My guess: (Number of LS Diamonds)x(tier rankings)= odds to pull Trout. I would not buy a pack expecting to get him. While better odds than ripping standards, I'd still not expect to get him.
I don't even play online but they are prob trying to get you to quit.

I often wonder how the physics of the game work. I also often wonder if any of the developers have played baseball beyond tee ball. I have the same issue and then the cpu will hit a good good for a 322 foot homer. It's odd. I try not to get too po'd about any specific out or string of plays, because I'd probably never play again if I did..

The solution? Allow people to prestige a player on AND offline and mix/match. Even if you needed 1.5x the hits for example, many more would. The cards are unsellable so I don't understand their stance against it being an online only feature.
I think the issue stems from 18 where all cards could be acquired offline so their were alot of complaints that people were getting end game cards but not having to play online. So in SDS eyes they want to shy away from anything that resemble 18 because of that games perception is.
Oooh I was not into DD in 18 so I hadn't known about that. You're locking in expensive cards to even get them on the road to being prestiged, so I do wish they would allow for on and offline.

I do not play online, and when I admit that, people who do love to say I'm lame or whatever. But period point blank, you should be allowed to prestige a player offline, even if the particulars are more challenging. But then again if +3 on all stats allows someone to 'be able to hit' with that player, it's probably not worth it to begin with.
Agreed, I see it more as an accomplishment/achievement. I am not great at the game but losing out on stats like this just sucks... I rarely play Showdown because I will lose to a mini boss and need to start over. This is part of the mode, I get it, but I don't enjoy putting time into something to have it vanish. Totally understandable with Showdown, I choose not to play it. But RS the stats accumulate and I can see progress, blah blah blah, and then losing out on these stats sucks.
As someone mentioned before, I don't see why they can't code the "No Doubt HR" to accrue stats immediately. Probably has something to do with us not playing on servers and having a player "host" the game.
I would have refrained from quoting level of skill in the game as people assume offline players suck and stay offline for that reason. I have my reasons for staying offline, and the main reason is at the end of the day I have more fun playing offline.

I was stuck on the 12 TB in 3 G moment.. took 75 tries. Not joking. I would try it a bunch, do something else and come back to it. I don't know why that worked, but I think there is some truth to the element of a new environment. What turned out to be my last attempt, I hit a perfect/perfect for a HR, a double and single. Holy [censored]! I had TB in the 1st game! Then I hit two more doubles in the 2nd game. 1st pitch meatball I used contact just for giggles and smashed a single to end it. I also struggled (for some reason) with the final Andrew Dawson moment, but then when I did it I crushed it. Does the game secretly mess with us haha?!
