Lose the ball in the sun
-
Here's an idea for a new feature. On bright sunny days, what if outfielders can lose the ball in the sun, just like in real life!!! It can be, as I said, on a bright sunny day at, for example, Dodger Stadium, or the white ceiling of Tropicana Field. How this would work is the ball cursor on the ground would disappear as your fielder loses the ball and you'd have to walk around your area of the field until you find the ball again and then the cursor would reappear!!! This could open the door for more animations of bobbled catches and dropped balls!!!

They don’t seem to be worried about realism anymore.
-
That would be crazy real but annoying. they should add a option to turn it off or on.
-
Just what everyone asked for! More bad outfield defense.
-
Man, that would infuriate almost everyone.

It would definitely, me included. And I'm all for it.

Really? I haven't had an outfielder drop a ball since MLB "Oh! and he botches it!" 21

@halfbutt ya dude. outfield fielding attributes were so wrong this year. players never drop the ball.

@Sarge1387
It’s not the outfielders dropping fly balls, it’s the crazy delay reaction on hard hit balls through the holes. Have you not experienced the “diamond fielder overrunning the routine groundball” syndrome?“MLB the show defense: Turning singles into triples since 2023”
-
that's probably something to add in franchise vs the cpu but not in online.
-
Do you own a business selling monitors? Because you'd sell a lot of monitors if this feature was put in.
-
SDS eliminated 'wind' for online play. Realism is not there thing. SDS can't even get player attributes remotely close. I think they are just money gougers with no real care for baseball.

Only every time I'm about to lock up a game vs the CPU...As someone else mentioned they can't even get the attributes to act correct. Whenever I'm batting against the Phillies, and I hit a screaming rapper, I watch Kyle Schwarber run that [censored] down like he was shot out of a cannon. But when I use him, batting or fielding...he runs at the same pace grass grows...and I'm being generous

I think the infielders get to way to many pop flies in short right/center/left field and the corner outfielders seem to catch a lot of fly balls that the center fielders should be getting to.
-
Defense and reaction attributes should only be considered for this and it shouldn't happen to gold and diamond fielders. I am tired of common and bronze outfielders not making mistakes.
They should try this offline modes first not H2H

They get to an insane amount of gappers they have no business getting to as well.
