i understand the frustration people are having when the gameplay has regressed in nearly every aspect

I mean if you're gonna resort to the cliche "get good" line, pick someone you could beat. Like me. I'm awful. Last night I got one cheap single in a 3 inning game and then got thrown out because I still haven't figured out how to run the bases properly. You can tell me to get good.

If you were kidding, then kudos. I just don’t get the "ratio, touch grass, get good I can't think of my own jokes" lines that fill online forums and Twitter. If that's a flex then yeah I guess I was.

I was kidding, raesONE is a good player. I could beat him though.

Fair enough, I guess by my own logic, I have no idea how good you are. I can safely say either of you would beat haha.

Is absolutely absurd. Did SDS envision a slip n slide when creating these diving play animations? How does every infielder get a speed boost mid dive? You dive like 3 seconds early for a ball like 10 ft away and make the play every time. It’s the most overpowered defensive animation I’ve ever seen in mlbts

hasn’t been a decent hitting engine since 17 and even then we had the ridiculous issue of late hits generating 110+ exit velos. but at least the game consistently rewarded good pci placement

slowly…. im at a solid 0/30.

The momentum this year feels juiced compared to last year too. Once you get a couple bloop and a blast, it feels insurmountable to come back if you’re down, or impossible to get out if you’re hitting. Been on both sides more than once this year.

That's actually a very good point, I hadn't put too much stock into that up until now but that could very well be a big part of the issue.

Hitting has been pretty on point for me this year, definitely more consistant than last year. Sucks you are having such a horrible experience that we hear about every 20 minutes.

nah it’s definitely much more ridiculous this year lol. this specific infield diving animation is new

Agree on all points. MLB 25 is rivaling 18 rn for worst MLB I’ve played. Exit velos on good swings are the worst I’ve ever seen. Pitching is the worst it’s been since they’ve added pinpoint. Fielding is all over the place.

I used to be elite at this game and I was hoping to return to a competitive level this year, but after a month of this gameplay, I’ve changed my mind. I’m with @doobiebross66-72_PSN . It’s better to take a casual mindset to the game and not care so much about stats and record. Actually the game is so bad that it’s been making it easier to laugh off the losses.

I’m going to be doing these in batches of around 100. Finished the first one the other night. Here are the results:

Ground ball: 18/31 (14 singles, 4 doubles)
Line drive: 43/47 (13 singles, 16 doubles, 1 triple, 13 hr, 2 foul balls)
Fly ball: 27/27 (27 hr)

Stats:
-Ground ball: .581 avg, OPS ≈ 1.291
-Line drive: .915 avg, OPS ≈ 2.489
-Fly ball: 1.000 avg, OPS = 5.000

TOTAL: .838 avg, OPS ≈ 3.028

I was very surprised with the stats on line drives. I think I had a lot of good fortune there. Will be interesting to see if that continues on the next set.
