I know this is a dumb thing to be stuck on, but I can’t stand the fact that online players can easily steal 3rd base. I’d be fine with 99 speed guys having a high success rate at 2nd, but 3rd is a joke.

This is by far the worst year for this game. Anyone saying different are simply hell bent on disagreeing just to disagree.

Still cant believe that there is only one team affinity, 50% of the time there just isnt an event, the cheaters and bots have been swept under the rug, the first roster update was a joke (see cal), the list of blunders could continue for while. L year sds.

I uninstalled this game. I can’t stand the steals or the gameplay in general. Got my fill of facing Michael King for the year. This game does not deserve anyone’s time.

Don’t open packs! I just did ten bundles last night and best pull was Bobby Witt, who I sold for another bundle of trash.

Dude, I hate to be rude, but you are arguing for no reason.

People can get a perfect jump every time and they manipulate the base running and fielding mechanics if they get caught in a pitch out by using the freeze mechanic and going to 2nd if you throw behind the runner or going back to first if you throw down to second.

If you don’t have an issue with this at all, than I am speechless.

These opponents also take leads and NEVER get picked off. I take leads and just tap l2 or whatever to load a steal and I'll occasionally get picked up so I don't take leads since most my offense is hr anyways.

Is there some trick to taking leads and never getting picked off?

I noticed that the guys that are good at it have figured out how to get a perfect jump every time. I have never been into steals and don’t play RTTS or anything, so I have no idea what they are doing.

I might have to use Realmuto or Biz Mackey and do the fielding mod, but I doubt it will help much.

It is funny how SDS hasn’t dropped any catchers with defensive quirks yet.

The mechanics are broken. Some guys can steal every time. You can’t do more than pitch out to stop base running threats.

Small ball is one thing as opposed to being able to steal every base without a lead and just freeze with R2 on a pitch out lmao.

It’s not too uncommon to run into all speed lineups now. The guys bunt every at bat if you forget to set bunt defense.

They are able to steal every time on base….2nd or 3rd….without a lead.

If you pitchout they are able to retreat. If you throw to first behind the runner, they are able to go to 2nd.

WTF is this trash game? How did the fielding animations seem to get worse. Brings back memories of like MLB 2016 where hitting was way more difficult and people would try to squeeze out runs with small ball, but still would exploit animations. Are the people that work for SDS on drugs? They can not be intelligent. What is going to happen later in the year when you can probably field a full team of switch hitters with 99 speed and 115 plus power?

Glad you have been having success. I was at 990 and lost in extras off of an 11 pci just late homerun. Had the lead in the 9th, 10th and 11th along with a couple nice swings going three feet foul outside of the pole at the end.

Been on a bit of a slide since. Maybe next season if I keep playing this annoying game.

Between the foul balls and emphasis on steals this year…it is tough to enjoy the game. Throw in the cheaters as well.

Pretty sure I answered my own question when typing this out. They must be contact swinging with ambush. Needs to be more consequence for hacking at every pitch.

You get punished for playing real baseball taking balls and missing the pci on a ball in the zone by a kunt hair. Nice work SDS

Yeah, I get more so annoyed by the terrible mechanics and how good the game could be than losing. Also hate pitching with all the foul balls.

Not a complaint post, trying to learn the game.

For context, I am playing on legend in ranked seasons. So, some opponents have mastered the foul ball. They will foul off ten pitches out of play in a single at bat. How are they doing this?

I normal swing and usually am a little off on my pci placement for an easy out. These guys are putting swings on balls pretty far out of the zone, sometimes with good timing and sometimes poor timing.

They are doing something, because the same guys are able to almost take a full swing animation check swing and still hold up for a check swing ball. I don’t think they are full blown cheating or they would crush everything, but they are contact swinging or something. Perhaps using the ambush mechanics with contact swing?

Anyways, weird mechanics. On the fence between learning this [censored] or just quitting and hoping next years game isn’t [censored] AF like this.

I’d personally love to see SDS get rid of the [censored] PCI and shrink the timing windows. Make this game about pitch recognition and taking real at bats. Reward having a good eye and good timing, not aiming a stupid [censored] reticle on a screen. Make it real baseball.

Im also not too sure what the issue with Hader is either. Ive seen people say his 2 seamer away is glitched, and in my last game my opponent brought him in and was spamming 2 seamers up and away and I ended up hitting 3 homers and scoring 5 runs off him.

They are only glitched on legend. Forces the batter to contact swing.

It also isn’t a big deal to bring up Mike King and people taking advantage of every possible glitch in a VIDEO GAME. Yes, it certainly is not a big enough deal to essentially cheat on a video game for wins and virtual currency.
