What if the game let you allocate your earned runs as you saw fit towards the final boss or mini boss. I think this choice might alleviate some of the common complaints I see. I usually skip the 2nd mini boss because I don't think it's worth the risk but adding this option might make it worth the rewards and the additional runs in the final stretch. Just an idea but what are your thoughts?

Honestly they just need to adjust the stage 1s to meet the difficulty of stage 2. The mini bosses on stage 2 showdowns are easy

You know they have the 1st stage showdowns messed up when the final boss is so much easier than the 2nd boss. Just struggled to get past Sale in the AL East, then proceeded to demolish Cole with no problems.

NL East I'm skipping Scherzer at the second boss level every time. That man has some serious voodoo magic going or a baseball magnet in his pocket.

I skip the second boss in stage 1 no matter what. If you can get 5 runs prior to that 2nd boss, the final boss is no problem.

Problem with Stage 1 Showdowns is simple.

    2nd Mini Boss.

It's brutal to score 3 runs on All Star in 10 outs against Elite pitchers

Stage 1 showdowns would be so much better if they’d adjust the second mini boss to be 15 outs or just put it on veteran like every challenge before it is.

    That's what I always said.

It's either Veteran or 15 outs.

10 outs on All Star is crazy

I think enough time has passed this wouldn't be seen as unfair to those that completed these showdowns earlier. This would be a good fix.

That’s what I thought too, until 2 of the last 3 times in the AL Showdown my middle boss was Kluber on All-Star.

Personally I think they messed up when they rolled out TA2 and should have had the difficulties reversed.
The second stage should have been standard or difficult (depending how you look at TA1) since that’s the gatekeeper to the new more coveted cards, and it was for the most part the skilled players who would have already blown through TA1 at that point anyway...and instead they should have eased the difficulty in TA1. Make the showdowns that people have already suffered through dozens of times and are burnt out on easier. Lower it to Veteran, add a base runner and what not.
The way they did it makes little sense.

I’ve probably completed about 30 stage 1 showdowns and I wouldn’t be mad about them changing it. Annoyances like the second mini boss are the reason some people aren’t touching TA programs they have little to no progress in.

I believe Kluber because I’ve faced Newhouser, but Allstar? I’ve never seen anything above Veteran in showdown stage 2.

They could easily add a runner or runners on base to start mini boss Showdowns in stage 1 TA.

    Kluber is indeed on All-Star.

It’s still much easier since you have a runner on second and 15 outs though.
