This is my first year playing, but I think the game is dope! Anytime i get over 700 and have to hit on HOF, it gets a little rough for me. Seems like the server issues become more of a thing at the higher levels? But lately I’ve been hitting a little better on hall of fame. This is easily the best sports video game I have played, and I wish I had gotten into MLB the show in previous years. I haven’t had to spend any money, and have been able to get every player I’ve wanted, other than chipper Jones. So that part of it had been great as well

Maybe we could pay 19000 stubs each year until 2031 for Bonilla?

I doubt Hader is a “hardcore racist.” Seems like it would cause some issues in his daily life as pro baseball player, in a very diverse league. I’d agree with what was said earlier. Posting something dumb as a high schooler doesn’t make you a “hardcore racist.” Also to be clear, what he did post was offensive and unacceptable. But many people learn from their mistakes and mature as they grow into adults.

It’s kind of a lot of ups and downs. From game to game I can either be raking, or the next game I can’t even see a 97 mph fastball. I thought it was just a learning curve since I’m pretty new to the game, but it seems weird that I will be able to see the ball fine on HOF and get 10 hits and 4 or 5 home runs off an outlier pitcher. Then some games on all star I can’t even see the ball on a non outlier one. It doesn’t seem like this was happening a few weeks ago. Something definitely seems to have changed with either the game, or the servers I think

My son and I are quarantined with Covid so decided to work together on our accounts to get Trout ( I had been in at drop and thought I had placed the 78th 1M buy order, but realized yesterday morning I had mistakenly placed one for 100,000 stubs ( ugh) and would have been about 2001 in line.
So we took turns playing on our accounts yesterday with me pitching and he hitting. We went about 9-3 roughly on eqxh account but the disappointing thing is a third the guys we are playing are WS banner guys with insane records tanking down in the 400-600 range ( these guys have lineups with averages between .350-.420 and 60-140 homers per player).
I get the rush to get Trout, but SDS should block these guys from playing RS on All Star once they hit WS as they are ruining the games for the guys who should be playing in this range to have a chance to earn wins. It’s a really Sh**ty thing to do.
Now in fairness, my son amd I can compete well enough to beat a few of these guys and we will wallow thru bouncing between 550-800 likely while we get our 30 wins, bit there are so many players that will have to play who knows how many games to earn the wins when you factor in them getting matched with these jack holes…I hope SDS figured a way to not reward these rank and tank players if they plan to keep the 30 win system next year.
I'm one of those WS guys in the 600s right now, I took a couple months off and it takes like 10 wins to get back to HOF. Just know that a lot of us don't intentionally tank
I know, my friend. I always check gamer tags after and can see the guys who are tanking compared to the WS guys who just saw their rankings plummet due to not playing for seasons.
It’s the guys with records of 22-21 and a bunch of 0-0 first inning losses this season and still playing in the 500s I am talking about and have seen multiple.
And to the guy asking why tanking is wrong, they have levels for a reason….but have fun destroying lousy competition so you can feel good about yourself when you obviously have the skills to be competitive at higher levels. ( play casuals on AS if you want to dominate with other line ups).
It's December. There isn't any noob competition left. I tank to play all my RS games in the 400-550 range, and I rarely match up against a truly new player like that. It's mostly other tankers and folks that are decent but are clearly on a TV.
Remember, RS ranking resets every few weeks. So every player in the game "tanks" at the beginning of every month, and new players have to play veteran players all the time. It's built in.
What's the big deal about building it into the game just a bit more?
Game was just on sale for 10$, it’s available year round on gamepass, there is always noob competition.
So if little Billy gets the game for 10 bucks and heads online with his starter team, I'm supposed to feel bad for shelling him?
I dont play call of duty cause I saw combat a long time ago and I don't care to relive it. But imagine if I bought COD right now for 10 bucks and headed into their online multiplayer.
I wouldn't expect to get a bunch of kills. I would expect to be killed over and over.
I would not imagine that the forums of COD would debate whether or not it was ethical for them to to shoot me the noob. Do they do that? I dont think they do that.
Wait a minute. You say that you saw combat a long time again but you’re only 19 according to another post.

I feel like on HOF, the game plays pretty realistic. Most games are in the 3-5 runs range for each team, and you definitely gotta earn your hits. Now whether or not it’s more fun than blasting dingers on all star, is debatable. But for a more realistic baseball experience, I think the games on HOF are more legit. I’m def not ready for legend yet lol.

Sorry this is gonna sound dumb…. But what does “active quirk” mean?
An active quirk has direct impact on a play. It can increase your pci, decrease your pci, I believe in some cases you get a slight power boost too with ones like night/day or home/away player. Non active quirks are basically labels that signify a player is good in a specific attribute. Bomber for instance is given to players with over 80 power, but has no effect in game.
Got it, thanks!

Haha I was nervous to post this in case I play anyone online. But it’s blatantly obvious once you throw me one or two of them anyways . There have been some people who did it too often, and I’m eventually able to sit and wait on it. But it’s rare

Haha welcome back

Haha I’ve played you 2 or 3 times VK. And the games were fun and competitive. But then you quit . No big deal or anything, I’m just wondering now if I paused the game or something and that’s why you quit. I normally don’t pause for a long time, but every once in awhile it’s probably happened.

I definitely think you guys should play, let’s do this!

The video that poksey posted is great! The dude gets so excited, and definitely thinks he’s gettin a walk off, then when he immediately grounds out you can tell that he feels duped.
This will sound very controversial...
