My favorite is the multi part events...it might take more wins, but I love it being spread out and giving more time to complete it. Outside of that, I prefer around a week. This year I haven't touched events (outside of Moonshot for a bit) because each time a new one drops I look at it and go "nope, not going to happen in three days." I just can't always lock myself down during the small windows this year. There may be times I can, but most I won't be able to. It feels to me like they are trying to find places to put cards they had in TA and daily moments last year and having tons of events seems to be one of the paths they are using.

I agree I was surprised by all the events being so short but I think they have so many cards and this is their way of rolling them out

You're probably right and I'm not sure I'd want to have to re-create that kind of "Topps Now" moment lol. I think all the relievers have been POTM in the past rather that Topps Now. As you said, it doesn't hurt his chances now that they can be homers! 🙂

Last year my mother was over for a few days. And one day I was doing the Mays collection as she came in and asked what I was doing.

I showed her and explained that if you collect all these cards, it will give you these two which you inturn collect for this one Willie Mays card.

She said “Oh that’s cool, but how do you get it?
Do they mail it to you?”

Hard to say. Ive been taking breaks that started out as a day and now Im taking off a full week. It doesnt matter what I do I cant hit. 8 hits in my last 5 games. I got no hit where I struck out 8 times. That means somehow I was able to put 19 balls in play with out getting a hit. THat the biggest thing that will keep me from playing

Actually, I'm awful at RS and I judge a successful game by whether or not I get hits vice Wins and Losses; i'm averaging 6 per game an STILL undisciplined at the plate online. On the other hand, I don't really play enough RS; I wish there was a noob-league where are pitches are in the zone, then move up to full-blown RS. I believe there are 3x the people who fit this category than people qualified for World Series. I say keep at it, since you're making contact.

I have played about 300 rs games so far this year. but I am bellow .500. Thats the only silver lining I can find is that you would think eventually your hits would come.

The Show goes on I got up to 100 wins 75 in the 1st and 25 in the 2nd

For the Future is bright I'll hit 50 tonight as i only need 2 more 1 st event was 15 wins 2nd will be 35.

I like how events are done this year the rewards every 5 wins up to say 75 is much more enjoyable. I can see the argument about better players hanging around longer because their are more rewards but at the same time I feel that caused them to make events shorter and bigger gaps under this new format events can last longer as rewards can be added and carried over as you can do live series events all year and carry over the wins

I like the new format a lot too. However, you're right it causes the top players to hang around longer and can lead to some frustrating matchmaking. The voucher system wasn't perfect last year but it felt more worth my time. Hopefully they see all this in their event metadata and make some tweaks to either extend the mini-events or add a third mini event in the future.

I dont mind the better players hanging around if it means better overall rewards then it's a price I'm willing to pay.

My main request going forward is make the team requires hard dont allow the best cards in every event. First Live series I really want it to be only Gold and Silver players with a really wonky team overall as so you have to make choices you can have just an all gold team plus dont allow commons so the bench and bullpen get sacrificed to get under the overall limit

This was the hardest fought 8 wins in my history of playing the show. If I'd been smart I would have spent this time playing Showdown instead...

Real question: Is the intent of events to make the rewards more exclusive and harder to achieve this year? You need more wins divided between fewer sub-events. Where we had sets of 3 last year we have pairs of 2 so far in 2020 with each requiring 35 wins. With last years voucher system a set of 3 events might require somewhere between 40-45 wins to unlock all the player card rewards only needing roughly 15 wins per mini-event.

There’s also more rewards in the events in general with all of the packs. I feel way more incentivized to grind event games knowing there’s a new reward awaiting me in a few games.

This is an improvement from last years voucher system. If you missed an event last year, you could never reach the top reward.

I like the new system too but it's kind of a double edged sword. Last year the top players would drop off after a few days leading the rest of us to slug it out but this year they keep on grinding and I get matched up with a WS flag every other game lol. Hopefully they figure out a few more tweaks to make it a better experience for everyone.
