The other two answers are:
A) ban flipping (various ways to do this and perfectly acceptable since flippers are simply exploiting an inefficient market)
B) greatly increase supply of all high diamonds
@Teak2112_MLBTS How is what he's posting nonsense? When you create an economy like they have, which is limited by SDS new caps, you have issues like this. Another good example? Look at the recently released Spotlights. You buy the packs you instantly lose 5k. The best cards in that pack are selling under pack prices.
The cards selling below pack prices is a function of the LS collection existing. Every piece of advice on the internet (and that advice is correct) is to sell everything and focus on live series (specifically the high diamonds). This is what drives down the prices of cards that should be “exciting”. The only way for SDS to fix the mess they created is to get rid of the LS collection at launch in future releases.
@sds_joek_psn its time to just pull the market from the app. That would solve 99% of the problems you all are seeing and lead to way better pricing for everyone else.
Flippers don’t pay their bills, they likely cost them money. Flippers drive up the prices of high diamonds beyond the point most customers would consider spending money on stubs. Best thing SDs could do is go back to the pre-app days: no market anywhere but in the game and only 25 orders at a time (total).
All they really need to do (and far simpler to code) is make a repeatable 5 packs for 15 online innings played mission in the program. Easy to do, roughly equivalent (when taking other online rewards into account), and provides an incentive to stay in games.
@xero4019_XBL to be fair, LS cards had a price cap of 500k until May of last year, so you really can’t comp them since 2025 had price controls in place.
Update: A workaround was discovered. While it’s not fixed, you can get past it by leaving the app open at the server exceptions screen, navigating to your PlayStation setting and turning your internet off and then back on.
This game runs about as well as my 74 Mustang did back in the 90s.
Still no change and no response to ticket. Literally unable to move past the daily screen on main account (can still see account fine on the app), but can get in on an alt. Makes no sense and only happened after maintenance @sds_joek_psn

@yankblan_PSN cleared cache, rebuilt database, still same result. I sent. Ticket, but this is really frustrating (since I’ve never had issues before and it’s only on the main account for some add reason
Oddly, I switched to my alt account and it works just fine. What the heck? How can one account not get past the daily login screen with unhandled server exceptions and the other gets in fine from the same exact setup.
Still constant reloading unhandled server exceptions on the daily log in rewards screen (nothing I can do to get past it. I deleted and reloaded the app. Reset the ps5. Reset my internet. I can get into online MLB 25 (and other games) just fine. And it was working fine before maintenance (I was literally playing up until 10 minutes before servers went down. @sds_joek_psn help please.
Yes. Restarted ps5 too. I just deleted and am reinstalling right now to see if that works.
Since maintenance ended (lots of people are in games (8am eastern) I have constant server exceptions at the daily log in screen (can’t get past). I really hope this isn’t a new issue, as I had no problem playing before maintenance (other than the problems everyone else had).
The lag in menus has literally never been this bad. I have a feeling it has to do with how all the menu options are effectively on the same “page” in the app. When incorporating this large of a change, one would have thought a stress test beta would have been in order.
In the future I think the dev tourney (live) should be played full release night from everyone’s home (ie not office LAN). That would be entertaining.
@MarioMendoza935_XBL while I would like my 2 bundles, I just want SDs to know there is another issue that needs to be looked at. No way I am the only one this happened to.
After previously having the game crash entering the championship, I restarted a WBC mini season run, won the championship against USA and received no bundle (it went to the championship screen and asked me to restart and everything). Might want to look into this @sds_joek_psn as these errors have cost me 2 bundles just today (no problems before).
@xero4019_XBL the only clear thing here is that you don’t have any understanding of macroeconomics.
@SDS_JoeK_PSN I just (literally 5 minutes ago) had the app freeze loading into the championship game. This is probably the first offline freeze loading into a mode I can remember in the years I have been playing. Sucks to waste the time (and it was against Great Britain who will probably never make the final again).
@xero4019_XBL Thank you for making my point. The low supply of LS high diamonds is precisely why SDS is limiting the inventory to 20. While people flip/invest in many different cards, ALL the stubs they make from those investments go directly to 10 or so cards, thus vastly inflating their price.
Sure, SDS can increase supply somewhat, but perhaps they want to limit how many people actually get those 99s early.
The fact is, investing (as it works in this game) is 100% inflationary and to say otherwise is to admit you do not understand basic economics.
