Did you make your team name, “please quit I’m one win from ruth?” I heard the CPU just gets frustrated and quits if you send a bunch of messages.
I usually start right where I think the pitch will be and then when the pitch goes there I jam it to the complete other side of the strike zone and make sure to swing late. I went about 7-20 in event games today. So, I hope that helps.
Whatever you do, please give game by game updates? You’re a beacon of hope for all of us who have never won four in a row.

Quit and then line it up so you play me. You can then just throw fastballs down the middle and I will still be late and drop the pci to one of the corners.
I think it’s how you define the word casual. Im a casual player, but have logged 100 hours. My goal is not to be an elite player. I just like to collect the cards, do the missions, and play against other people sometimes. I don’t play on a monitor, although I’ve thought about it. After three years of playing a lot, I still can’t hit an inside fastball when thrown from the same side as my batter. When you look at the ranking at the end of every season, this group far outnumbers the groups that make the higher levels.
From my perspective there is a wide skill gap. I can tell in the first inning if my game is going to be evenly matched or if I’m going to have to catch some breaks to win. I might be able to hang around on all star setting, but if I make it into the ds, it’s going to be a lot harder for me.
I don’t know if I’m trying make a case against your post. I guess I just want to define what a “casual” player is.
I have been collecting cards for today all year. In fact, getting this card was more important to me than getting mantle. But, I had a feeling that I wasn’t going to have enough today to get him today and I was right.
So, instead i collected all of my non sell cards and got 8 BIAH packs. Then, I sold every card that could eventually be gotten from a pack. So, I didn’t sell any event rewards or inning rewards. I didn’t sell any of the do cards either.
By the time I was done, I went from around 50k to over a million stubs. Then I pulled TROUT from one of the BIAH packs.
Anyone else go with this strategy?
Probably around 80. But I have a 100% winning percentage and am on a 1 game winning streak.
If my opponent hits a bomb or a clutch, legit home run I will replay their hr.
For love of the game.
I love this game and have no major complaints about content or gameplay. There’s always something to work on when I turn it on.
There should be a nameplate for this. Seriously. There seem to be nameplates for everything else.

Don’t do that. Do what I did and get trout as a post game reward for a veteran conquest game against the tigers.
I held out from 0 until 100 wins in the event without opening any packs. Along the way I prestiged snider and Helton, gained a bunch of xp, I did a few of the Jackie Robinson moments, I got a lot of affinity innings and mission, and I got all the event rewards. So, after all of that i got

I value those around 23k or so.

In the end that’s 100k worth of card that I got by just playing the event. So, I will take that for sure.
But I didn’t get one little flash of that diamond to build the suspense. I’m really bummed.
Note: I estimated 100 stubs per bronze pack and 200 stubs per silver pack. I think if I sold everything, those would be a little low for the average. Everything else I tried to get a good estimate based on the lowest buy now orders or based on what I actually sold the items for.
FYI...They added a bunch of stuff to the collections page to get BIAH packs. I got over 40 BIAH packs locking in cards I was never going to sell anyway.
Just got an 89 josh hader as my daily reward. I once got a diamond field, but never a player. Pretty cool.

A stooge eh? I don't know the guy, I just know he hates TSN, Reddit, OS... Calls it all toxic. Reddit is a given, thats just reddit doing what reddit does, but TSN? Hardly what I'd call toxic. Not on OS.
I’d agree with you with 90% of Reddit but IMO TSN is much worse than the show reddit with toxicity. The mods over on The show subreddit? They are the worst however
I feel like we have a pretty good community here.
I’ve been pretty active here for the last three years, and I don’t read or post anywhere else. I find this community to be great once you get past about may.
It’s rough when every post is arguments about whether the game is broken or not and whether or not Ramone twists his mustache on the way to the bank. But, that usually dies down by mid June and most people left either love the game or accept it for what it is.
At that point it’s a place to talk baseball, common gripes and accomplishments, and really use the forum for what I believe it’s intention is.

The most cost effecient and conceivable method is buying 262 cards at 64 ovr for 7 stubs or less. That is costing you around 2000, but you may lose your mind.
