    Dang 'ol work got in the way today and I was secretly hoping that while I was out fixing people's plumbing problems I'd come home and be happy to see on this forum that things are up and running, but alas, another day in SDS limbo paradise.

    Cheers to everyone that is weathering this storm, perhaps once it's all over and done with we should start an online franchise with the each other, we can be the outcasts or the ditry dozen, band of brothers.

    Okay, so now I'm piecing this together. I see that when I'm just logged into my "The Show" account online, it shows all my stuff online - it's all there. Then, when I log in with my PSN or XBOX account it shows everything wiped out. So...I just need those to unlink and tie it all in with my The Show account.

    I feel like I came to this solution before though, lol!

    I am amazed with how many people tell me, twitch streamers tell me and their followers in comments section, "Oh yeah, this is easy just UNLINK your account and BOOM it's fixed"

    It's wild how for all those users it works like a charm but then there are a handful of us that UNLINK just isn't in the cards. How is that possible? How if we're playing the same game on the same consoles do we not all have the same interface?

    It's a mystery.

    On theshow.com under inventory it also shows my "open pack history" and all the cards I've collected so far. I don't see why it's not an option to reset or "start me over" and then award the cards I've earned?

    'ol Miguel gave me the same message this morning. I replied back and said it didn't work with what I was experiencing. Then, Joseph rides in on his horse and tells me to make sure I entered the PS5 Download Code from the steelbook into the redeem code section and insert the PS4 disc. Granted, this is after we've established that I purchased the game digitally and directly through the PSN STORE!!

    Are you holding your controller at the correct angle when you boot the digital (steelbook version of the PS4 version on PS5)?

    Meanwhile back at the ranch.....PS4 version works just fine???????????? Please send prayers.

    Their site and system is all sorts of messed up, when I log into theshow.com with my MLB login it shows ONLY my MLB is connected and "current session" for both Xbox an PSN it shows they are NOT CONNECTED.

    If I login with either my XBOX ID or my PSN ID those both show XBOX and PSN connected but MLB is NOT CONNECTED.

    It's like a "the chicken and the egg riddle", which comes first?

    Hello,
    Thank you for your message. Lets walk through some information and troubleshooting steps regarding Linking/Unlinking your Xbox and PlayStation data with your The Show Online account. The way the TheShow.com account system works, is you can login individually to each account, PlayStation or Xbox, separately, alternatively, if you want to Link/Unlink these accounts to share progression, you have to use a The Show Online account to do so. To Link/Unlink and manage your The Show Online account, please make sure the account marked (Current Session) under Linked Accounts on your Dashboard is NOT Xbox or PlayStation.
    You can only Unlink your Xbox and PlayStation accounts using your The Show Online account. To Link/Unlink accounts Make sure you are logged in under your The Show Online account labelled (Current Session) under Linked Accounts on your Dashboard.
    Please note that Stubs you purchase are tied to their respective platform Xbox or PlayStation, however, earned Stubs are universal. You can also Link/Unlink your account to your The Show Online account in-game!
    Once you have have signed into the game, you can Link up with a PSN or XBN account if you already have one. This also allows your account to sync with previous versions of MLB The Show that were available on PlayStation.
    Select the Link Account option from the Main Menu
    A URL and code will be displayed
    Visit the URL on another device and enter the code
    Enter or Create a The Show Online email and password - this will Link your XBN or PSN account to your The Show Online
    On the Account Link confirmation screen there is an option to Link to an XBN or PSN account
    Select this and sign in with the correct XBN or PSN credentials
    There is no requirement to create an account while playing the game, only to sync with previous history or stats if the customer already has an existing The Show Online and/or XBN or PSN account
    You can Unlink your account via the Ballplayer Hub in-game at any time
    We understand this is a lot of information at once. If any of this becomes unclear to you please do not hesitate to respond with your The Show Online, XBN, and PSN account IDs and any further information you may find helpful.

    I tried it and when I do it gives me a warning on their website that I will lose all my data, etc and it will reset my account. I figure F' it as I just want to play. So I clicked OK. Then it gives me an error, "error trying to link platforms exclusively" so it doesn't work either.

    Seems like another option would be to see their server time stamps and out data, stubs, collection books etc. Then have us erase/unlink/clear start over whatever you want to call it and have us start from scratch. Then award us back the items we've earned or in case of pre-order bonus, give them back.

    I see it could be an issue deleting everyone's accounts and starting over as those that paid for the FULL BLOWN expensive version would feel cheatd that every gets those rewards too, I don't want anything I didn't pay for, but I'd rather not loose the things I did and also the progress I've made.

    I bought the middle of the road pre-order PS5 version (if that matters).

    On PS4 all my collection and items are showing up, currently it shows I have around 40,000 stubs from playing, would be nice to not loose those stubs along with the items in my collection book.

    I truly believe is a PS5 and XboxX version of the game issue. PS4 version on my PS4 and PS5 seems to be working just fine. To be honest, I can't see a difference either in PS5 vs PS4 version (graphics wise) and I could give a darn about the create a stadium feature which is only on PS5 and XboxX editions. I'd rather have the game functioning properly on PS5 and XboxX than be able to create a stadium.

    I also feel really OLD, each release there are some bumps in the road and I ALWAYS say I'm not going to buy it at release, then my brain stops working and I pre-order. PS5 was a blast, game was working like a champ for me from Thursday-Monday, then the wheels fell off.

    It's now 1 week later and I'm back to "old-next gen, PS4-pro". 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

    No, it didn't do anything. It was button that didn't work. Nothing changed and I'm still linked.

    On theshow.com today my accounts show linked to MLB but not to Xbox or PSN anymore.

    I tried linking them on the theshow website and it gives me the same warning that this will erase any current progress and reset my account. What about my pre-order items?

    Deleted and reinstalled PS5 version, still no data.

    Ok I downloaded the PS4 version of the game on the PS5 and everything is back! Guess its a PS5 - XBOX SX problem.
    You can try that for now untill its fully fixed.

    Have you tried deleting the PS5 version and reinstalling it?

    Did you download de the ps4 version on your PS5? or installed it on the PS4 console?
    And you mean it worked on the PS4 and got fixed on the PS5? (or just working on old gen).

    Downloaded the PS4 version onto my PS4, Everything is there. Went back to PS5 still missing everything, will try deleting PS5 version on PS5 and installing PS4 version on PS5.

    It's definitely something w/ the PS5/XBOXX versions

    Really? What made the difference? I get that same select data option (local or servers) however, my items do not reappear.

    Did they fix your accounts?

    I'm going to turn on my PS5 and look, I didn't get a response from SDS so I don't know if they did something or not.

    I am looking on my PS4 now and sure enough everything is there, all my collections I completed, all my cards I put in collections, etc...if they could just make this work on PS5 and XBOX-X I'd be a happy camper.

    I'm nervous to turn on PS4 and go on PS5, don't want to mess things up! I just want to play.

    so here is what I don't understand???

    PS5 and Xbox not working, both are basically set to new account. I started playing MLB 21 on April 16 on PS5, linked my account and played until Monday on PS5 only. Then installed and played '21 Monday evening on Xbox X. Tried to link account, would never LINK.

    Next day, Tuesday right again to link on Xbox, couldn't ever get LINK screen to go away like it did on PS5 Friday. Switched back to PS5 and that's when all my stubs, DD progress, items etc were all gone and I could not UNLINK anything.

    Fired up PS4 this afternoon and installed '21, ALL my data, DD, items, Stubs EVERYTHING is there???? When I go into profile on my PS4 is still show's LINK as in, it's not linked.

    I have NO CLUE how ANY of this works and doesn't. I have 1 PSN: gigemaggs99, so I have no clue how it's working on PS4 and not PS5.

    I hope this helps SDS find something out so we can get PS5 and XboxX working.

    For what it's worth, I figured I'd try on my PS4 since I bought the PS5 version, I guess we get PS4 also. The first time I load up PS4 it gives me this message:

    BALL PLAYER CONFLICT, your local ball player data is different than what's on the server. Choose which save data you to keep.

    Then is shows my ball player I created on PS5 he's a level 59 and has a different look and name, then the second option is the default Joe Random.

    So here's more proof "some of the data" is on their server. We just need them to return our other items, data, rewards, etc.
