I feel like I just did something that should reward me a jackpot or something…three overpriced packs, three buxtons..that might be the closest to hitting the lottery sds will let me get, granted an sds lottery so the results are hilarious as opposed to useful.

Didn’t the first MSC packs they released have multiple rounds??? Like did they really just charge players the same amount and reduce it to only one round now?? My Nick Martinez’s would like to file a formal complaint

Yeah this TA was easy to clear until you reached the 90% complete threshold for every team. Now it’s just hitting career HRs for every franchise and once that’s hit you only get a useless badge. For context, to clear every teams TA 100% you need to hit 12,427 HRs. Again, very little to no incentive.

It was a platoon for him and Luis Castillo once miller returned from injury this season. Luis and Bryce were used as a “dual” starter basically. Luis would start, pitch a couple innings and Bryce would relieve him. Once they traded him, Bryce was moved back to a SP.

Absolutely crushes too…cards like this, even though temp stats, makes me wish they had an online hr derby mode

@PapaRick68_XBL they aren’t terrible really. Go into them with little expectations, if you win you win and if you lose you lose. Just try to find some enjoyment in claiming the rewards. Every now and then some punk may message you and talk trash, but it’s rare and you can always turn incoming messages off on your console. I have played this event more than previous events for some reason despite getting rocked by guys with 1000 ranked and flawless BR badges. But I promise you the greatest feeling is when you get a steamer that is live and you watch the stream while you whoop them. Makes it soo much sweeter

I think some of the former diamonds will regain diamond status, like vlad jr. But my sneaky pick that I’m hoarding cards for just in case…Ernie clement, not at all a diamond player by stats this season, but as a cover boy I wouldn’t be surprised if sds gives him that +4 love

Wild how small he looked, but I really love that they have all of the legends walk out of the corn stalks.

@MarioMendoza935_XBL yo that’s awesome, I did this at the start of year too, but made a plus sign over the pitcher to help me learn release points on pitch types faster.

Analog pitching with all sounds muted. Only time I have turned my monitor speakers on was for the negro leagues storylines. Which I must say, Bob Kendrick is terrific.

Good rule of thumb, when you start a new mini season, always check that there is 7 or 28 games before you play the first game. If it’s less, then restart it immediately because it won’t progress. Also note that this is the case for every single iteration of mini seasons.

Hope they add Yan’s k dance in too. If they are gonna have soto’s obnoxious ball stare, this would be its ultimate rival.

The casual vs hardcore is an interesting debate. IMO it has very little to do with skill level. While higher skill can increase personal engagement, you can still fall into either category, regardless of skill.

Causal gamers pick up a game to kill time or briefly entertain themselves. They don't care about the result and when the itch to play has been scratched, they move on. Minimal investment, no commitment.

Hardcore gamers require investment and commitment. They put the time in, they look for outside resources to research (better hitting/pitching, roster building, etc.) and they strive for the results to be shown. Chasing set personal goals in a game would also fall under the hardcore umbrella (collecting everything, being highly ranked, specific performance thresholds). They also care a lot more, especially when they feel they are being cheated out of expected results.

In this case particularly, when a game or developer puts the player in a position where they feel as if both are literally working against them to achieve what they want to(bugs, paywalls, ridiculous matching, etc.), than the hardcore player base begins losing interest and moving on.

Meanwhile the casual gamers have already moved on because they couldn’t care less and just want to play something that when you press this button, this happens as expected. MLBTS certainly is not that.

@NWOStunna_PSN man I could not agree with this more. We have to start improving these odds at some point or offering more choice packs. I collected literally 100 random headliners packs from the HoF mini seasons. After opening them I pulled zero headliners and four sub 87 LS players.

I personally play for grind. For the most part, not including the golden “1000 rating” cards everything is earnable or buyable on the marketplace. I have spent very little money overall(Jackie robinson pack, lightning pack to start the year), but I don’t buy stubs. Now granted, I’m nearing 2000 total play hours and while a chunk of that is franchise and rtts, most of it is DD. I’ve had no issues grinding stubs to complete any of the master collections. TA is done for every team, I have completed every event/program/collection along the way since launch and overall I feel like my grind has been rewarded only because of the time I’ve invested.

With that being said, I’m pretty much burned out and play much less than I used too. But still have millions of stubs and every “player” card that can be collected. Sadly the completionist mindset in me won’t let me stop as long as more content is released.

I think a big part of completing everything isn’t just playing baseball games over and over also. If your goal is to collect everything and not spend money, than you have to be prepared to spend a lot of hours on the marketplace, buying and selling is a must do, especially if you don’t have the time to play a lot or aren’t a high ranked player.

This has only been my experience and I respect the fact that everyone plays differently.
