Offline player here, I'd love more, but I just don't know what more can be done. The only thing I haven't seen that I'd love is some mode where you can play all 30 teams best all time rosters.

Following some of the thoughts here, how about a playoff or World Series mode that is team specific for each team? The CPU team would have the best players available from a specific team and the human would also be restricted to players from that same team. Choose a difficulty to start and the reward for winning levels up with the difficulty selected.
Additionally, SDS needs to pay some attention to Mini Seasons - details like CPU pitcher fatigue working the same as human team and actual relevant stats with AB and IP minimums.

Its a baseball game....without completely changing the way the game is played, theres not much they can do besides mini seasons, conquests and vs cpu
Did you play MVP baseball or Midway's Slugfest? There is plenty they could do to keep the game fresh/fun without selling a new pack every 30 seconds.
Of course i played MVP. But what about that was different than anything in MLB The Show? They had Dynasty mode....which is basically March To October without the fast play. They had Owners Mode which is basically franchise. I think they had HR Derby in 04....which The Show also has. Seriously i think nostalgia blinds a lot of people in here. The MVP games were great at the time but they wouldnt exactly be groundbreaking today because we have all the same [censored] in The Show.
As far as Slugfest....no. I dont play those kinda games.
You know what... I absolutely agree with your points as far as MVP baseball goes, perhaps I am somewhat nostalgic in that regard. However, what Midway was doing with castles, underwater domes, and generally over the top fun environments over 20 years ago, makes the Show look bland in comparison. It may not be sim but the Show isn't really going for the ultra realistic appeal anymore.
And that right there is exactly why i dont play games like MLB The Bigs or Slugfest. And its why i didnt play NBA Jam. I dont need to see smoke trails when im rounding the bases or flames on the ball if i hit a homerun. I dont wanna play in underwater stadiums or on top of a volcano or whatever.
Its why i thought the Kaiju nonsense was one of the worst things about The Show in the 20 years ive been playing. I just wanna play baseball.

Yeah we all get that. Everybody wants more modes but no one has any idea as to what they can do that doesnt drastically change the way the game of baseball is played.

I just started a mini seasons run and I noticed that if the CPU on there start the same pitcher that I have in my rotation then my guy who I'm not even pitching in that game has lost energy and can't pitch in the next game when he's up in the rotation. Have you noticed this at all?

We had something like that a few years ago. I think the games were 3 innings with teams' legends, on HOF difficulty, or was it all-star, when I wasn't good at AS back then!

Must of been a year I didn't buy.

Just a thought but what about a regular DD Season? Same format as a mini season but you can play a full 9 innings. Sometimes while playing mini’s it can be hard to get in a rhythm or have consistency. I’d play for sure since I’m exclusively an offline player.

There are tons of options.
There could be an offline version of ranked with increasing difficulty
There could be a 5 inning play every team once gauntlet where the teams rosters upgrade throughout the year with the new cards -
I guess I don't see it from a single player or solo play view but I feel like they have plenty of game modes especially offline. It doesn't feel like the menus and interactions are up to par though. All game modes I've played still feel unpolished and a bit watered down like they could be doing much more. There are so many games modes that don't offer appropriate XP because the player base can just abuse the game modes queue or difficulties so rather than fixing the mode SDS just nerfs any possible way of gaining anything out of playing it effectively ended the modes queues altogether.
They have SOOOO many offline modes but no one plays them and it's probably because of how unpolished and unrewarding they have become. -
The show has more single player modes than any other sports game by double but I am sure for you they can come up with more.

@tode86_PSN it would be awesome if they could called “Classic Conquest”. You go through the best teams throughout the teams history and as you level up you earn jerseys, players and logos, and in addition stadiums based the difficulty and challenges you have to overcome. Each Set 1-5 or whatever it is goes to. But, once you get to the last challenge you can choose a 99 from any other teams in each division. And keep it permanently no Wild Card or nothing. What do u guys think?

Those were challenging at the time. I don't think I finished them all. May go back and try this year. -

It was suggested ever since the 1st all time teams program, to have all time team conquest maps or vs CPU,or even a new mode for it, suggested repeatedly for about 3-4 years before ppl gave up on it.

Doing that offline is basically March to October or franchise on dynamic difficulty.
Also, arent you the guy who wants to limit the amount of xp online players get? Considering they'd have access to this mode as well, what would you suggest to prevent them from earning all this new xp?

They don’t have to re-invent the wheel:
“Extreme” Conquest or MS (same mechanics but with 9 innings games) would be a big thing for me. I like to play 9 but vs CPU is a waste because it counts against nothing in terms of programs.
Would love a USA map where all games are 9 innings.

If I could like this more than once , id probably break the counter.
