If you are here to tell me to “not play the game” you can kiss my wrists… a lot of us paid good money for a defective product and we have a right to vocalize frustration .. no reason anyone should be at the point of debating giving up on a game that hasn’t even been out for three months…

Please feel free to add anything that you would deem helpful to the general player population.

The most noticeable for me is the staggering drop of frame rates when actually playing in game… it legitimately makes the game unbearable when you have 15-25fps on an advertised 60fps I understand this may be a porting issue but I feel that this should be a main priority as far as major updates

Love seeing this argument… in what way would not playing they game negate the fact that some people still payed almost 80 for a game that they no longer find enjoyable after only 2 months… imagine being in my boat and buying the game June 18th 2021 for that exact price and finding it unenjoyable after 2 day's( frame rate drops to and only runs at about 15- 25on current gen consoles during actual gameplay… in a game that’s based 80 percent on timing mind you..). People have the right to be upset and voice their opinions…

Well, then you have no excuse: 2 months of reviews, forums, social media, and you could have used game pass to try it for cheap.

Ha. Many games have problems upon launch. Seeing as this is the first port I’ve seen from a Sony game to a Microsoft console on such a major scale I’d expect there to be problems. And there have been numerous updates. I looked into the forums and it said that a latency patch was issued in either late April or early may.. so yes sir.. I indeed did the research before purchase. The research is what sold me entirely. Took a chance because I saw mixed reviews even in this forum the most recent thing I could find about the lag issues was from may. I assumed it was fixed before purchase …. But to tell a consumer “oh well” after presenting a legitimate complaint that A lot of people are facing is a horrible hill to die on…

Yep..and you would expect Taco Bell to give you a refund. And, they likely would, because that would be so-so much cheaper than the lawsuit you could throw at them for deceptive practice, fraud, and, basically, selling you some bad $hit..of the feline variety.

So, what you do to get some satisfaction is vent-VEnt- and VENT even more. It's more healthy than trying to hold it in.

Plus, maybe, SDS will have the integrity and social conscience to address some of our gripes. But they can't address them if they don't know about them. Well, I'm sure they know about them, but if the customers ain't complaining..they don't care.

I just want the [censored] to work man lol. I’m sure the devs know and are trying but I’m just at a loss..can’t get a refund cause it’s digital.. legit the first game I’ve bought since madden 20 came out.(aug 19’)…. Didn’t buy madden 21 and wasn’t planning on getting 22…. This was supposed to be the game I played after work for the next year at least and I’m at wits end after 2 days 🥲

How does this in anyway provide any get back for the people who paid for a defective product? Took a chance on it because I read mixed things about the performance but when I tell you I’m getting absolutely boned rn I mean it. I bought this game on june 18th and noticed it immediately. Went straight to YouTube and tried every troubleshooting step I could find (running on Xbox one S w a 4K hdr compatable Tv and console) still nothing. Read somewhere that an update dropped today (which supposedly did) so I decided to wait till then to complain to anyone.. (games been out 2 months and it’s Sony on a Microsoft platform so it has to be some kind of “translation” issue with porting a Sony game to a Microsoft console… right?) got the update. Went back in. Same [censored]. I decided to contact Microsoft for a refund and they told me that I couldn’t get one due to the fact that I played the game… imagine you buy a cellphone brand new from the store and see the screen is cracked so you go back and ask for a refund and they tell you no because you already opened the box…… I’m hoping the devs can actually solve this problem because as of now its one of the biggest “F-U” ever…. Legit spent over 60 dollars to throw half an inning

Funny thing is, Collin was on here answering questions about tv's and monitors. Not a peep about servers.

This is what bothers me the most. SDS employees frequent these forums and read complaints, yet refuse to acknowledge them. It's really disrespectful. I'm pretty sure most people would be fine with a simple "Yeah the dev team is aware it's a problem, and they're working on it. They just haven't found a solution yet."

I just ran into a free 10 pack bundle in the Microsoft store with a release date of 6/22/21. This may have been noticed already. Possibly a courtesy bundle due to this outage?

It's in the store search MLB bring up the full list and go to add one and it can be claimed there.

I bought the game from the store and it doesn’t run on my console lol… what’s the point in downloading a bundle pack for a game I legit cannot play? Seems rather redundant

That seems like a issue that is affect you and something I haven't heard of others mention before. That maybe a MS issue that you need to contact them about

Except for there is an issue. And it’s been published numerous times on various websites and YouTube vids… in this very forum at that. And I’ve already contacted MS… there’s no refund available as apparently you can’t refund a digital purchase after you played it (but how would I have known it didn’t work it I didn’t try to play it… great logic MS..)and reinstalling the purchase does nothing to fix the problem…. Do you think I would be spending my day off in a gaming forum complaining about an issue that doesn’t exist? Have you actually read the threads or even looked into the issue I’m speaking on before you said that?

Was this ever resolved or simply swept under the rug… hate to be the guy to get flagged for bumping posts but every post seems to be at least 2 months old. Am I missing something or has everyone who plays this on current gen simply given up?!

A fix for a 60 dollar game should not be to buy a 500 dollar console… good luck even finding one for less than 800 right now… terrible take my guy

I think you’re missing the point.. both cars still drive and are both capable of reaching speeds of 60. I’m not expecting 4k @120hz.. I’m simply asking for the game to do what it was advertised to…it’s literally un playable on a platform in which it was advertised would run to at least 60fps…do explain how someone is supposed to enjoy a game that drops to 15-20fps. in a game that’s entirely based on timing?!…im whining because the quality of the product I purchased completely contradicts what was advertised?! Horrible take…

you are assuming that the game runs the same on both systems when clearly that is not the case - the ps4 sounds like a jet engine is going to take off when you play MLB stadiums

the two systems are WORLDS APART and the fact that you cannot see that is laughable at best

ill take it a step further for you and say that i have no desire to play against people with old systems or [censored] internet

None of what you said has any merit…. I am well aware of the fact that the newer gen consoles are faster… but that seemingly negates the fact that the current gen is still capable of running the game to the advertised specs? While simultaneously running every other game I own at the same frame rate consistently? If it was solely a hardware issue then why does no other game I own do this? Another baseless statement with no actual substance in regards to the topic.. hell even 07 ran smoother than it does on Microsoft… I would have settled for a reskin of mlb 20 with newer rosters… it’s insane to think someone is “whining” for not being able to enjoy a game that they paid for
