Who here would also like to see SDS implement some power up upgrades for the cards? Madden does it were you train your players and level them up with training points. Can be like RTS where you can upgrade certain stats from any player, more you put into the player the higher rating they go.

Would bring more variety where you can upgrade your favorite players to 99's etc. Also would be cool if they would let you choose the card art for your player. I.E. if you have a rookie Eddie Matthews and you can train him to a prime 99 Matthews after prime card is released etc etc. You would still have the option of buying the prime Matthews or you can choose to level him up if you don't get him in packs etc etc.

You would still have your high level cards but giving you an option to power up some regular guys who will never be 99's in the game. I mean SDS is already giving us 95+ future stars who are we to say that we can't have a 96+ overall Gary Sanchez?. Either way I can already tell next year something like this will be implemented. They are already experiencing with prestige and I can see them next year selling training packs to upgrade your players. What do you guys think?

I don’t like the idea of them copying anything Madden does. But that’s just me. Training is such a scam.

personally i wouldn't like that, certain guys aren't supposed to be 99s. I get that they gave us juiced up Future Stars but personally I like those cards and I also don't think those would have come out if the season was going on.

I am so not a fan of the juiced future stars cards. It’s ridiculous that probably 10 of the pitchers are more viable to use than a guy like Gerrit Cole. He gets rocked in ranked but a guy like Lodolo is a beast. Also, some would say Brandon Marsh is a better card to use than Trout. It’s like dude, you don’t even have 1 at bat in the majors yet. Relax lol

To each their own. I like seeing what they think these guys potential could be. Obviously some of these guys will burn out before the majors and some will be average but its fun to play with some of the guys you follow in the minors. Im curious what stage 3 will be, hopefully some sort of All Star flashback or something.

Why should a player be able to be upgraded to a 99, when they are completely undeserving of having it. Joe Blow should never outrate Mr. Baseball; there's already far too much of that going on. POTMs were bad enough; SDS put the over rating in a different atmosphere this year.

No, you can’t just power up a baseball card, you need to get a new one for an upgrade. Keep the card concept alive.

I like the future stars cards and the guessing of what they will be, but to me they shouldn't be better than a Trout or Cole, what are the odds that someone turns out to be that good? All these cards they have make almost all live cards useless except for collections. This might be exactly what they want though, if you want to complete collections you have to buy the live series cards even if you'll never use them, and then you'll buy the future stars, silver slugger, etc to actually use. I'm guessing the way it's set up is to increase stub buying - people spend it to complete a live series even though the card they're buying is never going to be used

Luckily for events and Daily missions I get to use live collection cards but most if not all of the golds would be useless otherwise unless grinding.

    please no
"training packs" ??? I'd rather just level up say an 85 OVR, through achievements in game. Reach a milestone say 100k's with a pitcher and have your OVR go up, 10 wins, 20 saves, etc, etc

If SDS did this I would stop playing DD just like I stopped playing Ultimate Team when they started doing this. Training is a total scam. For those that aren’t familiar you earn training by quick selling your cards - The better the card the more training you get. Then you apply the training to a base card - let’s say a 75 ovr Pat Mahomes. You can eventually get him up to a high 90. The problem is when they drop a new legend like say Michael Vick and you want him you are only given 1/2 the training back that you put into Mahomes. It is a total rip off & Not fun at all.

Nah... I'm a mut (Madden) guy that's been playing mut since before power ups started. It's just another way to suck up your coins and it doesn't even work how you say it does... In MUT there are no players at 99 4 months in like this game. I like the card collecting concept here and liked mut much more before power ups. This year mut introduced x-factors and abilities that imo ruined the H2H experience. You can buy abilities with training and they are great for less skilled players because they require no skill to use... There are ones like mossed... which is you basically throw it up 50+ yards to your receiver and he will still catch it in triple coverage. There are ones that guarantee broken tackles, guarantee picks. These are all part of mut power ups. I don't like any automatics in a competitive game... They are just bailouts for players without actual skill that can win them games that they have no business winning. MUT is a mess this year and hate to see this game going down that same road. This years Madden championship was won by a guy who stacked all his abilities into running game and he won the whole tournament without calling a single passing play and had a punter at QB... that's absolute [censored] imo. No thanks... I like to play the show as a break from the cheese and stress mut can cause.

This used to be a thing, when Griffey was introduced, we needed Rookie Griffey, exchange him for All Star > Veteran > To the 99 Griffey.. id like to see that again for some players..

Why do I need 3 Buster Poseys? Lol atleast collect all 3 for some Stubs or a Balling is a Habit Pack or Something.
