Most definitely, can’t play at all and all my stubs are 0

I think its fun, to take scrub teams to the WS BUT…….in 22’ it doesn’t work; I’m gettting “authentication” errors falsely, so it’s NOT worth playing anymore!

If you've been playing since 2018 (and the ultra-grinds that year contained), you know this by heart but it's a good refresher for everyone else.

The mission says "HR with Catchers", but they can play any position. When "out of position", they are poor defenders, but still great sluggers. So, my team had 8 catchers and a pitcher. More ABs with Cs, easier to knock some dingers.
And no, this is my first time playing The Show, since I'm on XBox.

Yeah, I did the same thing. I think he's pointing out some good secondary positions. Realmuto and Grandal can play 1st too. Basically as long as the primary position is the one required, they can play anywhere.

Yep, Schwarber, Grandal, Rutschman; the HR’s with a C got done pretty quickly for me. It was was the XBH mission that drove me nuts.

Finally getting around to the Molina program, I used Molina in a small park for “vs CPU” games; giving him 4 AB’s was easier than 1 AB during conquest. It may take a few games but I finally got the XBH’s from a C who is slow and has little power.

Lee Smith, Ryan Pressly, Chad Green, Blake Snell and Trevor Hoffman all P5.

My strategy is SP through 6, RP for 7th, RP for 8th, CP for the 9th.

By the time my closer is P5, one of the two relievers is almost P4, so it doesn’t take THAT long; the relievers simply DO take longer than SP’s.

I clear the map then Steal fans one at a time because, I’m paralleling players and doing player programs missions too; I do the strongholds the following day.

Spend those stubs. I had a cool 3 mil and then just started buying up cards I didn’t have. I figure I have to eventually spend them. Plus what am I truly waiting on? Griffey, and that’s pretty much it.

Exactly!! My golden rule: the ONLY purpose for stubs on this planet, is to obtain cards….use them.

I have both and Wagner has been far more productive for me. I audition closers as late inning set up men; Wagner has been better so, he’s my next closer-in-waiting after I P5 Hoffman.

To “avoid wasting XP”, doesn’t strike me as a viable option; you’d have to stop playing altogether. I’m going to focus on Player Programs however: I definitely stop daily exchanges and RTTS once I hit 650K!

The disadvantage to not starting Collections in the beginning of the year. I’m buying and selling him to help out.

Thanks. I'm definitely learning as I go. I've done pretty well though I still haven't learned the patience and stamina requirex to make stubs by flipping cards. There are Definitely some great cards that I'd like to add but I'm keeping pace pretty well. I need 2 prime cards to finish Kershaw and if there aren't any in the 7th inning I'll probably just over spend for Pee Wee Reese and the Todd-father.

I do appreciate all the tips. Next year I shall focus on playing the market more and online play. This year I just did the grind and earned everything I can through offline programs to learn DD.

This was my 2nd year, last year I didn’t figure out anything till August. Gameplay and the Market are almost two games in-itself; then you can break both down further to Market: Flipping and Roster Updates. And Gameplay: Online and Offline. It’s OUR job to not let it drive you nuts, but once you figure out the market, you can literally have EVERY card and be the worst player on the planet. That realization blew me away, lol! He's a common, and roster updates are going to end soon. Once roster updates are over, all LS commons will be quick sell within weeks.

I admit, I don’t understand the dynamics of supply and demand within MLBTS like you do; I wish I did. In any event, I do try to get these common gatekeepers and help out.

Your only option is to get in line, preferably NOW! Figuring the “why” of it all, isn’t going to help. You’ll be surprised how fast you get them, lots of people are getting those cards and dumping them to help you.

Keep the first one, sell the others; I pulled four last year.
