Yeah loaded the live roster but when you start a franchise you have the option to load with injuries but then the roster is reflecting injuries like Giolito and Cole but then it is missing the new roster update so last update was when Dodgers and Padres played in Korea.
The update Friday didn’t fix the ace of the staff and one of the top rated on the Boston Red Sox, Garrett Crochet. This is not feasible with the actual player card having him with a healthy full beard and sporting a bald head, while the player in the game looks nothing like that and has hair and what looks to be like some sort of facial hair but it’s not him. I played with Crochet last year and it’s same exact build except this year he has different pitches. Franchise gets no love and I have to be good with that after all these years but please have the best players looking right. Props for fixing David Hamilton and Rafael Dever’s hair finally, but still so many other misses like nobody has looked at the players since last year.
Garrett Crochet- make him bald with full beard, should take two seconds literally?
Connor Wong- looks off at least give him longer beard
Wilyer Abreu- he chopped off his mullet like hair
Kristian Campbell- he is showing as fully editable CAP fix him please, his look is off, also Boog and PA refuse to say “Christian” Campbell after inputting first and last name, they say #28 or position he’s playing
Jarren Duran- something off his hair and facial hair too prominent it doesn’t look that severe
Bryan Bello- fix the hair it’s more Rafael Devers, he cut it last year (you keep up with Bichette and Guerrero Jr when they get short hair)
Trevor Story- give him more robust beard, feel like he hasn’t been updated for 3 years
No crazy asks here, only badly needed cosmetics that clearly haven’t been done like they should have. Other than Kristian Campbell, these players are well established players who should be updated already, it’s frustrating to have to create posts in hopes that SDS sees, and more importantly, cares to make these updates and actually puts the initiative into actually watching baseball a few times a week and you see something then update it. How many more weeks am I going to have to see Garrett Crochet in my franchise look like some random dude before someone at SDS that actually watches baseball and is familiar with The Show, sees it and says wow that’s bad?

Preach! Red Sox missing top prospects, I’m sure tons of others players on other teams are missing and there’s always some guy here saying “they’re not on 40 man roster”, well in Franchise we expect top prospects, would be great if guys playing two years in the league have a picture or have the respect of saying their name instead of “number 47” for Enmanuel Valdez, but hey not like most of us spend over $90 to purchase game early for updated rosters with no improvement to the mode we play and then not even have updated rosters.

Lmao the commentary sometimes, wish they would patch some new lines in a few times every few years.
So, first roster update today but apparently Red Sox don’t deserve to have their top five prospects included in the game. Trying to be patient these aren’t international free agents so why would the number one organizational player, who was in last year’s game, not be included immediately upon release. I posted the first day of early release and emailed support as well and got no response but they are quick to respond to monetary items like issues with Community Market. Not having these organizational cornerstones truly takes away from game and sorry I mostly only play Franchise mode but I’ve shelled out close to $1000 on every new edition of the show and continue to be thanked by no updates or meaningful additions to commentary, and now not even having the top prospects on my home team. Also previously mentioned Rafael Devers hair, he has a fade, why multiple years in a row does he have that long hair can the devs please fix these issues, I thought the point of this discussion board is to essentially debug and test the game so I would appreciate reciprocation in rosters being updated or else what was the point of me buying Show 24 I actually had Marcelo Mayer in 23’.

Exactly, Franchise you are harping on the DD and I said nothing of the sort. Plain and simple, Mayer was in the game last year and all the top prospects aforementioned need to be in the game just like the countless other “non 40 man” prospects, as I said and others have pointed out, there are tons of other players in the game that are not highly as rated and are not on 40 man rosters. Definitely not asking for miracles, and it’s not like these guys are Bill Belichick in Madden or the days of Jon Dowd aka Barry Bonds, they want to be in the game lol.

Oh ok, thought I was only one. I play franchise and saw his real short hair for one, then his [censored]-chin I was like oh [censored], they updated him, basically added since his game doppelgänger looked nothing like him or this version.
Haven’t used Mookie since his days with the Sox, but I wholeheartedly agree that the best players should be spot on, I mean he’s a top 10 player and every last thread or animation should be perfected. This is an annual release so it really should feel like time was put into improving upon an already amazing game, I just don’t understand how hair, eyes, and faces haven’t improved more robustly with next gen systems and anytime anyone dares to say it’s just a roster update gets chastised by others when everyone just wants attention-to-detail and know that their players are true to life representations rather than some cartoon characters.
Seriously almost a completely new game in that sense, where was this update the last 20 years?
I have to say, the bullpen logic is amazing. Never seen CPU bring in that many relievers if they weren’t getting shelled, it was always so annoying having a starter come in give it up and then bring in a relief guy and he carves you up and they leave him in for 4 innings even if he gassed.
People get so mad when you express your expectations from a $100 game annually, real player cards, updated appearance/name is said instead of #, and updated meaningful commentary not used in last 4 iterations. Read your other post Diesel and I concur, I want to see players not cartoon interpretations of them every time they come to bat. Don’t feel bad though I’m a Red Sox guy and Garrett Crochet is the ace but looks nothing like himself despite them having the very recent picture on his card of exactly how he looks.

With annual releases like this and Madden I always felt like there should be a reward program for returning players, but all we get is a pack of cards, how about special Deluxe Edition discount for 89.99 lol.

Looks like he’s going to break camp too so hopefully they fix that as it’s two names in database and hoping they get his look better, don’t even get me started on Garrett Crochet appearance.
