Pretty much everyone still playing this game has a locked in team right now and every card coming now and in the future will be a 99. Oh well. Its not all about you and your team. Other people play too.

Conquest was time consuming.
Moments took me some time.
I haven't completed Showdown. I think its luck of the draft and so far the players that pop up doesn't give me much of a choice. I would have loved to be able to use my DD guys against Showdown but that's not how it rolls.Oh and Wyatt....I must be a monkey LMAO
LOL, if you haven't beat conquest it is because you don't play conquest. You could beat it with one hand on the controller, my friend
I haven't tried but now I'm worried I'll somehow prove to be less skilled than a monkey. Though if you say it's easier than the US Map, that gives me hope. I am chipping away at this with an ice pick to Mt everest. 9 points and counting!!!!!
The conquest isnt that bad really. You just have to take 5 strongholds in the first 5 moves (basically, 5 games on All Star) and then steal 9 million fans in the first 9 moves. After that, the goals are just take X amount of strongholds and X amount of territories.
-
I dont mind a challenge at all but i have to be motivated (and sober) for the conquest. Lately when i smoke, i have this bad habit of swinging at everything and anything. On lower difficulties in non turn based activities, it doesnt matter because you can put up 5-6 anyway. Its a little different on AS and above though. As it is now, i've taken 4 strongholds in the first 4 moves and im almost done with the 9 million fans goal. After that, it should be a breeze.
Ive also done enough moments to grab Kerry Wood so im grinding his pxp in the conquest and mini seasons.
-
Mini Seasons has been updated 4 times with the 5th update coming on Wednesday. As far as the supercharged players, they aren't gonna supercharge people for doing regular [censored]. The reason we were getting more earlier this season is because people were doing supercharge worthy stuff.
-
Around 690K i think. I made enough to get all the boss packs, the FutureOTF packs, the Big Dogs and the 1st Intense pack.

I havent been in these forums for about a month and you still haven't shut up.

Imagine not wanting to play a mode because you can't abuse it.
Scoring 10 runs in a game isn’t abusing the mode. It was the first and only skill based mission ALL YEAR.
If it was so easy to abuse you would have done it instead of crying about losing homeruns online to rage quits.
Now it’s back to regular scheduled fortnite missions where you get it for showing up instead of doing anything.
How is scoring 10- runs against the CPU "skill based"?
Rookie, Sandlot, 2022 AS/HR Derby cards.....easy 10 runs. Lets not act like you're playing chess with Bobby Fischer or something. The CPU is kinda predictable with the pitching patterns. If you dont score 10 runs in at least 2-3 games of mini seasons without trying, theres something wrong with you.
-
Wait....you're disappointed over a 90+ Awards, left handed pitcher card that can go towards collections but you're excited about an 85 LS diamond that can go up or down every other week?

I guess I'm different because those "antics" just make me want to win more and I focus up and play better all together. I guess I enjoy a challenge and welcome the obstacles. This is has always been my approach and a stupid video game seems to be no different.
This post doesnt seem like the type to come from someone who enjoys a challenge and welcomes the obstacles.
It does, I want to play on Legend difficulty any time I want to so I can get better. You trollin' way to hard bruh.

I cant use the players I want due to the restrictions and its stuck on all-star h3ll.
I'm trolling but the guy who welcomes challenges and obstacles is crying that he cant use cards he wants because of restrictions.

This is why i havent touched online this year. I'll continue the offline grind while other people waste their time earning (or trying to earn) cards that they're gonna sell anyway and i'll just buy them when the price drops.
Let me see if I understand this correctly. So you buy cards to beat the CPU on rookie? That doesn't sound like much fun. I need a competitive grind so online isn't that bad to me.
What "competitive grind"? Half of the people in here [censored] and moan about everything related to online. Freeze offs, bunt cheese, R2 spammers, lag, opponents [censored] poor PCI placement and the fact that they get homeruns on horrible swings while all your* perfect/perfect are lineouts at the track, superman dives, progress/innings not counting for programs....and the list goes on and on.
What's "competitive" about crying over every aspect of online? I guess sitting in a freeze off for 2 days would be considered "competitive" but I'll play my game, thanks lol
You are talking about the 1 percent of the community that actually knows this forum exists. On top of that you will never hear about the people that actually enjoy this game because they have no reason to complain.
Also, no where in your ridiculous rant did you answer my question. Why would you spend stubs on Diamonds to paly the computer on rookie? Ahh, I get it now its because you are considered food to your opponents online. You would prefer to have a false sense of accomplishment by beating the Orioles on the lowest difficulty possible instead of testing your skills against a capable opponent. I fully understand now.
And this is why he, and many others, stay away from online play. People like you that think the ONLY way to play this game is to play other people online so they can float about a fictitious batting average and ERA.
You like playing against other players. He, and others, like playing against the CPU.
Neither way is wrong. It's all preference.
Good point!
All I was trying to do is understand why one would put time and energy into such a brain numbing grind. What's the purpose? You would have a good enough team to compete with the CPU on day one of release. Maybe there is something I'm missing by playing online exclusively.
There is alot you are missing actually! Your assumption is what sticks out the most! You assume everyone play Orioles for one, then you assume everyone who plays offline plays on rookie.
When you set your settings to Competitive the CPU plays completely different than years past. AI has been improved upon in numerous ways. Making the experience the funnest it's been in at least 5-7 years.
So the point is people want to play competitive baseball without the BS that plagues Online h2h gameplay. SDS has accomplished that and I am very thankfull for one.
"Online h2h Only" type players are a majority of the reason the game never gets better. Due to the fact b/c they can never agree as to what makes mode better. Instead every year people find a new way to cheese, then it gets showed on a stream or you tube video and next thing you know everyones trying to do it.
I just don't see the point of grinding for the best players and not taking them online to see how they can hold up to a 102 MPH outlier FB.
102mph outlier fastballs exist offline too. You do realize this, right?
Really?! They have outlier fastballs offline too?! Thanks for clearing that up professor.
Its different when its down the middle on rookie ball.
I cant help but wonder how many times you ran head first into a brick wall before posting today. No one can be this stupid on purpose.

Its not just the forums though. Its Twitter comment sections, Reddit threads, multiple Facebook groups. Im sure its not just the same handful of people posting in each one and i just happen to catch them.
As far as the second part of your ridiculous rant, between people using Kontrol Freeks and Cronus, am i REALLY afraid of the challenge....or is those jerk0ffs that need every single edge they can get to boost their ego along with their imaginary batting average? Its one of the reasons ive gravitated towards single player games the past few years and away from the CODs and the 2Ks. Too many people need that ego boost to make themselves feel better. I don't. Im perfectly content playing single player games without messages from some douche mad that i bunted or the PCI placement on my 2 run walkoff HR doesnt meet their standards. Get bent.
What the hell is your problem man. AGAIN, WHY DO PEOPLE WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME OFFLINE?! That's all I want to know. I don't give a squat about twitter or this other BS that you choose to read then spend your time complaining about. I want to know to see if there is anything I am missing playing exclusively online. That's all, its not neuroscience.
BECAUSE ITS MY GAME AND I CAN PLAY WHATEVER AND HOWEVER I WANT.
Not sure why the most basic concept is so hard for you to understand. Again, go back to my previous comments. You're missing the opportunity to play a full 3 or 9 inning game without lag, rage quitters, R2 spammers, bunt cheese, messages from someone who wasn't hugged enough as a child, freeze offs...the ability to pause whenever you want without a time limit. Why is it so important for you to know why people play offline? I dont think any of us give 3 squirts in a bucket about you playing only online so why the "need to know"?

Some people just play with specific players until they get them P5 regardless of program missions or challenges because getting P5 IS the mission/challenge. I was the 19th person to P5 Curtis Granderson because he never left my lineup no matter what mode i played.

There is no "next gen". Its current gen and last gen. Maybe you should get a current gen console and then when you get wrecked on that, you can find some other excuse.
The difference between PS4 and PS5 or the XBox versions is minimal. But some people need every excuse under the sun to justify their losses.
This is pure nonsense. I had Xbox One and was hitting below .200 and about to give up on the game. Instead I got a Series X and am now a .300 hitter and winning half or better of my H2H games. It is borderline impossible to hit on old gen.
Surely it has nothing to do with playing the game more and getting better over time or anything...
