wins to get the second WS award
and i just don't want to play since it was a grind and legend is horrible
You use that rotation in ranked and if so what do you play hof or legend?
lol legend against degrom is not fun
only got 2 hits ..lost 2-0 i had logan webb on the mound and his 2 runs were solo homers that were mispitched over the plate
so i complained about this the other day...
but now i've gone on a win streak from being 699 back to like 815 or something like that
5 wins in a row
and my average went from .210 to .243
but i think it's because these players were predictable

Quitting and dashboarding are different. Sometimes I'll quit just to give a dude a win and lower my own ranking. I will NEVER make WS -- objectively: don't have the time to git gud, don't have the reflexes at my age -- so total wins is how I have to roll in RS.
I aim for the 500's where people around my level are and I have about an equal chance to win or lose.
so do you quit before the homer lands and counts or after?
i like NHL where it keeps track of the DNF games....so essentially all the quits
@rosborn27_psn said in Is pinpoint THAT much better than meter?:
Still use Meter as well. Tried Pinpoint for a bit earlier this year but it just wasn’t fun for me. It’s like having to play a dumb mini-game every picture drawing pictures. Using Meter definitely causes me to hang the occasional pitch but it also helps me enjoy the game more so there’s that.
i've been playing the show since the beginning..meter is what i learned and what i'm use to...
i agree on like a mini game - just stupid - the movement doesn't even replicate a pitch

What does any of that actually mean?
It means that people this year are making the exact opposite argument that was made last year.
2020 - Pitching is too random. The ball does not go where I aimed even with perfect input
2021 - Pitching is not random enough. Good players can dot pitches all day long.Totally agree and I see a pattern here lol
3 weeks ago - I can't get my PCI to the most outside corners, fix it SDS
Now - You can move the PCI anywhere and opponents are hitting balls I throw outside of the zone, fix it SDSWrong. The pci movement hasn’t changed (prior to the recent patch) since at least 19. The entire “can’t get to the corners argument was a misguided post by a streamer and nothing more. Literally, no one said anything for years (and you could still hit those balls, just not get under them, which actually makes sense).
Also, the argument about pitching was more that the ball went down the middle even with perfect input, as opposed to going exactly where you aimed.
yea the new PCI is no fun...i've posted this a few times
