Yeah, perfect team is 100% pay to win.

I think the best pitching input method is the one you are best with.

Personally, I switched off pinpoint last year after missing too many good releases right down the middle.

I went back to analog because I can control HOW I miss more.

Sorry guys, but there is ZERO chance the Texas Rangers are winning 102 games this year. If there was any doubt that the game is way off mark with its LS OVR ratings/simming, I rest my case.

With what pitching, exactly, are the Rangers supposed to do this? Eovaldi, Gray, Heaney? Dunning??

Sure they will score boatloads of runs, but 102 is not happening. Not a chance.

One wonders what “looking into it” means and how long it really takes to adjust the sliders or whatever.

Ten bucks says this is all about SDS finding out the player base’s line of acceptance for cpu balls.

I know we are all assuming this is a bug, but it kinda fits how the gameplay has been going in previous years. It wouldn’t surprise me if this was by design at all.

I go back to at least 14. I can say that, from my experience, I am not exaggerating.

The game has been moving in this direction for a few years now, imo. It has finally reached a point where a larger percentage of the player population is reacting negatively to it.

This may very well have been the point? What is the most balls the cpu can throw before the player base will not accept…

So is it a bug? Maybe.

It’s supposed to be easier to hit on lower difficulty, not harder.

“That’s baseball” is fine, but this is a video game. Babe Ruth did not throw 99mph fastballs and 96 mph sinkers (out of the pen or otherwise).

I think this topic keeps coming up because perfect perfects don’t really seem like a reward.

No matter what percentage of them wind up being hits, extra base or otherwise, perfect swings that make outs often seem to come against a pitcher with high confidence.

I’m sure we’ve all lost ranked games where we have a half dozen or so perfect swings and the opponent has none.

There needs to be a balance between “realistic” simulation and enjoyable, satisfying gameplay.

IMO, “that’s baseball” belongs to the former, not the latter.

This seems to get worse every year. The idea that we want to work the count vs cpu on veteran or AS is bizarre.

If any of you are still on the fence about this, I suggest playing a ranked game in 23 first. If you enjoy that, you probably will be happy with the new game. If not, stay away.

You were thinking, “maybe I was wrong, maybe the game will be different this year”?

It’s not the outfielders dropping fly balls, it’s the crazy delay reaction on hard hit balls through the holes. Have you not experienced the “diamond fielder overrunning the routine groundball” syndrome?
