About to see Mason miller in everyone’s bullpen again, throwing 105 at all times

Hey I’m content with the app being down. Granted I have been furious about it for hours now, but my low ball bids for collection players have been hitting while the bots are dead.

Would be hilarious if it’s everyone EXCEPT Andrew Miller

@whitejw98_MLBTS I can say from what I read for the regulars of these forums, it’s less about screaming about issues in the game because we hate or even dislike it…A lot of these guys are virtually life long fans/players of the franchise and have had to endure something worse then the game just going away. Which is watching something you love deteriorate right before you. This is a great place to vent those frustrations with (for the most part) like minded individuals. With that being said we still play and hold on to hope that it will improve, despite the likelihood of that being slim to none.

Two god [censored] cards I posted and then got restricted..this is BS. Meanwhile there is 273 posted auctions for chase petty at 5200. Something has to change here.

Considering all the BS we threw at SDS(deservedly so) This is a refreshing step in the right direction. Regardless, if they did something or didn’t, there will be outrage from one side or the other. However, the idiotic argument of “other people cheated too!!” Is an absolute joke. This is the right decision simply to keep SOME integrity in game. I applaud SDS personally.

Alright now, let’s not condemn controller breaking There was a reason i bought the ps5 bundle with 4 controllers and MLB the show is the quintessential example of a controller breaking game. For what it’s worth I’ve only smashed one this season

The real point here is this is like the fourth or fifth post about yfk now. Stop posting about him, this how they generate traffic. Do childish [censored] and get reactions. The more we bring it up here the more it spreads. Leave these kids out and stop helping them gain viewers by saying “can’t believe he said this” or whatever. These forums are for the real fans imo. Forgot the trash people that couldn’t care less about the game and only play for views. I will always have a million times more respect for the regular posters here (that actually care about the state of the game) than the guys playing just for ad revenue, ready to drop the game the second it doesn’t generate a dollar.

This seems like a very easy choice…American baseball or Korean baseball…if I wanted to play with Korean leagues then I would have just imported those teams and players into a franchise on the show.

Like if you hate this game so much, then stop playing it and stop posting about how much you hate it. People just don’t care, SDS included. I hate the local grocery store near me so you know what I do…I don’t go there and shop elsewhere, but I don’t [censored] about it to everyone else relentlessly, again, because no one cares!!

I personally play for grind. For the most part, not including the golden “1000 rating” cards everything is earnable or buyable on the marketplace. I have spent very little money overall(Jackie robinson pack, lightning pack to start the year), but I don’t buy stubs. Now granted, I’m nearing 2000 total play hours and while a chunk of that is franchise and rtts, most of it is DD. I’ve had no issues grinding stubs to complete any of the master collections. TA is done for every team, I have completed every event/program/collection along the way since launch and overall I feel like my grind has been rewarded only because of the time I’ve invested.

With that being said, I’m pretty much burned out and play much less than I used too. But still have millions of stubs and every “player” card that can be collected. Sadly the completionist mindset in me won’t let me stop as long as more content is released.

I think a big part of completing everything isn’t just playing baseball games over and over also. If your goal is to collect everything and not spend money, than you have to be prepared to spend a lot of hours on the marketplace, buying and selling is a must do, especially if you don’t have the time to play a lot or aren’t a high ranked player.

This has only been my experience and I respect the fact that everyone plays differently.

The casual vs hardcore is an interesting debate. IMO it has very little to do with skill level. While higher skill can increase personal engagement, you can still fall into either category, regardless of skill.

Causal gamers pick up a game to kill time or briefly entertain themselves. They don't care about the result and when the itch to play has been scratched, they move on. Minimal investment, no commitment.

Hardcore gamers require investment and commitment. They put the time in, they look for outside resources to research (better hitting/pitching, roster building, etc.) and they strive for the results to be shown. Chasing set personal goals in a game would also fall under the hardcore umbrella (collecting everything, being highly ranked, specific performance thresholds). They also care a lot more, especially when they feel they are being cheated out of expected results.

In this case particularly, when a game or developer puts the player in a position where they feel as if both are literally working against them to achieve what they want to(bugs, paywalls, ridiculous matching, etc.), than the hardcore player base begins losing interest and moving on.

Meanwhile the casual gamers have already moved on because they couldn’t care less and just want to play something that when you press this button, this happens as expected. MLBTS certainly is not that.

I get a long pause lag when checking progress on programs, changing lineups(usually have to force close) and when exiting showdown or battle royale.

I’m primarily an offline player, yet I complete the online tasks to claim the extra packs from wheel spins too(200k/runs, 300 hits, etc.) I work from home so I can play and work simultaneously. 985 hours in and all I have to play for now is the total home runs for each team in TA. While I realize I’m far from the norm with the hours I’ve put in, there is always something to grind towards still, despite however tediously boring it is. With that being said, Yes the offline content is lacking severely. Between mini seasons and conquest(thank god they have one that rewards 20 packs endlessly now) it’s mostly a daily routine of log in and play the same two modes over and over again to 100% TA.

IMO when people talk about farming “efficiently” it’s grinding those TA missions in mini seasons and conquests that rack up the TA packs. I’ll never give SDS another dime and still have every set collected and plenty of stubs from AH flipping to keep things moving along.
