List of MISSING common last name audios?
-
I have a unique last name so I always used two other family names as last names, Anthony and Piston
I can see Piston(Pistun) not being available but HOW IS ANTHONY NOT A LAST NAME audio when its used by multiple players in the game??
-
I don’t know if it’s there now but Seager wasn’t there and there were 2 Seager’s playing pro baseball. There are no players with the last name Anthony on the other hand.

Roman Anthony on Red Sox and they definitely say his name.

Forgot about him. I guess him not making the majors yet kind of let him slip out of my mind.
Well they said the Seager brothers names when Seager wasn’t in the audio file.

Having that problem with Kristian Campbell right now. He worked fine last year when choosing “Christian” as first name, but for some reason this year he’s editable like CAP and even when you put name in they refuse and say #28 or position he’s playing. Looks like he’s going to break camp too so hopefully they fix that as it’s two names in database and hoping they get his look better, don’t even get me started on Garrett Crochet appearance.

Alexander isn't available as a last name, or Sandberg or Ripken as well.

The audio for Paris is not available as a last name when there is an Angels player with that name. Makes no sense. Also, Parris was aavailable in 2023 and before. It was removed in 24 and now 25.

I’m guessing there are 2 types of audio files in the database.
One would be for higher profile players who have their name recorded separately. Therefore you could have Babe Ruth, but not Babe and Ruth as separate first/surnames.
The other would be for everyone else where first and surnames are recorded separately and stitched together in the commentary.
Hence, if a player has his name recorded separately, you won’t be able to use either of his names in a different player.
My opinion is we are probably 2-3 years away from an AI commentary option where this issue would go away (but many names would be mispronounced)

I have played this game for the last 20 year, each year hoping my last name would be in there. Milner. Every year I go to play it, high hopes, only to be disappointed. Even with Hoby Milner in the bigs, still no Milner. I get Miller, or Minor. Well maybe in another 20 years I’ll get lucky.

Sometimes you can make it work if some of the name audios sound close to what you want. I named my pitcher Gerrit Pettitte and I could only find Garrett and Petit in the audio files. And I’m very happy with the result

Boog pronounces my last name "base hit to right field", which is incorrect.

That really bothered me last year. Every time Ryne Sandberg stepped to the plate for my team and they were still referring to him as "number 23". Legends names need to be in the game. I can make a guy in RTTS named Sir Dudenstein, but you cant say Ryne Sandberg?

I've been playing baseball games for 30 years, and I'm waiting for my name to be on the list.
My last name is HOMER, there's no more basic baseball term.
Thanks
