This is the state of modern gaming, an obviously flawed product is released to the public, the public posts negative feedback, many others in the community mock the negative poster, so nobody fixes the game because enough people express satisfaction despite its objectively mediocre quality.

Yep. And you don’t really see it anywhere else. You ever see a restaurant review where someone is like I had the steak and it was overcooked. And it gets a ton of replies like, well maybe you just suck at eating steaks and maybe you should just never eat steak again.

It’s a completely different argument though lol you’re not going to eat a steak at this place every day. There’s no degree of difficulty to eating steak. Also gamers are the biggest societal group of whiners on this planet. If gamers actually gave productive feedback about a product rather than “THIS GAME SUCKS I’M QUITTING WAH” then things could change. 99% of feedback is given when a person loses too. That’s not helpful. No one was complaining when you could do the retro mode glitch or the double points on MTO even though those are two examples of a broken game. Because it benefits us. The second something doesn’t benefit us it’s so intolerable. This same dude isn’t posting an article when he’s winning and he clearly was cause he said he was ranked in the 800’s. I would bet some mula he made some late innings come backs and was hyped. Lol. If you’ve ever played a game in your life outside of the show you would know there is no perfect online experience. Every forum board is like this one. There’s flaws to everything. If you’re demanding a perfect product it’s best to just stop playing games because you’ll never be happy.

I don’t like the idea of them copying anything Madden does. But that’s just me. Training is such a scam.

Your a chump if you use left handed pitchers. It means you have no faith in your team to win. That’s the truth

What? Some of those common lefties are pretty good. I’d say if you’re worried about hitting left on left it means YOU have no faith in your team to win.

Sometimes this forum just cracks me up. “You’re a chump for adding lefties to your pen” - The Show Nation.

It’s more of a tell of the level of loser someone is that they care so much about an event win that they have to go against the spirit of the event at the expense of their opponent’s fun. If these event wins mean that much to you great, I’m just glad I have more in life to look forward to.

It doesn’t make any sense to act like you have a good life but then be on these boards bitter as hell about someone playing a video game the way they want to play it lol

  • I'm convinced...
  • Laaaaylay_PSNL Laaaaylay_PSN

I would say that when you see a dude with 100 losses you assume it’ll be an easy win and you don’t mix up your pitch selection as much because you assume they’re bad. There are World Series players with 100 losses. Myself Included. I played a World Series dude the other day who was 238-287 and I got my [censored] kicked because I thought he was terrible and I was throwing the basic high fastball and inside sinker. You could also be playing dudes in all star. That happens a lot even though you’re in the 800s.

Every forum board is like this one. There’s flaws to everything. If you’re demanding a perfect product it’s best to just stop playing games because you’ll never be happy.

lol. You are an enabler you let the game be mediocre. When us "gamers" give productive feedback we barely see any changes about the things we criticized in a positive manner. The reason you see people in 800's make these posts is because a lot of times they are the ones that experience these flaws in the gameplay the most, and most of the time you are going to get some of the best criticism in a post loss rant because of all the issues that went on in the game. To be fair in this case the OP there wasn't anything wrong with anything he said.

I’m not an enabler, I’m a realist. I’m 27 and I’ve played games for about 23 years and I can tell you there’s never been a perfect game experience online. So to expect one is unrealistic. Especially a yearly product for $60 lol c’mon man. What’s sad is how upset people get. It’s a mind set. If I go to a restaurant and the food isn’t the best I move on and just don’t eat there again. I don’t post a yelp review crying about how I’ll never go again just to have 10 other knuckle heads validate my opinion on the Internet. I’ve got better things to be mad about. Same goes for this game. I paid $60 knowing and having played the show for 10 years that fake BS was always gonna happen. They never promised us “this will never happen” or this is perfected. Lol. So why do so many people get on here and demand stuff like they did. If you’re unhappy with the show to the point you’re threatening to quit then

    1. You’re a grump lol 2) you have a ego factor that makes you think the world revolves around you 3) you can’t fathom the idea that maybe you lost because you just lost and it wasn’t because of a video game a million other people play out to screw you 4) you haven’t played previous installments of the show 5) you’re new to playing video games. When your contribution to making a game better is threatening to quit. Or just in life in general your go to move is to quit. I.e. your job, your relationship, anything honestly; then the only thing you’re enabling being an [censored] hat and not bettering anything. So miss me with the BS lol

Wow I must of hit a nerve.
Clearly you miss the big point. I think most people understand there is no perfect online experience, but the reason people get so made, and the point you aren't understanding is people get so upset and angry when they do everything in their power, and have done it perfectly, and the game takes away the win because of things that are in the game that are issues and could be easily fixed. Clearly you don't read yelp reviews because there are plenty of there that are complaining about something after one bad visit. We threat quitting, because a good number of players have also said that, and if they see a large number of people in the community are going to quit maybe it will make them change something. Also get off of the restaurant comparison the reason people still buy the game is because it is the only MLB baseball game on the market, and no one wants to play RBI baseball. For you to be talking about peoples egos is so funny and ironic. Most people have played previous installments of the show. You missed the entire point, and for being 27 you might want to go back to school and do some reading comprehension cause clearly you missed that.

No nerve hit lol talking with you and 90% of the people on here is like talking to a brick wall. You all think you know everything. If you do everything in your power to win and you still lose, guess what buddy? That’s life. Move on to the next one. It’s a video game. You really think you’re going to win every single RS game, BR game, Showdown, moment, etc just because you tried your little hardest? I don’t care if you do everything in your power. Sometimes you try as hard as you can and you still lose, sprinkle a little BS in there. How you respond to it is what separates weak people from the rest. You can start the grind over or you can sign onto the The Show Nation and cry and threaten to quit. Lol. You say it’s so easy to fix these things. Didn’t know it was so easy to be a game dev, please explain to me what SDS needs to do. I would love to hear it. You might get hired off your answer. I leave the game making up to them and I just play the final product. It’s people like you in the community that ruin the final product because you’re never satisfied. The game played really well on launch and because of how much crying there was they went and patched a good game into the ground.

  • HRD Player Prices
  • Laaaaylay_PSNL Laaaaylay_PSN

I bought all the packs and pulled 5 base rounds and then the players straight up after. Cost me 240k all in all so far and still need 3 guys tomorrow. So yeah for that price just do mantle.

  • God like CPU fielding
  • Laaaaylay_PSNL Laaaaylay_PSN

I see a lot of posts about godlike fielding in showdown.. but y’all realize it’s supposed to be like that? There are power up you get to pick each round you win along with players. I try to pick rattled whenever I get it. Because it actually affects cpu fielding. When they dive and you have rattled engaged they don’t catch the ball. First basemen don’t catch rockets off the bat. Just a helpful PSA for every time upset about fielding.

  • Laaaaylay_PSNL Laaaaylay_PSN

If you have the stubs to use you should grab him man. I spent about 300k first day sets were available to finish him because I’ve already completed mantle and I’m just looking to have fun now. My line up has a lot of the hrd guys now. Cal, Stanton, Griffey and Cano. Put him in left and his defense isn’t an issue. As far as hitting goes if you’re underneath anything and timed well it’s out of the park on all star. Hall of fame you’ve gotta be right on it and it’s gone. Moon shots. People sit on stubs too much and miss out on having fun spending currency that only lasts a year. You could wait on a 99 griffey but that could be what? 3 more months from now. Lol
