This is for ps5.

Around 2 weeks ago my pci started lagging in batting and also while pp pitching. It wasnt constant but it would chug every 15 seconds for about 4 or 5 seconds. So you can see how annoying it can be. Ive read other people also have this problem and i finally fixed my issue.

The obvious reason it lags is because youre wireless and the bluetooth connection gets interrupted. I had been playing this whole year with a wire so i didnt think it was the problem. I switched controllers, bought new controllers, bought new wires, tried everything EXCEPT the solution.

I guess in the past i had turned off the option that makes it so the wire is used as the communication method between the controller and ps5 when the wire is plugged in. I had that option set as use bluetooth. So even tho i was wired, it was still using my distorted bluetooth connection. This is found in settings > accessories > controllers > communication method. What a good feeling when you can solve that bullshat pci issue. Hopefully this helps even just 1 person.

You have to have the mindset that its no big deal if you lose or get embarrassed. Its a hard mindset to get into if its not organic. Cant just fake that you dont care. The better you are though the easier it will be to do it. Maybe practice hitting on legend in custom for hours until all star looks like rookie coming down the zone. And do events instead of ranked so you dont have a record to worry about. As someone who plays 2k and madden as well, the toxicity in mlb is almost nonexistent. In 2k if youre bad youre gonna get a message after the game telling you. Thats rare in mlb. This community is great and when you realize that it makes it more tolerable. I know the conundrum you deal with though about online anxiety. Ive dealt with it before but honestly just power into it and itll get better.

Now that ps5 has 120hz and vrr it runs identical to xbox, no? Ps4 is a different story

In theory, as long as you have 90+ fielding, you will have diamond fielding. You will see the diamond shield icon under your ballplayer while in game. However, this seems to be glitched in Diamond Dynasty for ballplayers.

Everyone jumped on sds for the 120hz issue. Give them credit they delivered and in a timely manner. Communication could always improve but give credit where its due. This couldve easily morphed into a month long plus hell of ps5 players buying xboxs

I also bought a G7. You get VRR with that beast. Keep it in PC mode since AV mode doesnt allow VRR. I also found dynamic hdr to be better than standard hdr. I get 4k 120hz with the g7. Its one of the cheapest of the expensive monitors that has a 2.1 hdmi port.

And make sure your firmware is 1005.2. It should be updated already but if its not you must update it. You can check by going to support > information and its displayed after the software version line in the box that pops up. Thats also how you can see if youre in 4k 120hz in a particular game.

Is this something I can all do by just having a ps5... I dont have a PC.. to do the updates if need be

You need to get the update firmware file onto a usb flash drive (usb 2.0 for this monitor, not 3.0, and it needs to be FAT32 format). You can get the 1005.2 update file from samsungs website. Once you dl it to a computer, unzip or extract it and then copy/move that file into an empty flash drive. Dont put the file in a folder, just put it right into the flash drive. Then once you have it on the drive, you insert it into the SERVICE usb port on the monitor, which is the one furthest away from the monitor. Then once thats inserted you go into monitors settings and select support > software update. It will proceed to search for the flash drive and if its a 2.0 usb drive it will automatically download the file. If its a 3.0 flash drive it will say it cant find the flash drive and to make sure its connected to the right port blah blah. I had to go out and buy a new flash drive for 4 bucks at walmart. Got a dinky 16gb sandisk 2.0, worked fine.

Like i said earlier tho, if you already have 1005.2 firmware version you dont have to update. For whatever reason the samsung websites latest firmware version to DL is 1004.0 and that one was replaced by the 1005.2 file in around january. Just check your monitors firmware version before you do any of this to make sure you even have to do it. Because my monitor came with 1005.2 already updated and i purchased it from bestbuy in person 3 days ago. Im not trusting a delivery driver to handle my package as carefully as it needs to be handled to ensure its not roughed up.

And as far as you not having a computer, i dont know how else youd be able to get the file onto a usb. I guess that was your original question and I kinda gave you a bunch of tertiary info but its needed nonetheless once you figure out your computer issue.

Wow this is way above my tech skill what ever happend to the plug and play days...

I dont live close to a city to go in person...my next question would be how would I check the firmware version on the monitor.... do I need a PC to do that also?... thanks for all the help much appreciated

I included that in my soliloquy. Go into your monitor dashboard thing and go to support > information. Itll be after the words software version. It should say 1005.2 if its up to date.

Yep memorial day weekend. Been like that for the last few years.

I give an incredible amount of credit and respect to anyone able to complete this collection without spending money. I finished the collection right when it released but i had been hoarding every card since i started the game in preparation for this. Ya, i definitely spent some coin to get it done early in the game cycle. Just had to grind an hour when this new program was released to get enough progress towards the new non sellable postseason cards in Flashback packs i believe - the only collection that required such cards. Think i had 9/12 postseason set completed prior to needing the new Flashback cards. Anyway, major props to anyone able to do this thru grinding alone. Brett is a monster and definitely worth it. Reminds me of last years Chipper in terms of stats and play, only better.
